OVW TV #797: "Hopes Shot Down"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, November 26, 2014. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Michael Hayes defends the TV Title against the Congregation's "Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stu Miles, Melvin Maximus faces Adam Revolver for a shot at the OVW Heavyweight Title, Chris Silvio takes on Rump Thump, plus more!

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Dapper Dan vs. "Ram Jam" Jonathan Ramser.

Dapper Dan controls most of the match, powering over Ram Jam. He hits a Russian leg sweep, but misses an elbow drop off the ropes. Ram Jam rolls him up for the 3.

WINNER: RAM JAM by pinfall.

Timmy Danger & "Rudo" Raul LaMotta vs. "Primetime" Robbie Walker & Adam Wyld.

Raul is still stomping around upset that he is being disrespected. Adam & Robbie make quick tags and work over Timmy's arm. Raul hits Wyld and tags himself in. Raul works over Wyld and tags Danger back in. Wyld gets away and makes the tag to Robbie. Robbie comes in firing away, knocks Raul off the apron, and hits the Cosmic Kick to Danger for the 3.

WINNERS: WALKER & WYLD by pinfall.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Shannon the Dude is the ring announcer.

Trailer Park Trash comes out and says he wants Michael Titus at ringside, even if someone has to drag him out. He is pushed through the curtain, being held by the Wild Boyz. The War Machine and Marcus Anthony come out, but Trash tells them to shut up and stay back. He tells Titus that at the December 6 SNS, the War Machine will be in a tag match against him and a partner of his choice. Titus apologizes, but breaks away from the Wild Boyz and hides behind the War Machine & Marcus, and says he's sorry that Trash is a poor excuse for a director of operations and is sorry that he is trying to get sympathy for his dead father. Trash says that at the Saturday Night Special, if his team wins, he gets 5 minutes alone with Michael Titus!

"The Fabulous Free Bodies": The Bodyguy & Big Jon vs. "The Wild Boyz": Eddie F. Diamond & "Party Starter" Bud Dwight.

TerreMex joins Dean & Gilbert on commentary. Wild Boyz with quick tags early to work over Bodyguy, but the Free Bodies take advantage and work over EFD. Bodyguy misses a splash in the corner, and Big Jon runs in and almost collides with Bodyguy in the corner, but EFD gets away and tags Dwight. Dwight powers over Bodyguy, ducks a charge by Big Jon as EFD pulls down the ropes which causes Jon to fly outside, and then hits the Sobriety Check with EFD on Bodyguy for the 3.

WINNERS: WILD BOYZ by pinfall.
After the match, the Wild Boyz shake hands with TerreMex at ringside, but signal that they want the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles around their waists.

"The Ultraviolent" Chris Silvio (w/Silvio Security's Big Trevor & Mary Jane) vs. Rump Thump.

Silvio continues to shine in another good match, this time with Rump. Silvio hits a twisting neckbreaker, but Rump kicks out. Rump fires back, but Silvio jumps off the ropes in the corner to hit a diamond cutter. He yells at Mary Jane to shut up, he can't concentrate, as he climbs the ropes. He jumps off, but Rump thumps him in mid-air. Before he can go for the pin, he gets distracted by Mary Jane on the apron. Silvio tries to attack Rump from behind, but Rump rolls him up for 2. Silvio kicks out, and Rump falls into the ropes where he gets decked by Big Trevor. The ref doesn't see this as a dazed Rump turns into the Rocket Punch for the 3.

WINNER: SILVIO by pinfall.

Gilbert Corsey interviews Silvio, asking him why he is treating Mary Jane the way he is. Silvio says that they (Mary Jane & Trevor) came from nothing, and he gives them something to believe in. Everything is fine as long as you trust in Silvio. He tells Mary Jane to go on back and make sure things are ready, and starts to walk away, but turns and asks Gilbert if he has a problem. He asks Shannon the Dude if he's eyeballing him, and then grabs a chair from the announce table and throws it towards Gilbert.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles (w/"Apostle" Jake Glasure & "Altar Boy" Jade Dawson) vs. Michael Hayes (c).

Miles kicks Hayes and delivers the "Be Healed!" slaps to Hayes in the corner. Hayes fires back, hits a backdrop, and then hits the Facebuster for the 3.

WINNER and STILL OVW TV CHAMPION: HAYES by pinfall.
The Congregation attacks Hayes after the match and delivers 2 double Russian leg sweeps.

Adam Revolver vs. "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus.

Joe Wheeler is in the ring, but Josh Ashcraft runs out and tells Joe that there is some sort of emergency. Josh is now the ref. Melvin powers through Adam early, but misses a charge in the corner, and Adam takes out his knee. Adam works it over, and locks in the sleeper. Melvin fights out and locks in a bearhug. Adam goes to the outside as Melvin argues with Josh and grabs some sort of spray (ether?) and sprays it on a rag. He gets back inside and rubs it in Melvin's face, making him pass out. He puts the sleeper back on the unconscious Melvin, and Josh raises Melvin's arm 3 times for the submission win.

WINNER: REVOLVER by submission.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"The No Class Connection": Deonta Davis & Leon Shelly vs. OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "TerreMex": Randy Terrez & the Mexicutioner.

A back and forth match that sees TerreMex with a double roll-up on the No Class guys for the 3 and the win.

WINNERS: TERREMEX by pinfall.
