OVW TV 1181: FIGHT NIGHT 2022

This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

*SPOILER ALERT: This episode will air on WBNA-21 & FITE TV at its normal time slot of 7PM ET on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

TONIGHT:

-Jessie Godderz looks to regain the National Title as he goes 1-on-1 with Mahabali Shera!

-Kentucky Champion Omar Amir faces Heavyweight Champion Ryan Howe in a title vs. title, winner take all match!

-Bankroll goes to battle with Dark Kloudz for the Tag Team Titles!

-Luscious Lawrence and Tony Bizo's rivalry leads them to a Street Fight!

-Crixus and Amon do battle in a blindfold match!

-Plus, Hy Zaya defends his newly won Rush Division Title against former champion Star Rider, and much more!

PRE-SHOW:

Earl Joseph is the ring announcer.

"Rudo" Raul LaMotta vs. Joe Mack.

They lock up and Mack takes Raul down to the mat. Another tie-up and a clean break in the corner. Side headlock by Raul. Off the ropes, Mack plows Raul down. Raul asks for a test of strength, then kicks Mack's leg out from under him. He attacks the leg again and locks in a sleeper. Mack breaks loose and Raul chops him hard. Raul fires on him, but Mack comes back with some big rights of his own. Off the ropes, Mack nails a spinebuster. Mack lines up and nails a big boot for the 3.

WINNER: MACK by pinfall.

Tyler Lee Deputy vs. Matt Black.

Black locks up the arm. Tyler comes back and locks up the arm, but Black reverses and Tyler misses a back elbow. Tyler has to get his foot in the ropes to break. Black with some hip tosses and a dropkick for 2. Tyler comes back and hits Black and runs him face first into the turnbuckle. He hits him in the corner, then charges in with a boot. He throws him out of the corner and nails a fist drop for 2. He locks in a sleeper. Black runs him into the corner to break it and fires up on Tyler. He clotheslines him and hits a German Suplex with bridge for the 3.

WINNER: BLACK by pinfall.

"The Legacy of Brutality": Big Zo & Steve Michaels (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. "The Outrunners": Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd. 

Quick tags by the Outrunners as they try to work him over in their corner. Zo takes Truth into his corner and Truth gets smashed by Zo & Steve. Zo & Steve are in control. Steve back body drops Floyd and then dumps Truth out on top of him. Zo & Josh hit them on the outside. Steve goes to throw them back out, but they shove him out instead. Zo comes in, but also gets knocked to the floor. Floyd holds up the bottom rope and Truth baseball slides through his legs, knocking Zo into Steve. Back inside, Truth goes for a sunset flip on Steve. Josh jumps on the apron and distracts the ref, while also throwing a chain to Steve. It's just out of his reach, and Floyd takes off his weight belt and clocks Steve in the head with it while Steve's reaching. Truth gets him over in the sunset flip and gets the 3.

WINNERS: OUTRUNNERS by pinfall.

FIGHT NIGHT HOUR 1:

Bryan Kennison, Dancin' Stevie J, & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, Eric Cornish & AJ McKay are the ring announcers.

HANDICAP MATCH: "Chemical X": "Killjoy" Kolbe Maxx & "Savage, Not Average" Judi Hendrix vs. OVW Women's Champion "The Queen of the North" Freya the Slaya.

Judi & Kolbe try quick tags early to keep Freya rocked. They hit a high knee and a codebreaker, then clothesline her in the corner. Freya comes back. She clotheslines Kolbe after knocking Judi off the apron, but misses a big boot. Freya goes for a slam, but Kolbe slides out and tags Judi. Judi fires away, but is caught off the ropes. Freya with a fall away slam. She puts a knee on Judi for 2 as Kolbe hits her from behind to break the pin. Chemical X goes off the ropes and gets double clotheslined by Freya. Freya has Judi in the tree of woe and runs in with a cannonball. Kolbe leaps on her back, but Freya dumps her off to the floor. She grabs Judi and lays her across the top turnbuckle. It appears she is going for a super fall away slam, but Kolbe gets back in and powerbombs her with Judi falling on top of her. Kolbe leaps over and they double cover her for the 3.

WINNERS: CHEMICAL X by pinfall.

6-MAN SCRAMBLE "GOLDEN KEY on a POLE" MATCH (WINNER BECOMES #1 CONTENDER for the KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE): "Flawless" Jake Lawless vs. ZDP vs. "The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino vs. "The Viking" Roger Mathis vs. "Goodfella" Matt Vine vs. "Shotgun" Tony Gunn.

All 6 men fight in and out of the ring and some go for the key early. Mathis dominates for a time before exchanging blows with Vine. Vine super kicks him. Vine gets D'mone & ZDP both up on his shoulders, but turns into a flying knee to the face from Gunn. Gunn nails Vine with a Killshot and goes to climb, but Jake knocks him down across the top turnbuckle. Jake knocks him off and climbs up the pole to retrieve the key!

WINNER and #1 CONTENDER for the KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: LAWLESS.

STREET FIGHT: "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo (w/"Hollyhood" Haley J & Dr. Ricky Jones) vs. "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence.

Luscious makes a beeline to the ring, but gets stomped by Bizo and they fight to the floor. Bizo pounds on Luscious and delivers a suplex on the floor. He looks under the ring and pulls out some baking sheets and hits Luscious with them. Luscious comes back and hits Bizo on the ramp. He puts a trash can over his head, then beats him like a pinata with a kendo stick. He rolls Bizo in, but Jones & Haley grab his feet as he goes to get in. Bizo knocks him off the apron. Jones rolls him back in and Bizo chokes him. Haley throws the trash can back in as Bizo hits a seated clothesline to Luscious. Back to the floor, Bizo stomps Luscious and hugs Haley. He turns around and gets hit with Luscious's old briefcase. Luscious brings in his mirror and hits a fameasser on it. Jones gets on the apron. Luscious grabs him, but Bizo has recovered and hits him with a Bizo Bottom. Bizo sets up a trash can in Luscious's face and goes for a coast to coast. He comes up a little short, but still hits Luscious. He covers him for 2. Back to the floor, Bizo grabs a chair and hits him across the back. Back inside, Luscious hits the One Night Stand on Bizo. Jones pulls the ref out at 2. Haley gets in and has the sock of rocks. Luscious goes to clothesline Bizo, but gets Haley instead. He checks on her, but Bizo grabs him and delivers the Bizo Bomb. Luscious kicks out at 2. He gets the Sock of Rocks and nails Bizo with it for the 3.

WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

After the match, Luscious hangs Haley in the tree of woe over Bizo and delivers a double Rump Thumper to them.

WINNER TAKE ALL MATCH: OVW Heavyweight Champion "Rockstar" Ryan Howe (w/"Double A" Arie Alexander) (c) vs. OVW Kentucky Heavyweight Champion Omar Amir (c).

Omar outsmarts Howe after a chase around the ring. Omar ducks down and comes up with a clothesline as Howe keeps running. Omar with a t-bone suplex. He grabs Howe who rolled to the apron, and suplexes him back in. He hits a big splash in the corner and plows him down. He splashes him again and goes up top, but Arie grabs his foot. He kicks her away and goes back up, but Howe hits the ropes. Omar tries to hit him away. Howe bites him and climbs up. He clubs him across the back and hits a superplex. Howe kicks Omar repeatedly in the head and goes up. He hits the Chart Topper for 2. He tries again for another 2. Howe kicks Omar in the midsection and snapmares him. He hits a seated clothesline for 2. He hits Omar in the head and covers for 2. Omar with a couple shots, but Howe knees him in the face. Omar back with some chops. He hits Howe in the corner and throws him to the opposite. Howe reverses and nails a dropkick. Howe misses the rock 'n' roll fist drop. Omar starts to fire back again. Howe kicks him, but runs into a clothesline. Omar plows into him in the corner with a shoulder. Howe drops him, but Omar kicks him off. Omar runs into a boot and Howe leaps off the ropes. Omar catches him with a Rock Bottom for 2. Omar grabs him by the hair on the apron, but Howe pulls his head down across the top rope. Howe leaps in and is caught. Omar delivers a Samoan drop for 2. Omar with a huge overhead belly-to-belly suplex. He hits another. Omar then makes it a trifecta. Omar with a fourth. Arie jumps on the apron with hairspray, but Omar catches her. He throws the hairspray down and hits Howe with another suplex. Arie tries to get in with a guitar, but Omar grabs it away. The ref sees Omar with it. He tries to take it away as Howe grabs another guitar. Omar & Howe both crack each other over the head with guitars and the ref calls for the bell.

DOUBLE DQ (TITLES DO NOT CHANGE HANDS).

FIGHT NIGHT HOUR 2:

OVW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: "Dark Kloudz": "Hustler" Deget Bundlez & "Elusive" Eric Darkstorm (c) vs. "Bankroll": Ca$h Flo & "Big Money" Dimes. 

Dark Kloudz attacks Bankroll on the entrance ramp. They run Ca$h into the ringpost and double team Dimes on the inside. Ca$h tries to get back up to the apron to make the tag, but Deget goes out and clubs him, then exposes the concrete and slams him on it. Inside, Dimes gets his nose busted open. He kicks Eric away and wants a tag, but Ca$h is still down. Deget slams him. He goes for a powerbomb, but Dimes with a headscissor takedown. Eric sneaks under the ring and pulls Ca$h off the apron, then runs him into the steel steps. They hit their finisher on Dimes and decide to go for a second. Ca$h grabs Eric by the foot and pulls him out. Dimes gets the hot tag and lights up Deget with chops. He hits the ref with a chop and the bell rings.

WINNERS and STILL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: DARK KLOUDZ by DQ.

After the bell, Ca$h grabs a chair and cracks Deget & Eric both across the back. He brings in a table and sets Eric up on it. Dimes gets on his back and they deliver a double Payload on Eric through the table!

RUSH DIVISION TITLE MATCH: "The Star of the Show" Star Rider (c) vs. "The Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya (c).

Star rushes Hy, but Hy kicks him into the corner. He delivers a double knee to Star's back, then slams him. Star slides off of Hy's back and dropkicks him. He hits him in the corner and Hy fires back. Star kicks him low and rakes his eyes. Star clubs his back and stomps him down in the corner. Star throws him hard into the corner and covers for 1. Star kicks him and throws him hard again into the opposite corner. He covers for 2. Hy reverses a throw and Star goes to leap over, but Hy slams him straight down face first. Hy back with some kicks and a hip toss slam. He delivers a backbreaker and backstabber and Star falls to the floor. Hy runs off the ropes and delivers a kick to Star through the ropes. The ref starts the 10-count. At 7, the lights go out. They come back on and Hy is in the ring, but Star is crawling the wrong way up the ramp. He doesn't make it in by 10!

WINNER and STILL RUSH CHAMPION: HY ZAYA by countout.

Star attacks Hy after the match and delivers Orion's Belt off the top rope.

BLINDFOLD MATCH: "Satan's Favorite Sinner" Amon vs. Crixus.

They back into each other and swing wildly, both missing. Crixus finds Amon and nails him with a hard right. Amon throws him, but Crixus slides down. Amon thinks he is coming off the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but misses. Crixus gets a hold of Amon in the corner and pounds away. Amon sneaks a peek under his blindfold and attacks Crixus from behind. He goes to hit him in the corner, but Crixus has crawled away. Amon backs up and trips over Crixus. Amon peeks again and kicks Crixus and goes for the STH, but Crixus flips him over. Crixus finds Amon and nails the Glasgow Kiss for the 3.

WINNER: CRIXUS by pinfall.

In the back, we see Reverend Ronnie Roberts about to talk to Tyler Lee Deputy. He gets interrupted by Dysfunction. Ronnie says they are not welcome here. Garrisaon Creed walks up and says he would like to help. He grabs their things and throws them out the door. They start to brawl in the back and it spills out to the ring. Dysfunction goes to leave, but Deputy, Roger Mathis, Jake Lawless, & Chemical X all come to the ramp to block them. The brawl continues and Ronnie gets a chair. Al Snow comes out to the ramp. He tells them to stop. He tells Dysfunction they were fined and suspended, and to get out of the building immediately. Before they do, Brandon Espinosa low blows Ronnie and they run out the side door with everyone chasing after them.

OVW NATIONAL TITLE MATCH: "Mr. PEC-Tacular" Jessie Godderz (w/Shannon the Dude) vs. "The Indian Lion" Mahabali Shera (c).

Jessie ducks and runs as Shera goes after him. Jessie hits him in the back and Shera isn't fazed. Jessie goes to kick him, but Shera grabs his foot. Jessie goes for an enziguri, but Shera ducks. Off the ropes, Jessie gets plowed down. Shera hits him in the corner and throws him across the ring. He runs in with a splash. Shera throws him to the opposite corner, but misses a charge and Jessie goes on the attack. He works over Shera's left arm, and locks it in a submission. Shera breaks loose and Jessie hits him, but Shera isn't fazed. Off the ropes, Shera catches Jessie and hits a fall away slam. Shera with a long-standing vertical suplex. Jessie pleads for him to stay back and then goes to pull Shera into the turnbuckle. Jessie stomps him and chokes him with his boot. STD with a cheap shot from the outside. Jessie chokes Shera in the ropes. Shera with some big rights. Off the ropes, Jessie comes back with a dropkick. Jessie wraps Shera's arm up in the ropes. Shera fires back again, but Jessie comes back with a step-up enziguri. Jessie with a clothesline. He locks the arm of Shera back up in a submission. Shera works up, but Jessie flips over for a cover for 2. Shera works up again and goes for another suplex, but Jessie knees him in the head and cranks down on the bad arm. He covers for 2. He locks in a cross armbreaker, but Shera gets to his feet and powerbombs him off. Shera with a back elbow and clotheslines. He slams Jessie and gets him on his shoulders. Jessie slides off and shoves him off the ropes. Shera plows him down. Back on his shoulders, Jessie gets taken down with a neckbreaker for 2. After a distraction by STD, Jessie with back-to-back spears. He hits a third for 2! STD gives the National Title to Jessie. Shera blocks it and nails Jessie with the Sky High for the 3!

WINNER and STILL NATIONAL CHAMPION: SHERA by pinfall.

After the match, Jessie clocks Shera from behind with the title and locks in the Adonis Crab. Several officials have to pry Jessie off Shera.

This ended the TV taping.
