OVW TV #826: "War Games"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, June 17, 2015. In this episode, Eddie Diamond defends the Heavyweight Title in another open challenge, Danny Davis announces War Games, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE OPEN CHALLENGE: Eddie Diamond (c) defeated Trevor Steele by DQ after interference by Josh Ashcraft.

Jessie Belle defeated Amazing Maria.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Shannon the Dude is the ring announcer.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey open the show and Ryan Howe jams on the guitar. They show a video package from last week of Danny Davis walking out. Dean says he won't answer calls or e-mails.

Leon Shelly defeated "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles after Jade Dawson distracts Stu. Stu & Jade brawl to the back as Randy Royal comes out. Randy tells everyone to calm down and says he has done some things unforgivable, but the fans have always been behind him. He says the only thing he can do is apologize for Danny Davis walking out, but Danny walked out instead of fighting, and cried. He's not going to apologize, and he'll show Danny how he'll piss on his business. Dean Hill gets in the ring and is furious. He won't let Randy disrespect the man who's put food on his table for 20 years. Vic the Bruiser comes out, but Randy says he can fight his own battles. Randy tries to run his mouth more, but Dean slaps him hard in the face and goes after him! Vic gets in and tries to double team Dean, but Ryan Howe runs out and runs them off. Dean leaves, and Josh Ashcraft joins Gilbert Corsey on commentary. This leads us into...
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe (c) defeated Vic the Bruiser (w/"Double R Superstar" Randy Royal) by pinfall following the Chart Topper. Randy Royal, Jason Lee, & Vic the Bruiser triple-team Howe and grab a chair, but Jessie Belle gets in the ring and covers Ryan so they can't use it.

Backstage, Gilbert Corsey interviews Eddie Diamond and says Eddie still has doubters. Eddie starts to talk when he gets interrupted by a delivery. He looks in the box and asks if it is a sick joke and wonders who sent it and walks off. We then see Adam Revolver arguing with the production guys. He says Danny Davis or not, he's coming on the show and they better play his music.

Adam Revolver comes out saying he'll do whatever he has to in order to get on the show and issues a challenge for anyone in the back to come out to try and shut him up. Rump Thump comes out...
Rump Thump defeated Adam Revolver after breaking the sleeper and hitting the Thump for the 3.

Josh Ashcraft is back in the ring and fans chant for Synn, but he says they won't get it. He says since Danny Davis is gone, he is in charge and has a surprise. With the War Machine scheduled to defend against Adam Wylde & Mitch Huff, and the heat and lightning storms outside, he can't afford to endanger his guys. He is cancelling the match and the show is over. Wylde & Huff come out and say they earned their shot last week. Seeing the War Machine isn't here, that just leaves Josh. They grab him, but get attacked from behind by the War Machine.

OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: "The War Machine": Big Jon & Eric Locker (w/Josh Ashcraft) (c) defeated Adam Wylde & Mitch Huff after interference from Trevor Steele, allowing Locker to get the pin. They continue brawling and the locker room empties! Randy Royal, Vic the Bruiser, Jason Lee, Ryan Howe, Eddie Diamond, and more are out! Danny Davis returns and tells everyone to stop or he will close the doors right now! He says it's obvious none of them care about him or the fans, and seeing they only care about themselves and want to fight and act crazy, at the July SNS, which might be the last OVW show, we have War Games! He tells the announcer to explain what War Games is, then says there is only a few minutes left, so everybody just go back to acting crazy and beating the heck out of each other. (War Games will be a 15' high steel cage elimination match between two teams. One man in, one man out, only one team can survive!)

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

The Mexicutioner defeated "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stu Miles by pinfall after a spear.

Dapper Dan & Elvis Pridemoore defeated The Assassin & Dave-Lo after Elvis pinned Dave-Lo.

Special thanks to Nathan Karpinski & Scott Cannon for the details. As always, thanks for reading!
