OVW TV 1007: Abyss Learns What Time It Is

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, November 28, 2018. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at OVW TV. In this episode, a captain's match between Randall Floyd & Crazzy Steve, Dustin Jackson defends the OVW TV TItle in a rematch against Dapper Dan, plus more!

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Void": Chace Destiny & Nigel Winters (w/Houdini) defeats Brandon Wolfe & Dimes. Quick offense from Dimes against Nigel. He monkey flips him and hits him with a sharp right. He tags Wolfe and they deliver a double dropkick. Nigel tags out to Chace. Wolfe locks him up and takes him down. He tags Dimes and delivers a moonsault off his back. Chace tags Nigel and Dimes delivers a hurricanrana into an STF. Houdini causes a distraction. Chace kicks Dimes off. Wolfe tags back in and is on fire, but Houdini interferes again. Wolfe kicks him off the apron, but jumps off into a kidney shot from Chace. He tags Nigel and they deliver their double team finisher (a backbreaker from Chace and a flying elbow from Nigel) to get the 3 as Dimes fights with Houdini on the outside.

Jessie Belle defeats Brittany Garcia. They lock up and Brittany powers her down in a test of strength, but Jessie flips her over. Some quick takedowns and pin attempts from each of them for 2 counts. Jessie goes for the "Oh Snap" suplex, but Brittany rolls her up in an inside cradle for 2. Jessie back with a rollup for 2. Brittany throws her to the corner and charges her. She snapmares her out and pins for 2. She splashes her in the corner and delivers a backbreaker. She then hits a suplex for 2. Brittany charges her, but Jessie moves and kicks her in the head. She takes her down with the "Oh Snap" suplex for a near 3. Off the ropes, Brittany misses a clothesline and Jessie takes her down with a reverse Russian leg sweep for the 3.

OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "The War Kings": Crimson & Jax Dane defeats Jaden Roller & Brandon Espinosa. Espy with some quick offense, but Crimson takes him down and tags Jax. Jax looks to hit him off the ropes, but Roller made a blind tag. Roller kicks Jax and talks about "pigtail power", but turns into a brutal clothesline from Jax. Jax & Crimson exchange hitting him with back elbows in the corner. They work over Roller for a bit until Roller pushes himself off of Crimson's shoulders and Crimson gets hit by Espy from the apron. Roller then hits a spinning clothesline. Both men tag out and Jax powers through Espy. Roller breaks up a pin, but Crimson throws him outside where Jax throws him into one of the steel supports. Back inside, they deliver the "Off With Their Heads" to Espy for the 3.

CAPTAIN'S MATCH (Winner gets advantage at Christmas Chaos): "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd (w/Justin Smooth, Rocco Bellagio, & Randy Royal) defeats Crazzy Steve (w/Amon & "The Void": Chace Destiny, Houdini, & Nigel Winters). An attack early from Steve, but Floyd fires right back. He hits Steve with a dropkick, then takes out the Void as they try to interfere. Floyd stomps the extremities, but Amon distracts him. Steve hits him from behind and throws him hard into the corner. Steve throws him to the outside. Amon & the Void creep up, but Smooth, Royal, & Rocco meet them and start to brawl with them. Steve rolls Floyd up as he enters the ring and has his feet on the ropes, but Rocco points it out. Steve throws Floyd shoulder first into the ringpost. He chokes Floyd and puts him in a submission, twisting his head backwards. Floyd fights out and Steve goes right back after him, clawing his back. He works over his leg, then throws him into the top turnbuckle. Floyd fires back with shots to the gut, but Steve throws him back to the corner and hits a spinning uppercut. He then delivers a cannonball for 2. Amon jumps on the apron, and Floyd flings Steve into him. He then delivers a huge back body drop to get the 3!

After the match, Floyd grabs a mic and says they are still a man short, but have found a partner. Before he can say who it is, the lights go out and Abyss' music hits.

When they come back on, Abyss is standing tall in the middle of the ring with Smooth, Royal, Floyd, & Rocco all down on the mat. He says it doesn't matter who their 5th man is, because his family will stand tall and destroy everyone in their path. He tells Shane Helms that he will show him what a real "hurricane" looks like on December 14th at Christmas Chaos.

Zo's music hits and he comes out and takes it to Abyss. He hits him with the cartwheel butt bump in the corner, then takes him down with a roundhouse kick! Zo grabs a mic and says in case you couldn't figure it out, he is the 5th man!

Leonis Khan defeats Shiloh Jonze (w/Big D & Dave Lo). Dave tries to distract him on the apron with the Nightmare Cup trophy, but he hears Shiloh coming and takes him down. He slings him across the ring twice, then chops him hard. He delivers a fallaway slam and then goes after Big D & Dave. Shiloh hits him from behind and hits him off the apron. He clubs him in the back and throws him off the ropes. Leonis comes back with a jumping clothesline and a spinebuster for the 3.

He goes after Dave & Big D again. He throws Big D into the steel steps, then Dave tries to sneak out the side door. Maximus Khan shows up and Dave is trapped in between them.

William Lutz & Ashton Cove sneak out behind them and whack them both in the back with steel chairs. Dave starts to walk away and Lutz whacks him in the back as well. Lutz & Cove then grab the trophy and hold it up, saying they win again!

"Shotgun" Tony Gunn defeats "The Vet" Apollo. Apollo attacks Gunn as he enters the ring. He runs off the ropes, but Gunn catches him with the knockout shot for the 3!

Jaylee comes out and asks Brittany & Mercy if the gift at ringside is a guilt gift after all the bullying they have done to her. She has a bat and calls it her "problem solver", because she is smart enough to know someone is in the box waiting to attack her. She clubs the box repeatedly with the bat and Valerie Vermin runs out telling her to stop. Someone in a Rudolph costume falls out and Jaylee continues hitting them. Valerie unmasks the person to reveal Cali! Jaylee is furious, saying that it's all Mercy & Brittany's fault.

"The Snake" Adam Revolver defeats "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (w/Shannon the Dude). Adam attacks Melvin, but Melvin hits him hard and takes him down. He goes for the bearhug, but Adam rolls out. He grabs a chair, but STD takes it away. Melvin flips him in, but Adam takes out the knee. He locks him in the Figure Four and STD keeps him from grabbing the ropes for leverage. Melvin fights out, but off the ropes, Adam kicks out the knee again. Adam goes for a pin, but has his feet on the ropes. STD shoves them off and tells the ref he's cheating. Adam locks the Figure Four in again and uses the ropes. Again, STD hits his hands off. Melvin fights out and Adam chops him. This only makes Melvin madder and Melvin hits him. He throws him hard in the corner and clotheslines him twice. He then hits a big clothesline and sets up for the bearhug. Adam pokes him in the eye and grabs a chair. STD gets in and Adam shoves him off. Melvin gets back up and clubs Adam down. Adam gets the ref's attention in the corner. STD grabs the chair and clubs Melvin from behind! Melvin turns around and grabs STD, but Adam sneaks up from behind. While the ref gets STD out, Adam low blows Melvin and rolls him up with a handful of tights for the 3!

OVW TELEVISION TITLE MATCH: Dapper Dan defeats Dustin Jackson (c) by DQ. Dan & Dustin exchange blows. Dustin gets hung up on the top rope and Dan hits a release German suplex for 2. Dan pounds him on the mat and pins for 2. Off the ropes, Dan hits a clothesline. Dustin fires back, but Dan catches him with a side slam off the ropes for 2. He locks in a submission, choking Dustin with his own arms. Dustin fires back again and hits a few clotheslines. Dan knees him in the gut, but runs into a beautiful dropkick from Dustin. He is about to go up top, but the War Kings come out and Crimson distracts the ref and Dustin. Jax sneaks in and hits Dustin with a Samoan drop. Dan covers for 2. Eddie Knight then runs out with a bandaged head and attacks Dan, causing a DQ.

After the match, the War Kings get in and hit Dustin with the "Off With Their Heads".

This ended the TV taping.

DARK MATCH: Dave Lo & Big D (w/Shiloh Jonze) defeat Matt Vine & "Livewire" KTD. Dave goes to kick Vine, but he catches Dave's foot and slings him down face first. Vine hits some nice dropkicks and a hip toss. Big D tags in and Shiloh distracts Vine, allowing D to hit Vine from behind. KTD tags in and fires away on D. D catches him with a clothesline and delivers a big sidewalk slam. He is thrown to the outside and Shiloh stomps him. Back inside, D & Dave make some tags and work KTD over. Dave misses the jumping clothesline in the corner and KTD tags Vine. Vine with a hit and a backbreaker to Dave. He dropkicks, then spears D. He hits Dave with his finisher and tags KTD, but Shiloh distracts Vine on the mic. He chases after him and KTD is taken down by Dave & D for the 3.

DARK MATCH: Amon (w/"The Void": Chace Destiny, Nigel Winters, & Houdini) defeats "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth. Smooth gets distracted by the Void and Amon hits him in the gut with the chain. He throws him outside where he hits him in the gut and hits him off the apron. Amon clubs him and hits his head off the steel steps. Back inside, Amon covers him for 2. He bites his head, hits a sidewalk slam off the ropes, but still can't put Smooth away. He stretches him out, but Smooth fights back, then has to fight off the Void. He hits Chace and press slams Nigel onto Chace. He hits Houdini off the apron. Amon tries to use the chain, but the ref pulls it away and Smooth hits a spinning cutter on Amon for the 3.
