OVW TV 1006: Thankful for Zo

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, November 21, 2018. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at OVW TV. In this episode, Dapper Dan defends the OVW Television Title against Dustin Jackson, King's Ransom gets a rematch against William Lutz & Ashton Cove, plus more!

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Dimes defeats SK Eveslage. Dimes tries to lock up the arm, but SK wiggles out. SK off the ropes, runs into a dropkick from Dimes. Off the ropes again, Dimes shoulder blocks him down. He runs off the ropes, and SK goes for a dropkick, but Dimes stays on the ropes and SK misses. SK regains control and locks in a chinlock. He throws Dimes down hard, then connects with a USK elbow for 2. He tries another quick pin for 2. Dimes blocks being thrown into the turnbuckle and elbows SK. He fires back and hits a springboard elbow, then a hurricanrana into an STF for the tapout.

Cali Young (w/Valerie Vermin & OVW Women's Champion Jaylee) defeats Brittany Garcia. Brittany plays chase early, right into a trap. Val & Jaylee grab her legs and Cali is able to attack. Brittany fires back with clotheslines and a Samoan Driver, but Val hops on the apron. Jaylee gets in and hits Brittany with her finisher, and puts Cali on top. The ref turns around to count the 3.

"The Demon" Amon (w/"The Void": Chace Destiny, Houdini, & Nigel Winters) defeats "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson. Amon chops him hard off the ropes. Sam hits him and Amon just laughs. Sam hits him with a cross body off the ropes and pounds away. Amon shoves him off and Sam hits him with a chinbuster. He charges in the corner, but Amon moves. Amon charges and Sam kicks him in the head. He hits a flying body press off the top and pounds away again. He connects with the Duck Call, but the Void is on the apron. Sam hits them all off, but Amon recovers. He turns into an STH for the 1-2-3.

Gilbert Corsey, Shannon the Dude, & Dr. Ted McNaler are on commentary, and Mercy & Brittany are the ring announcers.

Gilbert Corsey is expecting to interview the winners of the Nightmare Cup, but gets Randall Floyd & Justin Smooth instead. They say they have let the Void get inside their heads a bit, but at Christmas Chaos, they will get the Void in handicap action inside the two cages. It will be them with Rocco Bellagio & Randy Royal against the Void, Amon, & Crazzy Steve! Tonight, they get their hands on the Void in 2-on-3 action!

He then gets to interview King's Ransom. Before they can speak on their win, they are interrupted by the Entourage. Shiloh & DL3 say they stole the Nightmare Cup and stole some other things on the way back from E-Town. King's Ransom goes after them and chases them out the side door. William Lutz & Ashton Cove are now out for a rematch from last week...

Ashton Cove & William Lutz defeat "King's Ransom": Maximus & Leonis Khan. Cove & Lutz think they are getting a countout win, but Maximus & Leonis return and bowl over them. DL3 & Shiloh sneak back in and distract them by grabbing their trophy. They chase them right out the door again, and Cove & Lutz do get the countout win.

Big Zo defeats Christian Hernandez. A little tae kwan Zo. Zo misses the cartwheel butt bump, and Hernandez tries to throw Zo, but Zo throws him and hits a cross body! He hits the cartwheel butt bump, then a cannonball in the corner. He finishes Christian off with a banzai drop for the 3.

After the match, Adam Revolver comes out and tells Shannon the Dude he embarrassed him last week. He chose Melvin Maximus, and he chose the loser side. He said to tell Melvin he will meet him in the ring next week and show him what a winner looks like and why Shannon picked the wrong person to side with.

Eddie Knight comes out and says he is not supposed to be out here, but wants to let Dapper Dan know that he tricked him, the fans, the boys in the back, and for what? A title? He says the next time he sees him, he is going to punch his teeth down his throat. He gets interrupted by the It Girls.

They say Eddie could be "it" material. He says they smell like they wiped from back to front. Cali says he smells from bottom to top.

Jessie Belle defeats Jaylee (w/Cali & Valerie Vermin). Jessie controls most of the match. The It Girls try to interfere and use the title, but Brittany & Mercy keep that from happening. Jessie hits the Belle Ringer on Jaylee for the 3.

"Shotgun" Tony Gunn defeats Drew Hernandez. They measure each other up, then Gunn blasts Drew in the head and knocks him out cold for the quick 3.

After the match, Shannon the Dude says he talked to Melvin Maximus and he will be here next week. He will bein Melvin's corner, and it will be marvelous!

OVW TELEVISION TITLE MATCH: Dustin Jackson defeats Dapper Dan (c). Dustin fires away and slams Dan. He is rolling right along when Dan starts faking a heart attack. The ref throws up an "X" and another ref and Dr. Ted McNaler come out to check on him, as does OVW Owner Al Snow. Eddie Knight comes out and says he's faking. They try to hold him back, but he goes out and grabs two chairs. He gets in and wraps Dan's hand in one and goes to hit it with the other. Dan jumps to his feet and asks what he is doing and to stay out of his business! He turns into a dropkick from Dustin and a roll-up for the 1-2-3!

"The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth & "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd defeat "The Void": Chace Destiny, Nigel Winters, & Houdini. Smooth & Floyd chase them and corner them at ringside. They hit them and work together very well. They throw Nigel up in mid-air and throw him down to the mat hard. The Void takes control in the corner against Floyd. Chace with a chinlock and a club to the chest. Nigel tags in and hits him. Houdini tags in and double teams him with Chace, as they kick his legs out and double boot him in the head. Chace works him over some more with help from Nigel & Houdini. Floyd works his way over for a tag, but Amon comes out and pulls Smooth off the apron. Zo runs out and clubs Amon from behind, then gets on the apron. Floyd gets the tag to Zo, and the ref allows it. Zo takes the Void out single-handedly, slamming them and powerbombing Chace for the 3.

This ended the TV taping.

DARK MATCH 10-MAN ELIMINATION TAG: "The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & OVW TV Champion Dustin Jackson, "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson, "Livewire" KTD, & Eddie Knight defeat Dapper Dan, SK Eveslage, & "The Entourage": Shiloh Jonze, DL3, & Big D. KTD knocks out DL3 for a 3. He has control over Big D for a bit, but ends up getting eliminated following a pin. Sam & Shiloh are in and Sam rolls him up for 2 as SK breaks the pin. Shiloh kicks him and Sam dropkicks Big D & Dapper, then Shiloh. Sam dives out onto Dan, Big D, and SK. Shiloh nails him with a rocket punch as he goes to get in and SK holds his foot. He gets the 3. Eddie & Dan end up in the ring and exchange blows. They fight to the outside and out the door and both get counted out. Shiloh takes down Colton and SK comes in and pounds on him, then runs into a clothesline as he goes for the USK elbow. He tags Dustin and they hit a double forearm shot, then spell out "BRO". Colton hits SK with the scissor kick and gets the 3. Big D attacks him and splashes him for 2. Shiloh tags in and hits a kidney shot. He delivers a snapmare and then stomps Colton and tags in Big D. Off the ropes, he misses the Blitz Kick and Colton rolls him up for the 3. Shiloh attacks Colton and slams him. He works him over, but Colton works his way up and hits the sideburn effect. Dustin tags himself in and hits the top rope splash for the 3.
