This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, September 19, 2018. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at OVW TV. In this episode, Randall Floyd faces Tony Gunn in a "No Ropes" match, the Bro Godz have a cele-BRO-tion after winning back the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles, Gilbert Corsey makes a big announcement about OVW 1000, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

OVW Anarchy Champion "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson & "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth defeat "The Man" Dapper Dan & OVW Television Champion "The Leading Man" Billy O, "The Star of the Show". Billy locks up with Sam into the corner, then Dan tags in and hits him in the ribs. Billy tags back in and clubs him, then Dan is back in and they deliver a double back elbow. Sam tries to fire back, but Dan clubs him to the mat and tags Billy. Billy with a big slam for 2. Dan tags in and kicks Sam in the face. Dan with a big slam, and a dapper leg drop for 2 as Smooth pulls Dan off the pin. Billy gets in and kicks Sam as the ref gets Smooth back in his corner. Dan knees and kicks Sam in the corner and delivers a big suplex. Sam crawls through Dan's legs and gets the hot tag. Smooth runs through Billy & Dan. He hits Dan with a spinebuster, and Billy with a DDT for 2 as Dan breaks the pin. Sam gets back in and hits Dan in one corner as Smooth hits Billy in the other. They ram Dan & Billy into each other, then Sam hits Dan with a Duck Call as Smooth hits the bicycle kick on Billy to get the 3.

Big Zo defeats Drew Hernandez. Zo & Drew exchange headlocks and armbars. Off the ropes, Zo shoulder blocks him down. They lock back up into the corner and then into 2 others. Drew charges into a hip toss and Zo drops a splash. Zo charges in with the Zo train, then locks in a bearhug. He hits a cannonball on Drew in the corner, then hits a cartwheel splash to get the 3.

"King's Ransom": Maximus & Leonis Khan defeats "The Void": Nigel Winters & Houdini (w/Chace Destiny). Nigel is taken down quickly, then Houdini comes in and is driven into the corner. Houdini is driven to the mat with a leaping clothesline. He bites the head of one of the Khans, but is quickly taken down again. Nigel is tagged back in and is hit with a jumping spinning clothesline. The Khans then hit a huge double spinebuster, driving Nigel into the mat for the 3!

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 9PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at OVW TV.

Gilbert Corsey, Shannon the Dude, & Ted McNaler are on commentary, and Brittany & Mercy are the ring announcers.

Shiloh Jonze comes out with DL3 & Big D and continues to rap and say he is the best MC in the game. A guy in the crowd calls him out and it's Open Mike Eagle. They have an impromptu rap battle and Shiloh says he doesn't need this, he's a wrestler. He's going top prove what he does best in the ring right now!
"Livewire" KTD defeats Shiloh Jonze (w/DL3 & Big D). Shiloh attacks KTD and hits him down. He chops him and does a Shiloh-roonie. Open Mike says you've heard of Machine Gun Kelly, this is "BB Gun Shiloh". The distraction allows KTD to get a roll-up from behind for the 3!
After the match, Shiloh tries to go after Mike and the locker room empties to keep them separated!

"The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson come out for a cele-BRO-tion of winning the Southern Tag Team Titles and a special fan's birthday.
They pass out party favors and hats and give the kid a cake. They start singing happy birthday when Jax Dane comes out.
He tells the kid that part of turning 16 and becoming a man is learning about disappointments. He takes the cake and smashes it in Colton's face. Dustin has another cake and smashes it in Jax's face. Jax hits Dustin with his finisher and kicks Colton on his way out.

Shiloh Jonze is back out and wants Open Mike Eagle in the ring in a match. Mike says he flew all the way from Los Angeles to beat him with his rhymes, but if he wants a match, he is not ready tonight. He will fly back down from L.A. to episode 1000 and see him there!

OVW Women's Champion Jaylee (w/Cali) defeats Meg Monroe. Meg takes it to Jaylee early and hits the Samoan drop, but Cali distracts the ref. Jaylee attacks her from behind and has the upperhand, but Meg comes back again. She goes after Cali again and Jaylee rolls her up from behind and puts her feet on the ropes for leverage to get the 3!

Gilbert Corsey makes a special announcement about OVW 1000. He says there will be a first ever "TOC" match, meaning "Team of Champions". He says there will be two teams made up of former OVW Heavyweight Champions. The first team's captain is here now...the longest reigning OVW Champion in history, Rocco Bellagio! Rocco says it has been a tough year losing his best friend Matt Cappotelli. He says he was last here last September for the benefit show and Matt was the reason he came back in 2015 and became the longest reigning champion of all time. When OVW called and asked him to be a captain, he had no hesitation. Gilbert asks about possible partners, when Nova comes out.
Nova says he remembers 3 important dates. The day his daughter was born, the day his dad passed, and the day he left this hell-hole. He says he helped put this thing together and he is the captain of the opposing team. He says Rocco is good, but he is better. He also knows just as many people as Rocco and they all like him better than Rocco.

NO ROPES MATCH: "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd defeats "Shotgun" Tony Gunn. Floyd charges Gunn and falls out of the ring for his first "ring out". 3 ring outs and you lose. You can also score falls by pin or submission. Floyd comes back and takes control, but Gunn slides out onto the steps. As Floyd goes to grab him, Gunn pulls him into the ringpost and Floyd falls out for his second ring out. Gunn tries to knock Floyd out a third time, but Floyd lands on the barricade and stays alive. He knocks Gunn out for his first ring out and then later gets a STF locked in. Gunn slides out for his second ring out. He tries to pull Floyd out, but Floyd kicks him off. Gunn locks in a submission, but Floyd reverses it into the Deal Breaker for 2. They exchange chops and Gunn goes for the reverse DDT. Floyd rolls him up for 2. Gunn drops him for the sharpshooter. He turns it over, but Floyd rolls it over and gets the 3!

This ended the TV taping.

DARK MATCH: Crazzy Steve & Amon (w/"The Void": Chace Destiny, Nigel Winters, & Houdini) defeats Eddie Knight & Dimes. Amon takes Eddie down and Steve tags in. He hits Eddie in the corner and chokes him. He hits a hard shot off the ropes. Amon tags back in and works him over, until Eddie dives over a clothesline and hot tags Dimes. Dimes sweeps the leg of Amon and elbows him. He goes for a springboard back elbow, but Amon catches him and takes him down. Dimes hits a chinbuster, then connects with the springboard back elbow for 2. The Void attacks Eddie and Amon and Steve hit heir finisher to Dimes off the distraction for the 3.
