OVW Nightmare Rumble 2022

This is the OVW Report for Saturday, January 15, 2022.

TONIGHT:

-Jessie Godderz puts the OVW National Title on the line against Chris Adonis who is putting the NWA National Title on the line in a special attraction title vs. title match with Earl Hebner as special guest referee!

-Plus, for the first time ever, there are TWO Nightmare Rumbles! One for the women, where the winner will go on to face Freya the Slaya for the Women's Title, and another for the men, where the winner will go on to face Ryan Howe for the Heavyweight Title!

PRE-SHOW:

Linda Kay & Eric Cornish are the ring announcers.

"The Candidate for a Brighter Future in Wrestling" Koda Jacobs vs. "The Mercenary" Garrisaon Creed.

Koda offers a handshake, then smacks him. Creed smacks him back, then throws him into the corner. He runs in with an uppercut, then a high knee. He gets Koda on his shoulders, but Koda slides off and shoves him toward the ref. While the ref ducks, Koda takes out Creed's knee from behind. Koda tries to lock him in a submission, but Creed kicks him away. He hits a running knee to the face and dropkicks him. Creed goes to jump off the corner, but his knee gives out. Koda hits his knee from behind and rolls him up with his feet on the ropes for the 3. 

WINNER: KODA by pinfall.

NIGHTMARE RUMBLE:

Bryan Kennison & Dancin' Stevie J are on commentary, Linda Kay, AJ McKay, & Eric Cornish are the ring announcers.

"Mr. Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels vs. "Big Whiskey" Jared Kripke vs. Grayson Douglas Jr.

Lots of offense early from Jared. AJ keeps getting knocked from the ring. AJ hits a 450 on Grayson, but Jared breaks the pin. He hits Grayson with an inverted overhead DDT, but Grayson kicks out at 2. There's a corner spot where Grayson powerbombs Kripke as he is superplexing AJ. Grayson gets up and nails a running knee to Jared that turns him inside out. AJ grabs Grayson and throws him outside, then covers Jared for the 3.

WINNER: DANIELS by pinfall.

WOMEN'S NIGHTMARE RUMBLE:

Freya the Slaya is out to join commentary. Out first is Alice Crowley. #2 is Sierra. #3 is Judi Hendrix. Judi & Alice try to work together to get Sierra out, but she fights back in. #4 is Bashley Bones. #5 is Nikki Victory. Number 6 is Kolbe Max. Bashley is eliminated, then Kolbe eliminates Judi! Number 7 is Jada Stone. #8 is Lucy B. Sweet. She is immediately tossed out by Sierra. #9 is Lindsey Carlson. Carlson eliminates Crowley. #10 is Olivia Devine. She eliminates Max. Nikki is eliminated. #11 is Shannon the Dude. STD dumps Olivia & Carlson over. Sierra rolled outside and has not been eliminated. #12 is Linda Kay! Linda eliminates STD! #13 is Kelsey Lynn. Linda gets eliminated and Sierra has made it back in the ring. #14 is Angelina Love! #15 is Hayley Shadows. #16 is Lindsay Snow. Kelsey is eliminated. #17 is Brittany Garcia. #18 is Myka Madrid. #19 is Charlie Kruel. Love eliminates Hayley. #20 is Arie Alexander.  The wild card is Kelsey. Snow gets eliminated. Kruel gets eliminated by Kelsey. Myka eliminates Garcia. Sierra eliminates Myka. Love tosses Arie out. Sierra & Love work together to eliminate Kelsey. Sierra tries to toss Love, but she holds on on the apron. Sierra charges and Love pulls down the top rope. Sierra lands on the apron. They fight and Sierra hits a super kick. Love holds on and gets back up and hits a boot to Sierra's face, and Sierra falls to the floor! 

WINNER: LOVE.

After the match, Freya the Slaya gets in the ring and has a staredown with Love!

In the back, Chris Adonis is interviewed about tonight's big match with Jessie Godderz. He says it's good to be back in his home away from home and tonight it will be "masterlock" time!

 

"Flawless" Jake Lawless vs. Crixus.

Crixus dominates the majority of the matchup with his brute strength. He headbutts Jake and clotheslines him, then puts him away with a running knee for the 3.

WINNER: CRIXUS by pinfall.

MEN'S NIGHTMARE RUMBLE:

Ryan Howe is out to play guitar before joining commentary. #1 is Big Zo. #2 is the returning Omar Amir! Omar clotheslines Zo out! #3 is Joey Avalon. Omar eliminates Avalon. #4 is Reverend Ronnie Roberts. Ronnie puts up a fight, but Omar tosses him too. #5 is Dustin Jackson. #6 is Hy Zaya. #7 is Matt Vine. #8 is Brandon Espinosa. #9 is Koda Jacobs. Omar tosses him out almost immediately. #10 is Steve Michaels. #11 is D'mone Solavino. #12 is Tony Evans. Omar tosses D'mone & Evans simultaneously. Omar eliminates Steve. Espy throws Omar over the top, but he lands on the apron. Howe jumps up from commentary and pulls Omar off the apron to eliminate him! #13 is Tom Coffey. Dysfunction tries to eliminate Dustin, but he holds on. #14 is Truth Magnum. #15 is Kal Herro. He gets attacked by Dark Kloudz and Dustin eliminates himself to help his partner. #16 is Tony Gunn. #17 is Amon. #18 is Jack Vaughn. Hy is eliminated by Vaughn. Gunn gets hit to the outside, but lands on a chair. His feet don't touch the floor, so he stays in. #19 is Turbo Floyd. The Outrunners think they eliminated Gunn, but he holds on to the bottom rope. #20 is the return of Mahabali Shera. Truth & Floyd both get eliminated by Shera. Coffey & Espy get eliminated by Shera. Vine gets tossed by Shera. Shera dumps Vaughn out. Shera tosses Amon out. Shera eliminates Kal & Gunn! #21 is Kevin Thorn! #22 is Dimes. He tries to double chokeslam Thorn & Shera, but they throw him out. #23 is Luscious Lawrence. #24 is Star Rider. #25 is Eric Darkstorm. #26 is Ca$h Flo. #27 is Deget Bundlez. Shera is eliminated by Dark Kloudz. Thorn clotheslines both Dark Kloudz out. #28 is Scotty 2 Hotty! #29 is Tony Bizo. #30 is Gustavo. Star & Gustavo eliminate each other. The wild card is Omar Amir. Ca$h dives out of the ring onto Omar! Scotty delivers a Worm to Bizo, then eliminates Luscious. He clotheslines Bizo out as well. Ca$h & Thorn are both eliminated by Scotty.

It's down to Scotty & Omar. Omar tosses Scotty to win! 

WINNER: OMAR.

OVW NATIONAL TITLE vs. NWA NATIONAL TITLE w/SPECIAL REFEREE EARL HEBNER: OVW National Champion "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz (w/Shannon the Dude) vs. NWA National Champion "The Masterpiece" Chris Adonis.

They lock up and Adonis takes Jessie down off the ropes. Jessie wants a test of strength. Jessie kicks him and locks in a side headlock. Adonis reverses into a wristlock and yanks Jessie's arm. He delivers a vertical suplex and kicks at Jessie's leg. He locks in a sharpshooter. Jessie reaches the bottom rope with help from STD. Earl tosses STD out. Jessie follows him on the outside and Adonis goes after him. Adonis claws Jessie's back and Jessie reverses a throw into the steel steps. Back inside, Jessie claws at Adonis' face. Adonis back with a hard chop, but Jessie takes him down and stomps him. He slingshots Adonis under the bottom rope. Jessie locks his legs around the torso in a submission. Adonis gets up and rams Jessie into the corner. He clotheslines him and hits another hard chop. Jessie runs into Earl in the corner, then Adonis hits Jessie with a Sky High. Another ref comes out and counts a 2. Jessie with an enziguri and a spear for 2! Adonis kicks out. Jessie locks in the Adonis Crab on Adonis. Adonis is able to crawl to the bottom rope for the break. Adonis goes for a Masterlock as Jessie argues with the second ref. Jessie slides out and dropkicks Adonis into the second ref. Charlene McKenzie is now out as referee #3. Jessie has kicked Adonis below the belt prior to her coming out and she counts to 2. Adonis kicks Jessie away and hits him with another Sky High for the 3!

WINNER and NEW OVW NATIONAL CHAMPION: ADONIS by pinfall.

Earl is back up and grabs a mic. He says he doesn't know where Charlene came from, and as far as he's concerned, she should be home washing clothes. He orders the match to restart. Jessie attacks from behind, but Adonis comes back and locks in the Masterlock. Jessie gets the rope and has to break. He grabs the title and clocks Adonis. Earl calls for the bell!

WINNER: ADONIS by DQ, STILL OVW NATIONAL CHAMPION: GODDERZ.

After the match, Earl removes his OVW referee shirt to reveal a Jessie Godderz shirt! He hugs Jessie and they leave the ring together!

This ended the TV taping.
