OVW TV 1179: Pec-Tacular Pity Party

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, March 17, 2022.

TONIGHT:
-Jessie Godderz returns to give his reaction to losing the OVW National Title!
-OVW Women's Champion Freya the Slaya is in action against Kolbe Maxx!
-Omar Amir goes to battle with OVW Tag Team Champion Eric Darkstorm of Dark Kloudz!
-Plus, Luscious Lawrence faces Big Zo, Matt Vine is in action against Carson DrakeDysfunction faces Level X in a grudge match, and much more!

PRE-SHOW:
Earl Joseph is the ring announcer.

"Flawless"
Jake Lawless & "Magic" Jake Dumas vs. "Big Whiskey" Jared Kripke & "Rudo" Raul LaMotta.
Early control by Kripke & Raul. Dumas gets his arm worked over, but Lawless trips Kripke off the ropes, allowing "Team Jake" to take control. Lawless with a knee to the face of Kripke and steps on his face while he tags in Dumas. Dumas hits an inverted atomic drop after tagging Lawless back in. Lawless hits a knee to the face again, then they deliver a double super kick for 2. Dumas throws Kripke to his corner, but Kripke leaps over a charging Dumas and hits a backstabber. Both of them tag out. Raul fires away, then hits Dumas with an inverted atomic drop and clothesline. Lawless hits him from behind and gets him on his shoulders. Kripke blind tags back in. Raul slides off Lawless' shoulders and pulls the top rope down as Lawless charges at him. Lawless goes to the floor and Kripke goes up top, hitting Dumas with a frog splash for the 3.
WINNERS: RAUL & KRIPKE by pinfall.

"Savage, Not Average"
Judi Hendrix vs. "Hollyhood" Haley J vs. Dream Girl Ellie
.
Haley & Ellie team up to kick Judi and double suplex her. Haley then attacks Ellie. Judi gets back in and clotheslines Haley, then suplexes her. Ellie attacks Judi and hits her in the corner with a boot to the face. Ellie & Judi then exchange hitting Haley with some hard rights and chops. Judi covers Haley, but Ellie breaks the pin. Ellie dropkicks Judi in the ropes and delivers a modified pedigree, driving Judi's head into the mat for the 3.
WINNER: ELLIE by pinfall.

Joe Mack & Matt Black vs. 
"Bankroll": Ca$h Flo & "Big Money" Dimes.
Ca$h opens up the Chop Shop on both opponents. Bankroll dominates the contest and finishes their opponents off after a Mega Payload for the 3.
WINNERS: BANKROLL by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):
Bryan Kennison, Dancin' Stevie J, & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, AJ McKay is the ring announcer.

 The show starts with a 10-bell salute in memory of Scott Hall.

"Too Tough"
 Tony Donati vs. 
"Shotgun" Tony Gunn.
Gunn takes the fight to Donati. He hits him with a fall away slam and the "Takin' Out the Trash" suplex. He charges Donati and gets flipped over to the apron. He shoulders in and hits a knee off the top rope. Gunn goes to grab him, but Donati pulls his head down across the top rope. He clubs him and fires away, but Gunn gets angrier and dares him to hit him harder. Gunn takes him down and pounds him on the mat. Gunn with several hits and chops, then a knee to the face. He loads up and nails Donati with the Killshot for the 3.
WINNER: GUNN by pinfall.

"Killjoy"
 Kolbe Maxx (w/Judi Hendrix) vs. OVW Women's Champion "The Queen of the North" Freya the Slaya.
Maxx goes right after Freya, but gets thrown off. Freya catches her and rams her into the corner, then big boots her. She chokeslams her and delivers a big legdrop for the 3.
WINNER: FREYA by pinfall.
After the match, Freya attacks Judi and hits her big legdrop from the top rope.

"The Nephilim"
 D'mone Solavino vs. "The Mercenary" Garrisaon Creed
.
After some quick smacks by D'mone, Creed grabs him and slams him down, then smacks him in the back of the head. He kicks D'mone and goes for a suplex, but D'mone flips over. Creed gives him a huge back body drop. He picks him up, but again D'mone slides out, and he takes out Creed's knee. He locks Creed in a Full Nelson. Creed works up and rams him into the corner to break the hold. D'mone charges, but Creed with a drop toehold into the middle turnbuckle. He runs in with an uppercut, then a high knee. He climbs up to the second rope and delivers a missile dropkick. Creed gets him up again, but D'mone shoves him off toward the referee. While the ref ducks and covers, D'mone hits Creed below the belt and covers him for the 3.
WINNER: D'MONE by pinfall.
After the match, the lights go out and Hy Zaya shows up in the ring. He hits D'mone with an inverted piledriver, then helps Creed up. The lights go out and once again we see "Ninja Vanish".

In the back, we see Jessie Godderz trying to enter the former locker room designated for the National Champion. Security keeps him from going in and they say they will show him to his locker room.

"Double A"
 Arie Alexander (w/OVW Heavyweight Champion Ryan Howe) vs. Michelle Green.
Arie locks her up, but Green reverses into a side headlock and takes her down. She's in control until Arie drops her into the ropes. Howe shakes them to knock her off. Arie hits a German suplex, but Green starts to fire back. Howe gets back on the apron and as the ref checks on Arie, Howe sprays hair spray into her eyes. Arie rolls her up from behind and holds the tights for the 3.
WINNER: ARIE by pinfall.

In the back, we see Jessie Godderz in the "common folks" locker room. He can't believe who he is surrounded by with Jared Kripke, Jake Lawless, & Dimes, and asks what is happening to his life.

Carson Drake vs. 
"Goodfella" Matt Vine. 
Vine with some arm drags and hip tosses. He works over the arm and smacks Drake on the backside at the same time. Drake goes for his bullhorn, but the ref takes it. It allows Drake to hit Vine, but Vine fires back. Drake goes after the knee. Quick offensive exchanges. Vine catches him with a big spinebuster. Vine splashes him in the corner and snapmares him. He nails a super kick and covers him for the 3.
WINNER: VINE by pinfall.

As the announcers talk about the previous match,
Jessie Godderz comes out and says he has never been this disrespected and ridiculed. He is losing his mind. He is upset that they are cutting to commercial, then says he hates (Mahabali) Shera and the ref was lousy. He says he pays for everything here, the A/C, the lights, the guy behind the camera, and he's the face of everything OVW. Where's Shera now? He should have a box, a helicopter on the top of the building. He says he is out here sweating, and he doesn't sweat his own sweat. He is not leaving. Al Snow is out to the ramp. Jessie says finally, someone is out here to make some sense of things. Jessie wants a title shot. Snow goes through all the champions and lands on Shera. Jessie says he wants his rematch. Snow says there is a big night coming up on March 29, and he will make a match right now with Mahabali Shera defending the National Title against Jessie Godderz. However, if memory serves him correct, Jessie has lost twice to Shera over the last few weeks. Therefore, if he loses again at OVW Fight Night, he will be unable to challenge for the title again for at least 60 days!

OVW TV (HOUR 2):

"The Viking"
Roger Mathis vs. Crixus
.
Crixus is still favoring one of his eyes. Roger with some kicks and hits to Crixus and he delivers a belly to belly suplex. He locks him in a chinlock, but Crixus gets out and pounds away on him. He nails the Glasgow Kiss and gets the 3.
WINNER: CRIXUS by pinfall.
After the match, Amon appears on screen and says that he will take Crixus down "piece by piece" and he will see him soon. He should keep an "eye" out for him. Crixus is beside himself on the ramp, then turns around as Amon comes out and spits red mist in his face again.

In the back, Ryan Howe approaches Eric Darkstorm and says he will give him a pair of sunglasses and a guitar if he takes out Omar Amir tonight.

OVW Tag Team Champion "Elusive" Eric Darkstorm vs. Omar Amir.
As Omar comes out to get in the ring, Eric attacks him. Once in the ring, the bell rings and Omar throws Eric into the corner. He hits him, but Eric throat thrusts him. Eric takes him down and drops a knee. Omar hits at him, but Eric locks in a submission. Eric catches him with some chops as he tries to come back. Omar fires back and off the ropes, Eric yanks him down by his arm. He steps on Omar's face in the corner, then hits a running boot. He tries for another, but Omar moves. He hits a running clothesline. He then hits him with an overhead release suplex and a t-bone suplex. He splashes him in the corner, then Arie Alexander runs out to cause a distraction. Ryan Howe sneaks out and clubs Omar from behind. Eric hits a backbreaker/faceplant combo and covers for 2. Howe jumps on the apron and takes the ref down. He gets in and double teams Omar with Eric. Dimes & Ca$h Flo run out and Howe jumps out of the ring. They hit Eric with a double chokeslam, then Ca$h throws Eric to Omar for Island Time. The ref recovers and counts the 3.
WINNER: OMAR by pinfall.

Haley J is approached by Luscious Lawrence in the back. She says she was going to talk to him at a later time as Luscious asks why? She comes up with some excuses and leaves the room.

Big Zo (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence.
Luscious with a cross body off the ropes. Zo with a back elbow, but Luscious catches him with an atomic drop and an inverted atomic drop. Luscious goes up for a fameasser off the ropes, but Josh distracts him long enough for Zo to pull him out of the corner. Zo stomps his back, then splashes down across it. He throws Luscious hard into the corner. He throws him to another corner and splashes his back again. He throws him to the other corner, but Luscious comes back. He powerslams Zo, but Tony Bizo runs out and clocks Luscious with the Kentucky Title.
He tells Luscious this is his only and final warning to stay away from his girl.
WINNER: LUSCIOUS by DQ.

"Dysfunction"
: Brandon Espinosa & "The Iron Bear" Tom Coffey 
vs. 
"Level X""Unforgettable" Axton Ray & "The Sultan of the Sky" Blanco Loco.
Level X flies out on them before the bell even rings. They hit Espy in the corner. He tags out to Tom. Tom gets a double dropkick and they hit him into the corner. They deliver a double kick to the head, then double dropkick Tom from the apron. Tom takes Loco into his corner and tags Espy. Loco is able to kick them away, but tries to go up top. They each grab a leg and pull him down. They keep him cornered and double team him. Tom locks in the Iron Bearhug. Loco claps his ears and Tom shoves him to the ropes. Loco spiders in them and as Tom charges, Loco moves. He tags Ray as Espy tags in. Ray knees Tom out of the ring, then flips over Espy out of the corner and dropkicks his knee. He hits a somersault knee to the face. He goes to run off the ropes again, but Tom pulls down the top rope and he crashes to the floor. Now Ray is being double teamed in the wrong corner. Ray escapes Espy and tries to make a tag. Espy grabs him, but Ray hits a kick to the head. He finally gets the tag to Loco. Loco with several kicks and a springboard cutter to Tom. Espy breaks the pin. Ray gets knocked off the apron into the announce table. Tom grabs Loco from behind and Espy jumps off the top rope to give Loco a spike piledriver! The ref calls for the bell.
WINNERS: LEVEL X by DQ.
Several officials and the trainer run out with Dream Girl Ellie to check on Loco. They have to stretcher him out of the ring. As they try to, Dysfunction grab him and sling him to the floor. They throw Ray into the ringpost and Ellie goes after Tom & Espy, hitting them both. They deliver a double team backstabber to Ellie! The locker room clears out as Dysfunction runs out of the arena!

This ended the TV taping.
