Elvis with a backdrop to Leon off the ropes and a big hip toss. Elvis throws Leon off the ropes, but Leon jumps around Elvis and rolls him up in a crucifix pin for the 3.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Terry Boddie is the ring announcer.

We see Randy Royal trying to enter the building, but he gets rejected by Adam Wylde and then Eddie Diamond.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey open the show in the ring. Gilbert says Danny Davis is about to close the doors because of a group of outcasts, and we see a video package from last week's encounter between Randy Royal & Dean Hill.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe (c) defeats "The Man" Jason Lee (w/Vic the Bruiser). Howe goes right after Lee and takes him down. He hits 10 punches in the corner and knocks Lee from the ring. He then dives out on Lee & Vic. Howe goes up top, but Vic pulls his leg and Howe gets racked across the turnbuckle. Lee goes up and hits a frankensteiner off the top rope. He kicks Howe and chokes him with his boot. He hits an elbow drop for 2. He throws Howe in the corner, grabs Howe's foot, slaps him in the face, and clotheslines him. He locks in a headlock, but Howe breaks out with a chinbuster and an enziguri. Howe fires away, hits the sliding uppercut, dropkick, and the strumming fist drop. Howe goes up again, and Lee climbs up to try for another frankensteiner, but Howe knocks him off and Lee straddles the top rope. Howe kics Vic in the face, then goes up and hits the Chart Topper for the 3. Dean Hill hands the belt to Howe and raises his hand.

We see a video from Dapper Dan Van Zandt. He says that he will be bringing the family circus to town soon.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are at the desk talking about War Games after a video package from the end of last week's show when Jessie Belle comes running out looking for Ryan Howe all flustered.

Josh Ashcraft comes out with the War Machine and says that the other team should just forfeit now, because they don't stand a chance. Adam Wylde comes out and says that Josh knows his partner Mitch Huff is out sick with bronchitis and a fever of 105, but if he has to fight them 3-on-1, he will. Eddie Diamond comes out and says he will definitely be defending this house and we have a handicap teaser match where the winning team will get an advantage in the War Games match at the July 4 SNS...
OVW Heavyweight Champion Eddie Diamond & "The Standout" Adam Wylde defeat OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "The War Machine": Big Jon & Eric Locker and Trevor Steele (w/Josh Ashcraft). Wylde & Eddie fire away, but Locker catches Eddie with an uppercut. Locker goes for the pin, but Wylde breaks it up.Wylde & Eddie fire away on the War Machine again and are about to be thrown into each other, but Wylde & Eddie reverse and take out Trevor & Jon, and then hit them with dropkicks. They then drop the top rope as Locker charges and Locker flies out. Wylde hits a dropkick and hurricanrana on Locker when he gets back in, but goes for a second one, and Locker catches him, spins him around, and hits a german suplex. Wylde gets worked over for a bit, but gets flipped into a tag to Eddie. Eddie with a forearm to Locker and a bulldog. Eddie goes off the ropes and is blind tagged by Wylde. Eddie continues running and dives out on Jon & Trevor. Wylde hits Locker with a flying body press and then rolls Locker up for the 3!

Ryan Howe is now out looking for Jessie Belle and says something weird is going on. Randy Royal appears on the screen and says he will return Howe's little girlfriend if he gets what he wants...a TV Title shot. If Howe says that's all, they can do it right now...
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "Double R Superstar" Randy Royal (w/Vic the Bruiser, Jason "The Man" Lee, & Jessie Belle) defeats "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe (c). Vic & Jason have Jessie Belle tied up with them at ringside. Howe attacks Royal and throws him into the barricade. He hits and chops him. He goes up top, but is distracted, and Royal kicks him off to the outside.
The match goes back and forth with interference by Vic & Jason. Howe goes for his reverse cross body, but hits the ref. Jessie bites the rope off her hands and gets free.
She jumps on Jason, but after Howe recovers and fights them all off, Jessie low-blows Howe. Royal then connects with a pedigree for the 3.

Backstage, "Ironman" Rob Conway enters Danny Davis' office and asks him if the rumors are true about Danny closing OVW. Danny is packing things up and says he just can't do it anymore. Conway mentions that Danny has put so much into OVW, the arena is named after him, he can't just walk away. If it wasn't for Danny, Batista, John Cena, Randy Orton, and others wouldn't be where they are today. He trusts Danny, because he came to OVW 18 years ago and has had a successful career. He wants Danny to trust him and tag with him at the Saturday Night Special against those outcasts. Danny thinks long and hard, and agrees to it!

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Trevor Steele defeated Oso Rayos in a squash with a big pumphandle slam.

Adam Revolver defeated The Mexicutioner. Mex was on a roll and hit the spinebuster. He set up for the spear, but Adam rolled out and grabbed a chair. Mex got the chair away and went to hit Adam, but the ref grabbed it away. Adam then rolled Mex up from behind for the 3.

Next week, we find out the fourth member of each team for War Games that will join the War Machine and the team of Eddie Diamond, Adam Wylde, & Mitch Huff!
As always, thanks for reading!

  1. While I certainly don't condone Randy Royal's comments(especially the remark about about Dean's wife) I think I should point out that during that confrontation, Randy never put a hand on Dean. It was, in fact, Dean that struck the first blow.
