OVW TV #772: "Mission: Take Out Jamin"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, June 4, 2014. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Adam Revolver delivers a message from "the boss", Melvin Maximus defends the OVW TV Title, Randy Terrez faces Shiloh Jonze, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"Danger International" The Mexicutioner & Dylan Bostic (w/Timmy Danger) vs. "The Wild Boyz" Eddie F. Diamond & "The Party Starter" Bud Dwight.
Wild Boyz work over Dylan's arm for the early part of the match. A distraction by Timmy Danger allows Bostic to knock EFD off the ropes as he was attempting to superplex him. Bostic leaps off and connects with a double axehandle. EFD gets double teamed in the corner as referee Josh Ashcraft keeps Dwight out. Mexicutioner hits a big slam. Bostic works over EFD's head and neck in submissions, but EFD kicks him off and finally gets the hot tag. Dwight punches Bostic, hits a shoulder tackle, and then a high knee. Mexicutioner breaks up a pin attempt. EFD gets back in, but is quickly thrown out of the ring. Mexicutioner & Bostic hit the super backstabber on Dwight for the 3.
WINNERS: BOSTIC & MEXICUTIONER by pinfall.

Big Jon vs. "Big Country" Clint Poe.
Both men hit the ropes and run into each other. Poe hits the ropes, ducks a clothesline, and comes back with a giant shoulder tackle. Poe hits Jon with a big powerslam to finish him off.
WINNER: POE by pinfall.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings).

Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey, & Michael Titus are on commentary with Shannon the Dude as the ring announcer.

Backstage, Timmy Danger is with Marcus Anthony, Dylan Bostic, & the Mexicutioner, when Adam Revolver enters the room. Danger says look who's back. Adam says he just spoke with the boss, and tonight their mission is to take out Jamin Olivencia. Adam then warns Timmy that if they fail, it's not on them, it's on the management.

Shiloh Jonze (w/Nick Dumeyer) vs. Randy Terrez.
Terrez with a quick start and a hurricanrana. Off the ropes, Dumeyer pulls on the ropes, tripping Terrez up and making him fall out of the ring. Shiloh goes out and rolls him back in. He hits Terrez and stretches his back in a submission. Terrez fights out and goes for his finisher, but Dumeyer gets on the apron. Terrez goes to hit Dumeyer, but Dumeyer jumps down. Dumeyer finds Clint Poe behind him, and Poe lays him out. Shiloh tries to sneak up on Terrez, but Terrez hits a snapmare and a twisting forearm to the back. He then hits the corkscrew suplex finisher for the 3.
WINNER: TERREZ by pinfall.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Jake Glacier vs. "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (c).
Glacier tries to slam, but Melvin doesn't budge. Melvin slams Glacier, hits him in the corner, and then throws him off the ropes. Melvin runs off the ropes and rams him with a massive shoulder block. He locks in the bearhug and this one is over.
WINNER and STILL OVW TV CHAMPION: MELVIN by submission.
Gilbert interviews Melvin. He says that Melvin has held the TV Title for most of the last 6 months and became very popular with the fans. Melvin says it feels great and holding the title makes him a contender. He then mentions Danger International trying to put a target on his back, especially Adam Revolver. He said he can bring 4, 5, 6 guys, a crooked ref, a chain, a belt, a ladder, if he wants it, come get it!

J. Best vs. Rump Thump.
Best takes Rump down and hits a kneedrop. He misses a second one and Rump Thump fires back and hits his Rump Thump for the victory.
WINNER: RUMP THUMP by pinfall.

Adam Revolver (w/Timmy Danger, the Mexicutioner, Dylan Bostic, & Marcus Anthony) vs. OVW Heavyweight Champion Jamin Olivencia (w/Paredyse & the Sky Walkers).
It should be noted that Josh Ashcraft is the referee. Jamin is on fire out of the gate, chopping Adam all over the ring. He sets up for the Standing O, but Marcus gets on the apron distracting him. Adam clips Jamin's knee and works it over. Jamin comes back and hits the Standing O, but Danger International gets in the ring and attacks Jamin. Josh doesn't call for the bell until Paredyse & the Sky Walkers enter the ring to even the odds.
NO CONTEST.
OVW Owner Danny Davis comes to ringside and says he is getting sick and tired of Danger International getting involved and his main events ending in disqualifications or getting thrown out. He says there is going to be an 8-man tag right now!
"Danger International" Adam Revolver, the Mexicutioner, Dylan Bostic, & Marcus Anthony (w/Timmy Danger) vs. OVW Heavyweight Champion Jamin Olivencia, Paredyse, & "the Sky Walkers" Aaron Sky & "Primetime" Robbie Walker.
We have a good back and forth match, except for some slow counts from Josh. All 8 men end up in the ring again. Mexicutioner & Bostic are thrown outside and Paredyse & the Sky Walkers all leap out on them. Back inside, Jamin had taken Marcus down, but Danger is on the apron. Revolver clocks Jamin in the head with a chain as Josh tries to get Jamin off of Danger, and Jamin stumbles into the Crimson Omen. Josh immediately calls for the bell.
WINNERS: DANGER INTERNATIONAL by submission.
OVW Owner Danny Davis comes back out, grabs Josh, and drags him into the ring. He doesn't know what got into him, or if he's being paid off, but Josh is now indefinitely suspended! He then tells Jamin that he can't do anything about tonight's decision, but wants to help him get his hands on Marcus & Revolver at Saturday Night Special. He introduces Jamin's partner, Melvin Maximus!

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"Marksman" Nick Dumeyer (w/Shiloh Jonze) vs. Elvis Pridemoore.
A back and forth match with interference by Shiloh, who stole Elvis' hat. In the end, the referee gets bumped and Shiloh tries to hit Elvis off the top rope. Elvis moves, and Shiloh hits Dumeyer. Shiloh is thrown out by Elvis. Elvis hits a kick to Dumeyer's head and follows it up with a chinbuster for the 3.
WINNER: ELVIS by pinfall.

Saturday Night Special is coming this Saturday! Already scheduled:

Jamin Olivencia & Melvin Maximus vs. Marcus Anthony & Adam Revolver.

Lei'D Tapa defends the OVW Women's Title against Jessie Belle & Mary Elizabeth Monroe.

Trash & Flash vs. the Body Guys in a TLC match.

  1. Hey, does anyone know why OVW put on 2 shows that night? Anyone know Russell Springs results?

    1. Try @RefChrisSharpe for full results. I do know that he teamed with the OVW return of Cliff Compton to defeat Dapper Dan & the Bodyguy, and that Deonta Davis defeated the Pastor of Disaster Stuart Miles.

They have been doing this on a yearly basis, visiting the Russell Springs fair, while also putting on the weekly TV show. The more exposure to the product, the better.

  2. Way to go, Danny!

  3. I wonder if by any chance Josette Bynum could be Timmy Danger's "Boss"? She hasn't been heard from in a while.

    1. My own personal thought on "the boss" is that it will be an active wrestler. Danger International currently has 4 people (Marcus Anthony, Adam Revolver, Dylan Bostic, & Mexicutioner) feuding with 5 people (Jamin Olivencia, the Sky Walkers, Melvin Maximus, & Paredyse). Adding an active wrestler to Danger International would make it an even 5-on-5 feud.

  4. It was a nice show for sure! What happens if the boss is Michael Hayes or Ali Vaez?! I hope you get a chance to make it to the Saturday Night Special tonight! I can't wait for those results!
