Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
Dapper Dan Van Zandt (w/the Family Circus) defeats Wes Connor.
Dan hits Wes with a flurry of power moves in a squash. Dan hits a spinning sit-down powerbomb for the 3.
After the match, Dan locks in an ankle lock until the Assassin runs out. Dan & the Circus run from the ring, but as Assassin checks on Wes, they get back in and attack Assassin from behind. Dan hits a DDT and chokes Assassin with Ringmaster's whip.
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings)
and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
Gilbert Corsey & Timmy Danger are on commentary, and Shannon the Dude is the ring announcer.
We start off with a recap of Danny Davis announcing that Dean Hill was the new majority owner of OVW and that Dean would have a talk with Randy Royal.
Gilbert Corsey brings out the new OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "Walk on the Wylde Side": "Primetime" Robbie Walker & "Standout" Adam Wylde. Gilbert talks to Robbie first and Robbie says he waited on the side for 4 long months after being taken out by the War Machine and getting a concussion, and in less than 4 minutes, he came back and brought the tag titles back to where they belonged. Gilbert then turns to Wylde and says Wylde is in a weird situation, having entered the match with one partner and ending with another.
"The Chosen One" Mitch Huff comes out and says welcome back to Robbie. He also says thanks for standing in for him, but his name was on the contract, so the title should be his. Robbie says Huff was taken out and he is the rightful owner of the title. Wylde gets in between them as the War Machine comes out.
Josh Ashcraft says that Huff's name was on the contract, not Robbie's, so it should be considered null and void. They should hand the titles back to the War Machine.
Dean Hill comes out and says he has had a lot on his plate, the main thing being Randy Royal, who he will talk with later tonight. Now that this is going on, he will deal with it. He says he wants his refs to have some power. Since the ref acknowledged the tag, he was okay with Robbie becoming a part of the match. He tells Huff sorry, but they are grown men and can talk it out in the back. He then tells Josh to stop pointing his finger, he's not hailing a cab. He says since they are causing crap, Walker, Wylde, & Huff can deal with the crap, because he also believes in listening to what the fans want. The fans want less talk and more action, so we are going to have a 6-man tag right now!
"The War Machine": Big Jon, Eric Locker, & Trevor Steele (w/Josh Ashcraft) defeats "The Chosen One" Mitch Huff & OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "Walk on the Wylde Side": "The Standout" Adam Wylde & "Primetime" Robbie Walker.
Huff, Wylde, & Walker are on a roll to start the match with super kicks flying and Wylde diving out on them. The match goes back and forth and all 6 men end up fighting in and out of the ring. Huff is fighting with Locker, and Robbie sets up for a super kick. Locker ducks and Robbie accidentally kicks Huff. Locker hits a t-bone on Robbie and gets the pin on Huff.
We see Jessie Belle telling Randy Royal that Dean Hill has it out for him. Randy says he's not worried about that old man, he'll handle it, and she should worry about her stuff. She walks in to the women's locker room and tells Ray Lyn that she will take her out tonight and won't beat her like that bimbo Rebel did last week. Rebel comes in and asks her if that's right. Ray Lyn says they should have a 3-way, and Jessie Belle says it's called a triple threat. Rebel says she'll see them out there and Ray Lyn follows her out as Jessie Belle shakes her head.
We see Rump Thump approach Eddie Diamond and ask for another shot tonight. He knows they go way back and Eddie put him up for a few months and knows how hard he's worked. Eddie knows how hungry he is and accepts, but says he will treat Rump no different, and make him tap out.
Jessie Belle defeats Rebel & Ray Lyn.
Ray Lyn gets tossed from the ring as Rebel fights Jessie Belle. Rebel does the splits across the top ropes in the corner and tries to roll Jessie Belle up, but Jessie holds on and grabs the ropes for leverage to steal the 3.
We see a video of Dapper Dan Van Zandt saying that it's showtime, and the circus comes to town in 7 days.
We see a video of Jade Dawson telling Rev. Stu Miles that he tried to blind him, but he beat him outside the arena, inside the ring, and this isn't over.
Rev. Stuart Miles comes to the ring, and is a lot more reserved than usual. He says hello...everyone (instead of sinners). He says for the last few years he has came out and talked and talked and talked, preaching a good word, but he has the real good word tonight: forgiveness. He knows a lot of people won't believe him, but he has changed and wants forgiveness from the OVW fans, and especially Jade Dawson. He understands that a lot of people might be skeptical, but watch him change.
We see Randy Royal talking to Vic the Bruiser outside. He says all he wants Vic to do is scout and they'll have their revenge.
OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Rump Thump vs. Eddie Diamond (c).
There is a lot of quick back and forth chain wrestling, but the match is interrupted early by Chris Silvio. He hits Rump and Eddie both with a chair and then goes to the back and brings out a ladder. Silvio tries to powerbomb Eddie into the ladder as he did last week, but Eddie reverses and catapults Silvio into the ladder. Eddie throws the ladder outside, where Silvio fell to the floor. He puts Silvio across the announce desk and sets the ladder up.
Eddie goes up the ladder, but Silvio gets up and runs off.
We see a video recap of the interaction between "The Pope" Elijah Burke and Marcus Anthony from last week.
Bostic fires away and takes control. Randy comes back and tries to superplex Dylan off the top rope, but Dylan knocks him off and hits a missile dropkick. Randy catches Dylan and goes for a pedigree, but Dylan reverses, and ends up hitting the backstabber for the 3!
WINNER and NEW OVW TELEVISION CHAMPION: BOSTIC by pinfall.
This ended the TV taping.
Post-Show Dark Matches:
Stu comes out in street clothes and says he was supposed to fight Revolver, but right now his main concern is finding Jade to apologize. Revolver makes fun of religion, and Stu says again that he is just looking for Jade. As he turns to leave, Revolver ambushes him from behind. Revolver controls most of the match, hitting a russian leg sweep, and locking in the sleeper, but he can't put Stu away. Stu fires back and goes for the "Be Healed" slaps in the corner. Revolver slides out of the ring and grabs a chair. Stu kicks him as he enters the ring and Revolver drops the chair. Stu picks it up, but decides not to use it. Revolver comes up behind him and low blows him for the DQ.
As always, thanks for reading!

It would have been nice if the show at E-town Saturday had been mentioned, especially since TPT and Bill Dundee were scheduled to appear. I guess OVW was too busy with their RR hatefest. I know Dean is still fitting into the position, but the fans need to know these things. And he needs to get Shannon the Dude a new chair.
ReplyDeleteWhile were on the subject, the fans could use some chairs that haven't been used for head bashing practice. LOL. And what happened to Ryan Howe? We need our Rock Star
ReplyDeleteWait a minute, another womens match, one straight after the one from last week? Wha-what's going on? I though OVW hated womens wrestling!
ReplyDeleteWell we'll see how long this will last
So yeah... last week's episode still isn't available does that mean this one won't be available yet either when it's supposed to? This new regime needs work.
ReplyDeleteBoth well that episode, as well as this very episode, have both been added to their website. Now if only they could update their roster page with current stars and update those that are incorrect (Jessie Belle is nowhere near 6 foot, Jesus).
ReplyDeleteI agree, they seriously need to update the roster page. Some of them have been gone for some time. Josh Ashcraft is still listed as a referee. If Jessie Belle is 6', how does a 5'10" Randy Royal stand taller than her?
DeleteTrue.
DeleteJessie Belle might be six feet; she looked as tall as Randy. By the way, how tall is Dean Hill? He towers over Randy, and he's 5'10"?
