OVW TV 1015: Bro-pocalypse Now

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, January 23, 2019. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at OVW TV. In this episode, Justin Smooth defends the Television Title in the gauntlet, Cali goes 1-on-1 with Jaylee, plus more!

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Void": Nigel Winters & Chace Destiny vs. Dimes & Brandon Wolfe ends in a no-contest. Wolfe & Nigel go back and forth early. Nigel hits a nice dropkick and takes Wolfe down with a side headlock. Off the ropes, Wolfe misses a dropkick and Nigel tags Chace. They take Wolfe down and he tags Dimes. They deliver a double hip toss to Dimes. Off the ropes, Dimes takes Chace down with an arm drag. He locks in the side headlock. Nigel tags back in and they hit a combo drop toehold and elbow drop on Dimes.

Some more back and forth before Crazzy Steve & Amon come out with steel chairs and take out all 4 men, including throwing Nigel into a chair in the corner and giving Chace an STH on a chair.

Jessie Belle defeats Miss Hannah. They lock up and Jessie takes control. She clotheslines Hannah in the corner, then again in the other. She rolls Hannah around in a circle with a leg scissors. She hits the Kiss My Grits for 2. Hannah comes back and takes control. She takes Jessie down for 2. She kicks Jessie and throws her to the corner. She misses a charge and Jessie kicks her in the head. She takes her down, then hits the Oh Snap suplex for 2. Jessie hits her with the Belle Ringer for the 3.

Ca$h Flo defeats "Livewire" KTD. KTD tries to outrun and outsmart Ca$h, but runs into his arms. KTD slides around and tries to roll him up, but Ca$h drops a leg. He chops him in all 4 corners, then hits the leg drop from the top rope for the 3.

Big Zo defeats "Heart Throb" Jaden Roller. Zo with the early control. He hits the cartwheel butt bump and back elbows. Jaden comes back and gets a little bit of offense in, but Zo regains the momentum and takes Jaden down with the running cross body for the 3.

After the match, Zo grabs a mic and says he was watching OVW TV back with his family last Saturday and saw where Ca$h Flo was running his mouth about how he's the best big man in the business. He says they have a history and he's done a lot for this business, but Zo says he has been here week in and week out.

Ca$h comes out and says he's been traveling all around the country and proving why he's the best. He challenges him to see who the better big man is at the February 2 SNS and their "legacy" will continue. Zo says he'll see him there and he'll find out what time it is!

OVW TELEVISION TITLE GAUNTLET MATCH: Shiloh Jonze (w/Big D) defeats Maximus Khan. Maximus with a powerful clothesline. Shiloh jumps on his back and Maximus throws him off. He charges him in the corner, but Shiloh moves and rolls him up with his feet on the ropes for the 3.

DL3 defeats Shiloh Jonze (w/Big D). They both try to steal quick pins from each other, but it's finally DL3 who gets a rollup with his feet on the ropes for the 3. Shiloh & DL3 hug it out as the next entrant comes out...

DL3 vs. Leonis Khan. Leonis takes out DL3, Shiloh, & Big D. Big D blindsides him as Maximus comes back out. All 5 men fight outside and to the back and the ref calls for a double DQ!

"The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth (c) defeats Drew Hernandez. Smooth with most of the control. Drew gets in a little offense, but Smooth comes right back and takes Drew down, then connects with the bicycle kick for the 3.

Amon & Crazzy Steve defeat Ashton Cove & William Lutz. Amon & Steve attack them before the bell. Lutz fires back with back elbows and they double team Steve in the corner with quick tags in and out. Amon causes a distraction which allows Steve to claw Cove's eyes and tag out. Amon chokes him and slaps him across the chest. Steve tags in and hits a cannonball in the corner. Amon & Steve hit a double chop on Cove and knock Lutz off the apron. Amon suplexes Steve onto Cove for 2 as Lutz breaks the pin. Lutz gets taken down again and they hit the Dominator on Cove for the 3.

Amon pulls Lutz back in and delivers the STH. Steve grabs a mic and says the Void better kiss their loved ones goodbye, because they are dead to them and will paint such a putrid picture against them next week, that the viewers will vomit in their seats.

Cali Young defeats Jaylee. Cali goes after Jaylee and knocks her out of the ring. She hits a dropkick through the ropes. She charges her on the outside and Jaylee throws her into the ringpost. Back inside, Jaylee works her over and goes for a suplex, but Cali reverses it into an inside cradle for the 3!

After the match, Jaylee attacks Cali. Brittany Devore runs out and goes after Jaylee, but Jaylee gets the upper hand. Valerie Vermin runs out, but checks on Cali while Jaylee is still pummeling Brittany. They finally get up and run Jaylee off.

Eddie Knight defeats Adam Revolver (w/Shannon the Dude). Knight fires away and says he wants Dapper Dan. Adam rolls out and Eddie goes after him. He hits his head off the apron and chops him. He gets on the apron and STD grabs his foot. Adam tries to suplex him in, but Eddie rolls over. Adam catches Eddie in a sleeper. He escapes, but Adam locks it right back in. Eddie uses the jawbreaker to get out of it and hits a flying forearm. He goes up top, but Adam catches him. Eddie headbutts him off. He flies off into the sleeper again. Eddie reverses, then Adam delivers a back body drop to break it.

Dapper Dan comes out and tells the ref that there's been an accident as he shoves a phone in his face and tells him to read the text. Dan goes to give a Death Valley Driver to Eddie, but Melvin Maximus comes out and tells him to drop him.

He shoves Dan out of the ring. He then gives Adam a powerslam and Eddie flies off the top with the elbow drop for the 3. After the match, Adam attacks Melvin from behind with the radio title, then hits Eddie after Eddie goes after STD. Adam & STD continue to stomp on Melvin until Tony Gunn & Tony Vanetti run out and clear the ring.

Vanetti says at the SNS, he wants to get a shot at STD's radio title. Adam says they didn't even want the match, so they won't show up unless Gunn chooses to put his #1 contendership on the line. It's accepted. If the Tonys win, Vanetti gets a shot at the radio title, but if Adam & STD win, Adam gets the #1 contender spot.

Gilbert Corsey brings out Dustin Jackson. Gilbert wants to know what happened to the Bro Godz. Dustin says it's hard, because Colton Cage was his first friend in the business. When he struggled, he was always there for him. He says getting stabbed in the back by a brother hurts, it hurts a lot. He wants to talk to Colton face-to-face. Colton comes out and Dustin says he thinks it was jealousy. Dustin says he was a skinny kid when he started, but lifted, trained, and became OVW TV Champion. Colton says jealous of what? He says he lost his family and his wife playing stupid "bro" games with him. Colton says he won the titles 4 times and Dustin lost them 4 times. Dustin dares Colton to hit him or just leave like his wife left him! Colton tells him to never talk to him like that. He's a god and Dustin is just a stupid little brother. He says he'll leave, but he wants him to know that before Meg left when Meg & Dustin were together, he hooked up with her and she said his bed was a lot softer and nicer, and he left her satisfied. Dustin takes Colton down and a brawl is on.

This ended the TV taping.

DARK MATCH: Big D (w/Shiloh Jonze & DL3) defeats "The Veteran" Apollo. Apollo kicks Big D and is working him over when he sees DL3 & Shiloh trying to get into his fanny pack. Big D hits him and this keeps going back and forth with Apollo gaining control only to lose it when his fanny pack is being messed with. Big D hits the Blitz Kick to finish him off for the 3.

DARK MATCH: Dustin Jackson defeats "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson. Quick back and forth exchanges early. Sam hits a forearm in the corner. Dustin comes back and hits his dropkick. Sam back off the ropes with an enziguri. Dustin knocks Sam off the apron to the outside. He misses a charge, and Sam kicks him in the face. Sam then dives out onto him. Back inside, Dustin catches Sam and powerslams him for 2. He goes for another, but Sam slides off. They both go for a cross body at the same time. They exchange blows and Sam hits a running knee. He hits a snap DDT for 2. Dustin comes back with a suplex slam, then hits the splash off the top rope for the 3.
