Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
Billy is temporarily distracted, but still dropkicks SK, plows him down with another shoulder block, hits a hip toss, then another dropkick. SK rakes Billy in the eyes and throws him out of the ring near Amon & the Void. Billy gets up ready to fight the Void & Amon, but SK clocks him from behind. He rolls Billy back in and misses a charge in the corner. Billy hits a big clothesline, followed by a spinebuster. He hits the high knee in the corner and gets the 3.
"The Varsity Babes": Meg & Cali defeat Valerie Vermin & Jaylee (w/DL3). Meg with the size and power advantage against Val early. Cali tags in and works Val over until she tags out to Jaylee. Jaylee charges in, but Cali arm drags her down. She clotheslines her twice, but then Val knees her in the back off the ropes. Jaylee hits her from behind and Val tags in and kicks her in the back. Jaylee tags back in, and her & Cali double clothesline each other. Both tag, and Meg clotheslines Val and side slams her. She delivers a big powerslam, then boots Jaylee down. Val slides off Meg's shoulders and goes for a tag, but Jaylee leaves her. Val turns around and gets a big spear from Meg for the 3.
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 9PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html.
Dr. Ted McNaler & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Brittany is the ring announcer.
After the match, Amon & the Void show up. Amon instructs his group to go after Alo. As they get in the ring, Chace Destiny & Nigel attack Alo, but Houdini bumps into Floyd. Floyd doesn't take kindly to it, and hits Houdini with a cutter. He then helps Alo fight off Nigel & Chace. The Void retreats and Alo looks for a handshake. Floyd doesn't shake hands, but nods his head and rolls out of the ring.
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The River City Dragon" Logan James (c) defeats "Livewire" KTD. LJ keeps shouting out that he's the man. A lot of fast-paced action to start. LJ hits KTD with a huge back body drop. He misses a kick to the head and KTD hits him with a roundhouse kick. He delivers an inverted atomic drop, a regular atomic drop, then LJ flips over KTD. KTD runs into a boot, then LJ runs into a back elbow. KTD jumps out of the corner into a super kick. LJ goes up and hits a picture perfect knee to the head. He has KTD pinned, but pulls him up at 2. He locks in a submission instead and KTD is forced to tap.
After the match, Gilbert Corsey talks to LJ. He asks about his action of late. LJ says he will do anything it takes to keep his TV Title. Billy O comes out and gets in his face and they argue about Billy helping LJ, but LJ not returning the favor.
Dr. Ted McNaler is in the ring for his latest edition of the Wrestling Clinic. He has blockbuster news. #1, it was a wig that he was wearing. #2, the scoop on next week's final qualifying match is Zo vs. Adam Revolver and we know who will win that one. #3, it's his privilege to introduce the new OVW Southern Tag Team Champions Cardinal & DL3! Cardinal comes out and says he is tag team champions with DL3, but he's not his partner. He wanted to win, and they did, but it's a thorn in his side. Cardinal says all DL3 has to do is sit his butt in the corner and let him take care of things. DL3 comes out with the Entourage. DL3 says he got the pin and is the first ever individual Southern Tag Team Champions. They are interrupted by Shiloh Jonze & the Top Guys. Shiloh says as a good favor to Adam Slade, him & Kevin Giza are going to team up tonight and challenge for the titles. DL3 says no, he's not contractually obligated for 30 days. He carried the whole thing last week. Cardinal interrupts and says "sure"...
After the match, Shiloh challenges Slade to a match at the April SNS...as long as HIS friend Giza can ref. Slade accepts.
Tony Gunn sneaks out from behind, grabs the chair, and cracks Dan from behind while the ref is trying to separate Amon & Hayes. Gunn rolls Dan in and Amon gets in for the pin, but Dan kicks out at 2. Amon connects with a pedigree and gets the 3.
Post-Show Dark Matches:
"The Winter Swoldier" Adam Slade defeats Chace Destiny (w/Amon, Nigel, & Houdini). A back and forth opening. Chace takes control and works over Slade for a bit. Slade starts to come back, but gets tripped up by Houdini. Chace again has control, until Slade starts to fire back. Amon, Nigel, & Houdini get on the apron. Chace kicks Slade from behind, but then gets caught with Slade's finisher for the 3.
As always, thanks for reading!
