Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
J. Best defeated Dre Blitz. Blitz had some early momentum, but missed a kneedrop. Best clotheslines him, lifts him up, and hits a TKO for the 3.
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings)
and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
Terry Boddie & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, and Shannon is the ring announcer.
"The Chosen One" Mitch Huff defeated "The Standout" Adam Wylde. This was a very entertaining back and forth match with several near falls. Wylde tries some quick rollup attempts, but Huff kicks out. Wylde goes for his roundhouse kick, but Huff ducks, and then rolls Wylde up and gets the 3.
Dave-Lo & Leon Shelly come to the ring. Josh Ashcraft then comes out and says that he is not afraid of voodoo magic. He then tells Synn that what he has next is something she couldn't predict. We are supposed to have tag team action, but he found someone who was being held back and is now his personal bodyguard. That man will face Leon & Dave-Lo in a handicap match since the 2 of them put together equal 1 man...Trevor Steele!
Trevor Steele defeated Dave-Lo & Leon Shelly. Dave-Lo & Leon tried to attack Trevor as he entered the ring, but their shots didn't faze him. They throw Trevor off the ropes, but he breaks through their double clothesline attempt, grabs them both by their throats, and chokeslams them for the 3.
After the match, Glasure continued to pound on Elvis, which brought out Jade Dawson.
Glasure took him down and started stomping on him until the Mexicutioner came out and ran Glasure off.
After the match, Shannon the Dude asks Adam if he put his hands on Jessie Belle again. Before he can answer, Ryan Howe runs out and attacks Revolver.
He chops him, and even has a soda thrown in Adam's face on behalf of a fan at ringside. Adam takes out Howe's leg though, and hits the bad knee off the floor at ringside. He tells Howe that he won't just be the last man standing, he'll be the only man standing.
Terry Boddie brought out the OVW Heavyweight Champion Eddie Diamond. He talks about EFD's upcoming match with Jay Bradley, and shows him Jay's video. EFD says he's glad Jay hasn't forgotten about OVW, because OVW hasn't forgotten about him. He says that the only way Jay will take the title away from him is by breaking him, and he isn't going to give up that easy, because he has spent 10 years risking his livelihood and his career to get where he is.
This ended the TV taping.
Post-Show Dark Matches:
A funny moment to start this match as Huff slapped hands with several children at ringside. Trevor then decided to do the same, but first licked or spit in his hand and had a few children slap hands with him.
Huff had the early advantage, but Jon came back with some power moves. Huff caught Jon with a super kick, but Jon kicked out at 2. Trevor got on the apron, distracting Huff, and Huff turned into a chokeslam from Jon for the 3.
Don't forget that the next Saturday Night Special is THIS SATURDAY!
