OVW TV 1203: "Fallen" Into a Trap

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, September 1, 2022.

TONIGHT:
-Shannon the Dude discusses what happened at the Big One and his OVW future!
-Bankroll meets up with Luscious Lawrence & Crixus to determine NEW #1 contenders for the OVW Tag Team Championships1
-In Women's action, Haley J goes 1-on-1 with Judi Hendrix!
-Kal Herro & Ryan Von Rockit come together to face the Dark Kloudz in a tag team match!
-Plus, Anthony Catena battles Jack Vaughn, Fatal 4 Way Rush Division action, and much more!

PRE-SHOW:
Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

"Killjoy" Kolbe Maxx vs. "The Queen of the North" Freya the Slaya vs. "La Princesa" Tiffany Nieves
.
Freya is able to control early, tossing both opponents out of the ring. They both get in and get slammed and knocked away again. Tiffany & Kolbe team up to knock Freya to the outside. Tiffany & Kolbe trade pinfall attempts, but it's Tiffany who is able to get the 1-2-3 on Kolbe after a rollup.
WINNER: TIFFANY by pinfall.
After the match, Freya attacks both opponents and drops a legdrop across both of them at the same time.

"Superior"
 Tony Evans vs. "Rudo" Raul LaMotta
.
They lock up and Evans go immediately after Raul's bad shoulder. Raul reverses and chops him. Another chop and back elbow. Evans throws Raul shoulder first into the corner turnbuckle. Evans wraps the arm up in the ropes and has to break before the 5 count. Evans with a shot to the head and a back elbow. Evans hits a shoulder breaker and covers for 2. Raul starts to fire back, but Evans kicks him and clubs him across the back. Raul back with another chop, but Evans attacks the shoulder and kicks it repeatedly in the corner. Evans goes for another shoulder breaker, but Raul slides down and rolls Evans up for the 3.
WINNER: RAUL by pinfall.

"The Valedictorian of the Harvard of Professional Wrestling"
 KarDaniel Tobias Dunn
 vs. "The Pillar of Progress" Dexter Roswell.
They exchange wristlocks. Dunn with a side headlock and shoulder block off the ropes. Dexter hits a reverse hip toss. He fires away on Dunn, but Dunn drops him near the corner and rolls him up with his feet on the ropes to get the 3.
WINNER: DUNN by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):
Bryan Kennison, Dancin' Stevie J, & Josh Ashcraft are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

"The Midwest Monster Hunter"
 Bo Sawyer vs. "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo (w/Dr. Ricky Jones & 
"Dark Kloudz": "Elusive" Eric Darkstorm & "Hustla" Deget Bundlez).
Bo locks up with Bizo into the corner and clean breaks, though Bizo says his hair was pulled. Bizo hits him in the corner and gets kicked in the face off the ropes. Off the ropes again, Bizo catches him with a leaping clothesline. He hits a seated clothesline and tries to slam Bo. Bo slides out and slams Bizo. Bo with a clothesline and gets kicked off the ropes. Bizo goes off the ropes and catches a big boot. Bo with a running uppercut to Bizo in the corner. Bizo hits Bo off of him and gets him up for the Bizo Bomb, connecting and getting the 3.
WINNER: BIZO by pinfall.

"The Candidate for a Brighter Future in Professional Wrestling" Koda Jacobs vs. "The 80's Baybee" TW3.
They exchange holds. Koda takes TW3 down with a snapmare and misses a legdrop. TW3 with some fast kicks and leaps off the ropes with a cross body. TW3 goes to leap off the ropes again, but Koda hits the ropes. He stomps TW3 down in the corner. TW3 fires back and hits some more kicks and a leg sweep. He catches Koda with a enziguri to the head and covers for the 3.
WINNER: TW3 by pinfall.

"The Veteran" Jack Vaughn
 vs. Anthony F.N. Catena
.
Catena goes after Jack, but gets slammed down to the mat. Jack with shoulder block takedowns off the ropes. Catena tries to roll Jack up, but Jack holds the ropes. Catena tries to leap off the ropes, but Jack denies him again. He throws Catena so hard to the corner that he flips over the top rope to the outside. Jack slams him across the apron. Back inside, Catena starts to fire up. He knocks the big man down with a spinning back elbow. He covers for a near fall. Jack comes back and nails Catena with a lariat and gets the 3.
WINNER: VAUGHN by pinfall.

RUSH DIVISION 
FATAL 4 WAY: Nikeem the Dream vs. Manny Domingo vs. Jay Malachi vs. "Big Whiskey" Jared Kripke.
All 4 fight in opposite corners. Jay with some nice offense including a headscissor takedown and dropkick. All 4 end up flying out of the ring on one another. Lots of quick offense. Each of the 4 hit a move on one another. In the end, Manny is still on his feet and has Nikeem set up in position for the 450 splash. He connects and covers to get the 1-2-3.
WINNER: DOMINGO by pinfall.

"Dark Kloudz"
: "Elusive" Eric Darkstorm & "Hustla" Deget Bundlez (w/Dr. Ricky Jones & "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo) vs. 
Ryan Von Rockit & "The Fanny Pack Kid" Kal Herro.
Kal with the early offense and control after Ryan tags him in by smacking him across the cehst. Kal takes the fight to both Eric & Deget, hitting them with hip tosses and working over Eric's arm. Bizo trips Kal off the ropes and Ryan yells at him from the apron. Eric reverses a throw off the ropes and Kal plows into Ryan, knocking Ryan off the apron and into the guardrail at ringside. Bizo & Jones stand over Ryan and laugh as Dark Kloudz take advantage inside. Kal comes back with a double clothesline after ducking one from DKZ and hits Eric with a jawjacker. Eric grabs him away from his corner as Ryan climbs back up to the apron. He chokes Kal in the ropes and there is some double teaming behind the ref's back after they hit Ryan and he tries to get in. Eric throws Kal hard into the corner and again. Kal reverses a throw and Eric falls to the floor. Deget gets in to try and keep Kal from the tag. Eric grabs Ryan off the apron and clotheslines him. Back inside, Eric locks Kal into a submission focused on the shoulder. Eric wrings the arm and pulls Kal back to their corner. Deget tags in and drops an elbow as Eric holds him. Deget with a reverse headlock. Kal tries to work up, but Deget drops him and drags him back to their corner. Eric tags in. Off the ropes, Kal gets hung up across the top rope by DKZ. Off the ropes again, Kal kicks Deget and knocks Eric to the corner. He gets the hot tag to Ryan. Ryan comes in firing away and they deliver double dropkicks to DKZ. Bizo gets on the apron, but TW3 runs out and pulls him down. TW3 hits Bizo and connects with an enziguri on the outside. DKZ grab a pair of sneakers and go to hit Kal & Ryan, but they duck and each roll their opponents up for double 3 counts.
WINNERS: KAL & ROCKIT by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 2):
Bryan Kennison, Dancin' Stevie J, & Josh Ashcraft are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

"Savage, Not Average" Judi Hendrix vs. "Hollyhood" Haley J.
Lots of exchanges early on, but Haley pulls Judi down to the mat. Judi grabs her mini alligator head and tries to hit Haley with it. Haley with a lot of hits and a super kick. Amon comes out on the ramp and Haley is briefly distracted. Judi rolls her up for 2, but Haley comes back and hits the clothesline takedown for the 3.
WINNER: HALEY J by pinfall.

Bryan Kennison
brings out the Kentucky Heavyweight Champion, Matt Vine. Vine comes out with a sling on his arm. He says he wasn't going to go down without a fight, but he separated a joint and it's a grade 5 which is one of the worst. He will be out for at least 6-10 months. This won't stop him, though. When he comes back, you will see a bigger, better, and stronger Matt Vine. He has to relinquish the title, but when he comes back he will be going after the OVW Heavyweight Title, the OVW National Title, and will be the face of OVW!

"The Fighting Siren"
 Shalonce Royal
 
vs. "The Spark" Jada Stone.
Back and forth early, but both women get distracted as Amon comes out to the ramp again. Jada fires up and takes Royal down for 2. Off the ropes, Royal catches her with a fireman's carry slam to pick up the 3.
WINNER: SHALONCE by pinfall.

Shannon the Dude
 is out with Adam Revolver. He says he had Al Snow beat if it wasn't for the stupid mannequin head that is obviously the brains of the operation that Al used to knock him out. He says this is far from over. However, he would also like to announce that he has resigned a new contract to manage Jessie Godderz. Tony Gunn's music hits and he walks straight to the ring, laying out Adam with a Killshot. He grabs STD and yells at him in the corner and has to be pulled off by officials.

OVW Rush Division Champion 
"Certified" Luke Kurtis vs. Will Austin.
Will with quick offense early that keeps Luke off his game. They fight on the outside. Back in, Luke takes Will down and goes up top, but Will catches him with a floatover slam off the top. Will tries to lift him up for a move, but Luke slides around and locks in the COA, forcing Will to tap.
WINNER: KURTIS by submission.
After the match, Luke says the thought of facing him makes other superstars sick to their stomach, that's why Omar Amir didn't even show up tonight. He says it doesn't matter who it is, when it comes to the COA, they will tap out like all the rest!

#1 CONTENDERS' MATCH for the OVW TAG TEAM TITLES: 
"Bankroll"
: "Big Money" Dimes & Ca$h Flo
 vs. 
"The Scottish War Machine" Crixus & "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence.
Ca$h and Crixus lock up. Crixus hits Ca$h in the corner, but Ca$h runs out with a hard clothesline. Dimes tags in and Crixus & Luscious take him down, but Luscious doesn't see Ca$h tag, and Ca$h plows him down. Dimes tags back in and tries to butt bump Luscious, but Luscious catches him. Dimes escapes and hits a shoulder tackle off the ropes. Crixus tags in and hits a double vertical suplex with Luscious on Dimes. Crixus covers for 2. Luscious tags back in and gets a jawjacker from Dimes. Crixus tags in and takes Dimes to the amt, but he is able to break free and tag Ca$h. Ca$h comes in chopping away. Luscious gets knocked to the outside and Bankroll hits Crixus with a double chokeslam. Ca$h goes up top and Amon comes out. The Fallen comes out from under the ring and tries to get in, but Bankroll, Luscious, & Crixus team up to fend them off. Ca$h goes diving through the ropes onto all 4 of them. Luscious then hits Dimes with an inverted atomic drop and Crixus hits the Claymore for the 3.
WINNERS and NEW #1 CONTENDERS: LUSCIOUS & CRIXUS by pinfall.
