OVW TV #804: "No Love Triangle"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, January 14, 2015. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 9AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Dapper Dan defends the OVW TV Title against Rump Thump, the War Machine is in action, TerreMex gets one final shot at the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles against the Fabulous Free Bodies, Jim Cornette makes an announcement for the February 7 SNS, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling was in attendance tonight, and they had several GFW items for sale including autographed pictures and an autographed guitar.

"The No Class Connection": Deonta Davis & Leon Shelly vs. Adam Wyld & "Primetime" Robbie Walker.
Wyld & Walker work over Deonta's arm. They hit a double hiptoss and double dropkick. Wyld with a snapmare and pin attempt. Leon breaks it up and the No Class Connection works Wyld over in the corner. Leon locks in a sleeper, but Wyld breaks out and tags Robbie. Robbie in with dropkicks and tags Wyld back in. They hit a double team flapjack/fameasser combo for the 3.
WINNERS: WALKER & WYLD by pinfall.

J. Best vs. "Ram Jam" Jonathan Ramser.
Best hits and slams Ram Jam. Ram Jam comes back with an RKO out of nowhere, but Best kicks out at 2. Ram Jam goes up top and flies off, but Best avoids a flying body press, and Ram Jam crashes. Best picks up the 3.
WINNER: BEST by pinfall.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Terry Boddie & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Terry is also the ring announcer.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Dapper Dan (c) vs. Rump Thump.
Dan now has a mustache on the TV Title as well. Dan & Rump tangle around the ring. Off the ropes, Dan hits a shoulder block. Rump back with a slam and sets up for the Thump, but Dan rolls out. Rump goes out and hits him, but Dan rams Rump into the apron on his bad ribs. Back inside, he hits him in the corner and stretches Rump out. Rump fires back, but Dan rams him back into the corner. Rump kicks him away and hits a missile dropkick. Rump sets up for the Thump again, but again Dan rolls out. Dan grabs the TV Title and says he doesn't have to beat Rump, Rump has to beat him, and takes the 10-count.
WINNER: RUMP by countout, but DAPPER DAN remains champion.

Josh Ashcraft leads the War Machine out for action. He has a bluetooth attached and talks about having several more connections than Michael Titus ever did, and says he has promised gold to the War Machine. He says they will put their opponents in rehab.
"The War Machine": Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker (w/Josh Ashcraft) vs. Adam Wyld & "Primetime" Robbie Walker.
Walker is worked over for most of the match, hit with shoulder blocks, double teams, and gets choked by Josh on the outside. Locker locks in a sleeper, but Walker hits a jawbreaker. He tags in Wyld. Wyld with hip tosses and dropkicks. He goes up top, but Josh distracts the ref. Shiloh slides a chain to Locker and Wyld flies into a loaded fist from Locker, who gets the 3.
WINNERS: WAR MACHINE by pinfall.

"Ultraviolent" Chris Silvio (w/Big Trevor & Mary Jane) vs. "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe.
Silvio attacks Howe after he played the guitar and was putting his guitar away. Silvio hits his head off a steel chair and gets on the barricade. He jumps off onto Howe on the floor. He waits for Howe to get up and charges at him, but Howe backflips him onto the floor. He hits him against the barricade and rolls him back in. He slams Silvio and clotheslines him out of the ring. Howe jumps over the top rope, kicks Silvio in the face, and dives out on him. Howe rolls him back in and goes up top. Mary Jane causes a distraction for Silvio to jump up and flip Howe off the top rope. Silvio yells for Mary Jane to give him a chair. Mary is reluctant, but gives one to him. Silvio sets up to hit Howe with it, but Mary grabs it from behind. As Silvio argues with her, Howe gets up and hits Silvio from behind into the chair and gets the 3.
WINNER: HOWE by pinfall.
Silvio calls Mary Jane into the ring and she gets on her knees. He tells her to say she's sorry. As Silvio is yelling at her, Eddie Diamond runs out and attacks Silvio. Silvio retreats and tells Eddie that they fight again at the next SNS. He wants to up the ante, and tells Eddie that if he wins, he gets Mary Jane and can do whatever he wants with her, because he doesn't need her. He will "pass the trash", if you will.

The Congregation is out, and Rev. Stuart Miles says he has a good word: 'salvation'. Mohamad Ali Vaez comes out in a brown robe and says he has given up all his material possessions. He says in the coming weeks, he will have 2 miracles. He will be cleared to compete, and he will become OVW Heavyweight Champion. This brings Adam Revolver out.
He says the only miracle will be getting the OVW Heavyweight Title off of him. Michael Hayes comes out of the curtain, trying to fight his way through referees, Trailer Park Trash, & Jim Cornette. Cornette gets in the ring and says he is sick and tired of this.
At the next Saturday Night Special, there will be a triple threat with Adam defending against Ali & Michael. He says may the best man win and everyone else needs to shut up.

OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLES: "TerreMex": Randy Terrez & the Mexicutioner vs. "The Fabulous Free Bodies": The Bodyguy & Big Jon (c).
TerreMex attacks the Free Bodies as they go to enter the ring. The Free Bodies come back and work over Terrez. Jon accidentally runs into Bodyguy, and Terrez gets a hot tag to Mex. Mex fires away on Jon & Bodyguy, and is fighting with Jon in the corner. The ref is watching them, as Terrez gets in the ring with brass knucks. He decks Bodyguy behind everyone's back and gets back out of the ring. Mex turns around and covers Bodyguy for the 3.
WINNERS and NEW OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: TERREMEX by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"The Congregation": Jade Dawson & "Apostle" Jake Glasure (w/"Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles) vs. Elvis Pridemoore & Eddie F. Diamond.
The Congregation work over Eddie for most of the match, using double teams and distractions. EFD finally gets the tag to Elvis. Elvis fires away on both men, as EFD gets back in and clotheslines himself & Jade out of the ring. Elvis slams Jake and hits a splash off the top rope for the 3.
WINNERS: ELVIS & EFD by pinfall.

We now know that the OVW Heavyweight Title will be defended in a triple threat as Adam Revolver defends against Mohamad Ali Vaez and Michael Hayes, and that Chris Silvio will once again square off with Eddie Diamond, with Eddie geting Mary Jane if he wins.

As always, thanks for reading!
