OVW Results 12-27-17

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, December 27, 2017. This is the last show of 2017, as this week's television will be a "best of 2017" episode. That episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. On tonight's show, #1 contender Houdini teams with Logan James against OVW Heavyweight Champion Michael Hayes & OVW Television Champion Randall Floyd, plus more!

KC is the ring announcer.

Kevin Giza defeats Amon. Amon shoves Giza down. Giza catches him with a dropkick and a 619. Giza then plays a chasing game, but Amon finally catches him and throws him head first into the ringpost. He hits him against the barricade and chops him. Back inside, Amon slams Giza and chokes him in the ropes. He hits a long standing vertical suplex for 2. Giza slides off his shoulders, but runs into a huge clothesline for 2. Giza back with an enziguri, kicks, and a leg lariat. The Void runs out to attack Giza and cause a DQ.

Giza is saved by Lukas Gibson, and they double superkick Amon out of the ring.

"The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson defeats Colton Cage (w/Dustin Jackson). A quick paced opening, but Dustin interferes and Colton low blows Sam for the DQ. KTD runs out and says to make this a tag match.

"The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson defeat "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson & "Livewire" KTD. Sam takes the majority of the beatings during this match, getting an el-bro and a "B-R-O" beating in the corner. Dustin hits him with a running powerslam for 2, but Sam slides out of a second one and DDT's him. He tags KTD, and KTD fires away on them both. He flies out on both Bro Godz, then Sam dives out on the 3 of them. As they get up, Colton rams Sam into the post, then gets in and delivers the Snapshot with Dustin onto KTD for the 3.

Dapper Dan defeats Andrew Thomas (w/Josh Ashcraft). Josh says he sees potential in Thomas, and wants him to show what he's got tonight against Dan. He goes after Dan, but Dan shoves him off and quickly hits the Death Valley Driver for the 3. After the match, Dan grabs a mic and says he wants Josh at the SNS. Josh says he will accept on one condition, he beats his hand-picked opponent. Ca$h Flo comes through the curtain. Josh says next week, Dan says now. They accept for now...

Dapper Dan defeats Ca$h Flo (w/Josh Ashcraft & Andrew Thomas). Dan has the early advantage until Thomas moves Ca$h out of the way. Ca$h gets in a backdrop and some chops. Dan comes back after Ca$h accidentally knocks Thomas off the apron. Dan rolls Ca$h up for the 3. At SNS, Dan says it will be a street fight, no Ca$h Flo, just him & Josh.

8-MAN TAG MATCH: SK Eveslage, Apollo, & "The Void": Chace Destiny & Damion defeat Billy O, William Lutz, Nigel Winters, & Dre Blitz. Nigel, Blitz, Lutz, & Billy take SK and then Apollo down, but Nigel tags himself back in. He ends up getting the stuffing beat out of him for a while until finally making a hot tag to Billy. Billy takes Damion down and goes for the high knee when everyone gets in and things break loose. Billy does get the high knee on Damion, then tags Lutz. Lutz hits the moonsault, but Apollo breaks the pin, then Chace sneaks in and hits him with a faceplant for the 3.

David Lee Lorenze III (w/Jaylee, Torey Payne, Camera Guy, & "The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage) defeats The Blue Chipper. DL3 says he watched the Rocky movies over Christmas and that's why he is feeling like a boxing match tonight. He has Jaylee as the ring girl, the Bro Godz and the Camera Guy as his corner men. He wears boxing gloves, but gets taken down by Chipper. Camera Guy also gets taken down. The Bros cause a distraction though, and DL3 uses the camera to blast Chipper from behind in the head. He gets up before the 10 and yells out to Adrian that he did it!

OVW WOMEN's TITLE 5-PACK CHALLENGE: Jaylee (w/David Lee Lorenze III, Camera Guy, & "The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage)defeats "Bad Girl" Jessie Belle, Torey Payne, Cali, & Meg. A lot of action to call. Torey, Cali, then Jessie are eliminated. Meg is left with Jaylee and hits her with an inverted tombstone. DL3 and the Bros cause a distraction, and Dustin gives Jaylee the title belt. Meg turns into a shot from the head and gets the 3.

Houdini & "The River City Dragon" Logan James defeats OVW Heavyweight Champion Michael Hayes & OVW Television Champion "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd. Houdini takes the punishment from Hayes & Randall early. Houdini gets a tag, but Randall had the ref distracted. Houdini tries some quick roll-ups, but still eats more punishment. He finally gets the hot tag and LJ comes in firing away. LJ & Randall clothesline each other and go down. LJ tags Houdini, who flies onto Randall. Randall catches him, but LJ dropkicks Houdini on top of him. LJ & Randall fight out and Houdini hits Hayes with a stunner. He goes for the pin, but Randall hits him from behind with the title for a DQ. After the match, all 4 men continue fighting, but it ends with Hayes choking Houdini out with the mandible claw, and Randall locking LJ in the modified Boston crab.
