***Due to my upcoming marriage on Saturday and everything that goes with it, tonight's report will feature quick results and less details than usual as I have a lot on my plate.***
Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings)
and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Shannon the Dude is the ring announcer.
Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey open the show with a recap from SNS. We then see a video of Eddie Diamond following his match at SNS, where he says that he is more determined than ever, and anyone who wants to step up, will tap out!
Dean & Gilbert return to the announce table and go over what happened between Randy Royal & Trailer Park Trash. Danny Davis comes out and tells them to stop the footage.
He gets in the ring and says he is sick and tired of this business that he built, with all the backstabbing that happens. He calls Randy Royal, Vic the Bruiser, & Jason Lee a bunch of S.O.B.'s, and says that Frank Miller is like a son to him. He was there with the recent loss of his father and is like a father figure to him. He is ticked off about Vic, Randy, & Jason taking a dump on what he built. He says when things like this happen, he takes it very personal. He doesn't want to do this anymore, drops the mic, and leaves.
OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE OPEN CHALLENGE: Eddie Diamond (c) defeated Adam Revolver. EFD immediately goes for the Crossfire , but Adam breaks out, and works over EFD's arm. EFD comes back with a back elbow off the ropes and slaps Adam in the back. Adam swipes his leg off the apron. Back inside, EFD comes back and goes for the 10 punch in the corner, but Adam drops him across the top turnbuckle and rolls him up for 2. He locks in a side headlock, but EFD breaks out and forearms Adam. Adam throws him off and locks in the sleeper. As EFD works his way up, Adam headbutts him in the back. He gets EFD in the corner and goes for a superplex, but EFD headbutts him off. He goes for a body press, but Adam ducks. He tries to lock the sleeper back in, but EFD reverses into the crossfire for the tapout.
Someone runs out from backstage to get a cameraman in the parking lot, where Rev. Stu Miles & Jade Dawson are fighting outside. They brawl until Miles gets into a car and speeds off.
"The Chosen One" Mitch Huff & "The Standout" Adam Wylde defeat OVW Southern Tag Team Champion Big Jon & Trevor Steele (w/Josh Ashcraft). Trevor & Jon attack Wylde & Huff upon their entrance. Huff gets worked over the entire match until a hit tag to Wylde. Wylde comes in firing away, and all 4 men end up fighting to the outside. Huff shoves Trevor into the ringpost and then superkicks Big Jon, who had Wylde on his shoulders. Wylde & Huff win by countout, and Josh Ashcraft freaks out at ringside after hearing the evil laugh of Synn.
Backstage, Ryan Howe says he was the last man standing. He knows what it took to get the title, and what it will take to keep the title.
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe vs. "Double R Superstar" Randy Royal (w/Vic the Bruiser) goes to a no-contest. A back and forth match with interference from Vic. Howe rallies and hits the Chart Topper, but Vic pulls the ref out. Vic & Randy double-team Howe, which brings out Eddie Diamond & Mitch Huff. Trevor Steele & Big Jon then run out, as well as Adam Wylde. We have another 4-on-4 melee, and another crazy flip off the top rope by Wylde. Once again, Diamond, Wylde, Howe, & Huff stand tall to end the show.
This ended the TV taping.
Post-Show Dark Matches:
"The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stu Miles vs. Jade Dawson goes to a no-contest after they both get counted out.
***Thanks to Sam Lawhorn for the post-show results.***
I will be away next week on my honeymoon, so enjoy watching the show on WBNA-21 or online, and I shall return! Thanks for your support and as always, thanks for reading!
