OVW TV: THE 1200TH EPISODE!

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, August 11, 2022.

TONIGHT:
-OVW celebrates its past, present, and future with its historic 1200th episode, and ALL the titles are on the line!
-Tony Gunn will go to battle with champion James Storm for the OVW National Heavyweight Title!
-Omar Amir battles champion Jack Vaughn in a taped fist match for the OVW Heavyweight Title!
-Bankroll will defend the OVW Tag Team Titles in a triple threat match against Level X and the Fallen!
-Luke Kurtis defends the Rush Division Title against Manny Domingo, Freya the Slaya defends the Women's Title against Leila Grey, and Joe Mack defends the Kentucky Heavyweight Title against Matt Vine!
-Plus, Ryan Von Rockit in concert, Women's division action featuring Dream Girl Ellie, Guit-Arie Alexander, Tiffany Nieves, & Haley J, and much more!

Albert Gunner vs. "Big Whiskey" Jared Kripke

Jared with a side headlock. Gunner stomps his foot, knees him in the head, and throws him into the corner turnbuckle. Jared comes back with some chops and a dropkick. Gunner hits him in the corner and delivers a dropkick to the face. He chokes Jared in the corner. Gunner throws him to the opposite corner and runs in with a high knee. He hits a bulldog and a legdrop for 1. He locks in a sleeper and Jared works up. He nails a backstabber, then some chops and forearms. Off the ropes, Jared ducks a big boot and rolls Gunner up for the 3.
WINNER: KRIPKE by pinfall.

"The Puerto Rican Sensation"
 Maximo Suave vs. "The King of Fight" Will Austin vs. Elsuenio
.
Quick offense from Will with a flying headscissors and reverse cross body off the ropes. Suave & Elsuenio team up to take Will down with a double suplex, but then fight over the pin. More back and forth and pin attempts, but Suave throws Will up to deliver a cutter to Elsuenio. Will knocks Suave to the outside and dives out on them both. Suave throws Elsuenio into the steps. Back inside, Will gets a kick to the side of the head from Suave, then Suave nails the Compactor for the 3.
WINNER: MAXIMO by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):
Bryan Kennison, Dancin' Stevie J, & Josh Ashcraft are on commentary, Eric Cornish & Linda Kay are the ring announcers.

Episode 1200 starts with
Dean Hill in the ring. He brings out Al Snow, then Doug Basham. Doug says they appreciate all of Al's hard work and he presents him with a "Head" statue. Al thanks everyone!

FUTURE STARS SCRAMBLE: "The Galaxy Collector" Danny Astro
 
vs. "The Young OG" Jay Malachi vs. Callen Vance vs. Tyler Lee Deputy vs. Bo Sawyer.
Tons of back and forth with it being a scramble. In the end, Malachi catches Tyler with a cutter off the ropes to pick up the 3.
WINNER: MALACHI by pinfall.

In the back, Haley J apologizes and says clearly she has been going through some things. She is interrupted by Guit-Arie Alexander on the tambourine.

"Hollyhood"
Haley J & Guit-Arie Alexander vs. Dream Girl Ellie & "La Princesa" Tiffany Nieves.
Ellie takes the offense to Haley, then Arie & Tiffany both tag in. Tiffany takes the fight to Arie, then Ellie & Tiffany hit her with a double suplex and Ellie hits a seated clothesline. Tiffany gets double teamed and Haley & Arie take control. Ellie & Arie get hot tags and Ellie fires away on Arie & Haley. Ellie hits Arie with pedigree and picks up the 3. 
WINNERS: TIFFANY & ELLIE by pinfall.

OVW RUSH DIVISION TITLE MATCH: Manny Domingo vs. "Certified" Luke Kurtis 
(c).
Luke comes out in a suit with a neckbrace on. He knows Manny was looking forward to this title shot tonight, but Jared Kripke treated him like a wild animal and wrapped a belt around his neck last Saturday. He did not sign off on this match. Manny calls him a faker. Luke attacks him from behind with the title. He says he is fine and he was faking it. The lights go out, and Hy Zaya shows up in the ring. He knocks Luke to the outside and holds up the Rush Division Title.
NO CONTEST.

OVW TAG TEAM TITLE TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: 
"The Fallen""The Dark Reverend" Ronnie Roberts & "The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino (w/"The Demon Magnate" Amon & ZDP 2.0) vs. "Level X""The Sultan of the Sky" Blanco Loco & "Unforgettable" Axton Ray 
vs. "Bankroll": Ca$h Flo & "Big Money" Dimes (c)
.
Bankroll goes right after both teams. Dimes fights with Level X while Ca$h goes after the Fallen. Once the match finally gets under control in the ring, it's the Fallen who take control against Level X. Ray fights away and flips over Reverend, Dimes tags in and the Fallen fight with him. Level X gets back in and hits a double team tornado DDT on Reverend, but Ca$h plows Ray into the pinfall attempt from Loco. Ca$h chops Loco and throws him into a Change Maker from Dimes off the top. Things break down, and Ca$h has hit D'mone with the Payload before diving out on the Reverend & Amon. Dimes covers, but ZDP runs in and hits Dimes with a chain. He rolls D'mone over on Dimes and picks up the 1-2-3!
WINNERS and NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: THE FALLEN by pinfall.

Kenny "Starmaker" Bolin comes out to join commentary.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TAPED FIST MATCH: Omar Amir vs. "The Veteran" Jack Vaughn (c)
.
Omar goes after Jack and takes him to the mat. Omar delivers a back body drop and goes to hit Jack, but Jack pulls the ref in front of him. Jack throws some haymakers at Omar, delivers a gutbuster, and a sidewalk slam. Omar starts to fire up and hits an overhead release suplex. Jack reverses a throw to the corner and plants Omar with a spinebuster. Jack goes up top, but Omar catches him and hits him with a t-bone suplex off the top. Jack spits in Omar's face, throat thrusts him, then hits Omar with a hard right to the jaw. Jack misses a charge in the corner and Omar hits 2 consecutive German suplexes. On the 3rd attempt, Jack grabs the ref and kicks Omar below the belt so the ref can't see it. Jack hits a hard lariat. Omar gets up at 9 and falls back down. Jack grabs him, but Omar fires back with the taped fists and knocks Jack out. The ref counts to 10 and Omar is champion again!
WINNER and NEW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: OMAR by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 2):

Dean Hill
 in the ring again to start hour 2. He talks about the names that have walked through OVW. The Prototype (John Cena), Batista, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, and so many more. He passes the torch to Bryan Kennison. Bryan brings out James Storm. Storm says Mahabali Shera is good, but not James Storm good. He tells Tony Gunn sorry about his da*n luck tonight. Tony comes out and says he has been in OVW for 10 years and would love nothing more than to take the national Title tonight. Jessie Godderz interrupts and says to be frank, he thinks someone who has already been champion should get that opportunity and argues with Tony. Storm says him and his partner used to fight sometimes, but always drunk some beer and felt better. James offers him a drink of his beer. Jessie acts like he is going to take a drink, then turns and busts the beer bottle over Tony's head!

OVW WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH: 
"The Unstoppable Danger" Leila Grey vs. "The Queen of the North" Freya the Slaya (c).
Aaron Grider is once again the ref. Leila takes the fight to Freya and has her rocked in the corner. Aaron is yelling at her, then Leila clotheslines him. Leila turns into a big clothesline from Freya. Freya grabs the title and walks off.
NO CONTEST.

Al Snow says doctors have stitched up Tony Gunn and he is willing to go against doctor's orders for his opportunity tonight. He has signed a hold harmless agreement.

KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: "Goodfella" Matt Vine vs. 
"The Immaculate" Joe Mack (w/Shannon the Dude).
Vine takes the fight to Joe. STD continuously gets involved and causes distractions. Vine sets up for Sweet Chin Music, but Adam Revolver shows up and pulls Vine into a wishbone around the ringpost. Joe hits him with a powerbomb and gets the 3!
WINNER and STILL KENTUCKY CHAMPION: MACK by pinfall.
After the match, Doug Basham tells them to shut up. He challenges them to a fight. STD says 2 on 1. Doug brings out Al Snow. Al says at the Big One, it will be Mack & Adam vs. Doug & him! If they win, Al gets 5 minutes alone with Shannon!

Ryan Von Rockit has a concert that's interrupted by Tony Bizo & Ricky Jones. Ryan tries to get the crowd to sing along that Bizo sucks.

OVW NATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: 
"Shotgun" Tony Gunn vs. "Cowboy" James Storm (c).
Gunn goes after Storm, but Storm quickly takes control. Storm with a codebreaker. Gunn starts to regain some steam, but wears out running across the ring. Storm tries to put Gunn away with a backstabber for 2. He grabs a chair and puts it in the corner. Storm grabs his beer, takes a drink, and spits it in Gunn's face. He goes to throw him into the chair, but Gunn reverses. Gunn covers for 2. He sets up for the Killshot, but Jessie Godderz runs out and attacks Gunn from behind!
WINNER: GUNN, but STILL NATIONAL CHAMPION: STORM.
