Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
That
concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
Gilbert Corsey, Ron Hed, & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, and Torey Payne is the ring announcer.
After the match, Tony Gunn comes out. He says he thought about why he didn't shake Dwight's hand at the Special. He was frustrated. He was frustrated that he has been back for 3 months and worked hard to get some gold. He was frustrated he got so far, only to miss out on winning in the final. He shakes his hand and hopes to face Dwight again in E-Town for the belt. Dwight says the fans will decide on his opponent, but he can guarantee 2 things: he will walk out with the TV Title, and they will party.
Dean Hill comes out and says congratulations, but he had to use a lead pipe. He says Big Jon won't be cleared before the June SNS, but he has put a call out to the world to find a worthy opponent for Rocco, and one the OVW fans can look up to. Rocco says he plays second string to no one, and this is his world.
Trevor Steele defeats Dapper Dan Van Zandt (w/OVW Women's Champion Scarlet, Ringmaster, & Damion) by DQ. Dan attacks Steele. He goes after the leg, but Steele comes back with a big boot. Ringmaster grabs Steele's foot and Steele chases him. Dan attacks Steele as re-enters the ring. He hits a spinebuster and locks in a half Boston crab. Steele fights out and catches Dan with a side slam. He locks in the chicken wing, but Ringmaster comes in and hits him with a chair. It only angers Steele. He is taking it to Ringmaster & Damion as Dan sprays a rag again like he did at SNS. He tries to attack STeele from behind, but Steele flips him over and puts the rag to to Damion and makes him pass out. Steele wants all 3 of them next week.
Big Jon comes out and says he has not been cleared by doctors. He has some hemorrhaging and bruising. He has been following Rocco, to see how the monster beat him. He has followed him to his house, the grocery store, the gym, and he might not be cleared in the ring, but will find Rocco somewhere and put his head through the first hard matter he can find.
He is interrupted by Justin Smooth who says he has came to take Jon out. Jon says his ribs are hurting, but tell him again, because that was funny. Smooth says that's not a guarantee, that's a promise!
OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "The Bad Boys Club": "The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal & "Bad Boy" Shane Andrews (w/Jessie Belle) defeat "Top Flight": Mickey Muscles & Brother Reed. Muscles gets a hot tag and is cleaning house with dropkicks and a hurricanrana. Reed comes back in, but Royal throws him to the outside. Royal grabs Muscles and hits the Samoan drop, and Shane hits the frog splash for the 3.
This ended the TV taping.
Post-Show Dark Matches:
OVW Heavyweight Champion Rocco Bellagio & "Primetime" Robbie Walker defeat"The Tag Buddies": Adam Revolver & Rev. Stu Miles after Rocco hits a Plunge to Revolver, and after Stu tries to heal Rocco, Rocco catches him off the second rope and Plunges him for the 3.
As always, thanks for reading!
Justin Smooth seems familiar...
ReplyDeleteTrevor Steele should get a shot at Rocco. Why is Dean calling around for a contender instead of giving shots to the talent he has?
ReplyDeleteHope Big Jon gets well soon; he was phenomenal at Run For The Ropes 2! He is a TRUE CHAMP who deserves that Title Belt AGAIN!

ReplyDeleteA womens match, an actual womens match in OVW? Nice... expect for the fact that it's a dark match, and doesn't involve the new champion in any way... God damn it OVW. 1 Step forward, and 4 steps back.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that OVW is so concerned about it's "new talent" that they are ignoring their established talent.
