OVW March 2018 SNS Results

This is the OVW Report for the March 3, 2018 Saturday Night Special!

Tonight:

-LJ defends the OVW TV Title against Randall Floyd in the steel cage!

-Randy Royal defends the OVW Heavyweight Title against Chris Silvio!

-The Bro Godz defend the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles against the Top Guys!

-Torey Payne tries to win the OVW Women's Title against Jaylee once again in a lumberjack and jill match!

-Plus more!

Your announcers for tonight are Josh Ashcraft & Gilbert Corsey, and Brittany is ring announcer.

OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: "The Top Guys": Kevin Giza & "The Winter Swoldier" Adam Slade vs. "Bro God" Dustin Jackson & Dimes (w/DL3 & Jaylee) (c).

DL3 says Colton Cage's flight got delayed from Hollywood, but any member of his team can fight, so Dimes will fill in for Colton. The match starts off with Giza & Slade in control and taking it to Dustin. Slade hits an inverted hip toss and drop toehold, then Giza hits a 619 and a flying body press. Shiloh Jonze comes out to watch. Dustin comes back and works over Giza, and him & Dimes double team him in the corner. Giza gets free to tag Slade, and he uppercuts them both. DL3 helps Dimes up after he gets knocked to the outside, but then Giza goes flying out on him. Shiloh tries to help by throwing a chair in the ring, but Slade refuses to use it. Dustin hits Slade in the corner and charges him, but Slade jumps over him to roll him up. Dustin is still holding onto the corner, but Shiloh hits Dustin with a chain while the ref is still distracted and Slade gets the 3!

WINNERS and NEW OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: TOP GUYS.

8-MAN TAG MATCH: Amon & "The Void": Chace Destiny, Nigel, & Houdini vs. Dapper Dan, Ryan Howe, BGB, & Lukas Gibson.

Amon & the Void attack the other 4 and then focus on Lukas. He gets worked over for a bit until he tags BGB. BGB then gets worked over in the corner for a while as Howe tries stomping the apron and chanting "rock & roll" to get the crowd behind BGB. Off the ropes, Chace collides with BGB, and BGB gets the hot tag to Howe. Howe hits him and connects with an inverted atomic drop. He slams him and hits the rock & roll fist drop. He hits a DDT, but Amon stops the 3 count. Howe dropkicks him out of the ring, then hits Houdini & Nigel. Amon grabs the chain and hits Dan, Lukas, & BGB on the outside. He goes after Howe, but Howe ducks and DDT's him on it. He hits a running knee to the face of Chace for the 3.

WINNERS: HOWE, DAPPER, LUKAS, & BGB by pinfall.

After the match, the Void attacks Howe and Amon chokes Howe with the chain.

The Void brings a casket into the ring to put Howe in, but Dan is back up with the kendo stick and takes out Amon & the Void. Him & Howe clothesline Amon with the kendo stick and they stand tall with Lukas & BGB.

DL3 (w/Jaylee) vs. Scott Cardinal.

DL3 tries to talk Cardinal down, but Cardinal goes right after him. He hits him hard with some big chops across the chest, then clotheslines him out. He follows him to the outside and hits him around the ring. He throws DL3 across the announce table and DL3 crashes into the wall behind it. Cardinal goes to hit him, but DL3 moves and Cardinal hurts his hand. DL3 gets in and dropkicks Cardinal into the corner, then hits the corner clothesline. Off the ropes, Cardinal goes to grab him for the spinebuster, but his hand is still hurting. DL3 goes for another corner clothesline, but Cardinal catches him and slams him. He hits his finisher for the 3.

WINNER: CARDINAL by pinfall.

10-MAN ANARCHY BATTLE ROYAL: Apollo "Showtime" Garvin, Billy O, Dre Blitz, Flex, SK Eveslage, Ashton Cole, William Lutz, "Livewire" KTD, OTM, & The Blue Chipper.

OTM is eliminated, then Blitz, then Billy O dropkicks Cole out of the ring. Billy O boots Chipper out. SK takes Flex out. Apollo tosses KTD. Billy tries to take Apollo off the apron, but Apollo pulls the rope down, and Billy flies to the floor. Lutz hits SK off the turnbuckles from the apron, and SK falls off. It's down to Apollo & Lutz, and now it's anarchy rules.

Apollo grabs the hardware and splashes Lutz with a trash can across the chest. He grabs a whip and hits Lutz across the back, then chokes him with it. He goes to sit on him, but Lutz puts his knees up below the belt. Lutz hits him with the trash can across the back, but Apollo hits him below the belt. He grabs a wood club and hits Lutz, but Lutz comes back with a high knee to the face. He then connects with a top rope moonsault for the 3.

WINNER: LUTZ by pinfall.

"The Elite": Adam Revolver & Ted McNaler vs. "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson & Big Zo.

Sam goes to throw his shirt to the crowd, but Ted grabs it and throws it on the floor. Sam goes out and gets it, then gives it to Brittany! Ted goes out and takes it off of her and throws it in the trash can. Adam hits Sam from behind, sending him crashing to the floor from the top rope. Ted hits him and then he & Adam work him over for a bit. Sam gets the hot tag to Zo, and Zo takes the Elite both down. He slams them both, then Zo trains both of them in opposite corners. He gives them a meeting of the minds and then has Ted up, but Adam takes out the leg. They go for a double suplex, but Zo reverses and suplexes both of them. Zo goes for a Zo bomb on Ted, but Adam pulls him out. They try to regroup on the outside, but Sam soars out on them. Back inside, Sam goes up top, but Adam gets in the way. Zo takes him out with a spinning kick. Ted then hits the ropes to knock Sam down and gets a quick 3 with his feet on the ropes.

WINNERS: THE ELITE.

OVW WOMEN'S TITLE LUMBERJACK and JILL MATCH: Torey Payne vs. Jaylee (w/DL3, Dustin Jackson, & Dimes) (c).

The lumberjacks and jills are Jessie Belle, Meg, Cali, Billy O, Blue Chipper, SK Eveslage, BGB, Lukas Gibson, Apollo, Dre Blitz, OTM, Dustin, DL3, & Dimes. Jaylee goes out early, and Jessie pushes her back in the ring. Torey gets thrown out, but Jessie allows her to get back in on her own. Torey is in control, working Jaylee over with a side headlock. She takes her down, and goes after her in the corner, but Jaylee throws her into the turnbuckle. She stomps her and throws her out. Meg & Cali allow Torey to get back in on her own as well. Jaylee hits her into the turnbuckle and throws her into the opposite corner. Torey throws Jaylee out, and Meg, Cali, & Jessie throw her back in. Torey clotheslines her, but Jaylee regains control. Jaylee charges her, but Torey ducks and spears her. Jaylee rolls out, and Torey follows her. They fight on the outside. Jaylee is rolled back in. Torey goes for a sunset flip from the apron. Jaylee stays up and Dustin holds her hands for the 3.

WINNER and STILL OVW WOMEN'S CHAMPION: JAYLEE.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: "The Psychadelic Superstar" Chris Silvio vs. "The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal (c).

The KBWA commissioner comes out before this match starts, and says this match can't start because there are 2 grievances. One, Michael Hayes shouldn't have been fired on the grounds he was. Second, Jessie Belle is not allowed at ringside. Dean Hill has no choice, but to make this a triple threat match...

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE ELIMINATION MATCH: "The Psychadelic Superstar" Chris Silvio vs. Michael Hayes vs. "The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal (c).

Randy goes right after Hayes firing away. Silvio pulls him off, but Randy fires away on him. Randy gets the upperhand, knocking Silvio out of the ring, and hitting a kneebuster to the face of Hayes. He has Hayes hung up in the ropes and goes up top for the double foot stomp across the back for 2. Randy gets shoved out of the ring, and Silvio shoulders his way in on Hayes. He charges Hayes, but Hayes flips him over the top rope onto Randy on the floor. Hayes comes out and hits Silvio, but Silvio hits him into the barricade. He goes for a hurricanrana, but Hayes powerbombs him on the apron. Randy hits him, but Hayes hits him into the barricade. Hayes grabs a chair, but Randy hits him onto the seated chair and then cannonballs on him. He rolls Hayes in, then locks in a reverse armbreaker. Hayes gets to the ropes. Silvio goes up and hits Randy with a missile dropkick. Randy kicks out at 2. Silvio goes up, but Hayes hits the ropes to knock him down. Randy hits Hayes then goes up to superplex Silvio. Hayes gets under them both for a powerbomb/superplex combo. He tries to pin them both, but both kick out at 2. Randy takes Hayes down, but Silvio comes off the top with an elbow drop on Randy for the 3! Randy is eliminated, meaning there WILL be a new champion. Silvio hits the cutter off the top rope, but Hayes kicks out at 2. He locks in the mandible claw, but Silvio headbutts out. He runs at Hayes, but Hayes slams him. As they go to the mat, Silvio locks in an armbreaker. Hayes gets the mandible claw locked back in, and Silvio tries to get to the ropes, but passes out. The ref counts the 3.

WINNER and NEW OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: HAYES by pinfall.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE STEEL CAGE MATCH: "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd vs. "The River City Dragon" Logan James (c).

They lock up and Randall locks in a side headlock. LJ reverses. Randall gets out and locks an armbar. LJ flips out and reverses it. Randall flips out and reverses it back. LJ gets out and tries to slam Randall into the cage, but he blocks it. Randall tries to throw LJ into it, but he tries to scale the cage. Randall pulls him down and hits him. He tries to lock in the modified Boston crab, but instead, slingshots LJ into the cage. Off the ropes, LJ holds on, and Randall charges. LJ moves and dropkicks him. He throws him in the corner, and Randall tries to climb out. He pulls him down across the top turnbuckle and kicks him in the back of the head. He hits a coup de grace off the cage for 2.

LJ runs into a clothesline, then Randall throws LJ into the cage for 2. He elbows him across the back of the head. Randall throws him hard into the corner, but misses a charge. LJ back body drops him. LJ goes after Randall, but Randall back body drops him into the cage. Randall slingshots him again, but LJ scales the cage. Randall tries to grab him off, but LJ hits a hurricanrana. Randall catches him and slams him into the cage and then hits a spinebuster for 2. Randall chokes him against the cage. They exchange blows, and LJ fires back with some big forearms. LJ jumps off the ropes, then the cage, and hits a roundhouse DDT for 2 as Randall kicks out! LJ hits a suplex then climbs the cage.

He hits a moonsault from halfway up the cage onto Floyd. They exchange blows again. Randall goes for the Deal Breaker, but LJ slides off. LJ goes for the gut check, but Randall slides off and clubs him in the back of the head. He stomps his head into the cage, throws him into the cage, then hits a big vertical suplex for 2. Randall hits a fall away slam into the cage. He hits the Deal Breaker slam, then tells the ref to open the cage. Randall is about to escape, but LJ gets up and calls him to come back. Randall goes after him, but LJ locks him in the STF. Randall gets to the ropes and climbs through to break it.

He hits LJ and rakes his face across the cage. He charges him, but LJ moves, and Randall crashes into the cage. LJ throws him into the cage several times. He hits the Gut Check, then points to the top of the cage.

He goes up, but Randall follows him and tries to superplex him. LJ headbutts him all the way down to the mat! Randall tries to crawl out, so LJ climbs around the side and kicks the door into Randall's face.

He climbs down to the steps and slams the door in Randall's face several more times, then touches the floor for the win!

WINNER and STILL OVW TELEVISION CHAMPION: LJ by cage escape.

After the match, LJ slams the cage door in his face one more time for good measure.
