OVW TV #693: "Who is Josette's Man?"

This is the OVW Report for the night of Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Tonight at the Davis Arena, we saw another live edition of the "Suckah of the Week", Randy Royal returned to discuss his health, Joe Coleman defended the TV Title in round 3 against Jamin Olivencia, Jason Wayne rallied his troops against James "Moose" Thomas, Trailer Park Trash gave Josette an ultimatum regarding his mystery attacker, plus much more!
Without further ado:

Here we go...

 Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Ryan Howe b. Jeremiah Plunkett. After locking up, Howe gets Plunkett in the corner and clean breaks, but Plunkett pokes him in the eye and takes advantage. Plunkett works him over scratching Howe's back and headbutting him. Howe starts fighting back, but Plunkett takes him down again. He continues trying to wear him down, but Howe again fights back hitting a dropkick and a clothesline off the ropes. He goes up top and hits the Chart Topper for the 1-2-3. MY TAKE: Howe is once again racking up wins and gets a good win here over Plunkett.

Taeler Hendrix (w/Dylan Bostic) b. Jessie Belle. Jessie Belle tried rolling up Taeler quick, but only got a 2 count. She had control hitting some armdrags and rolled her around the ring in a circle with her legs. Taeler took a breather before coming back. Jessie Belle got distracted by Dylan which allowed Taeler to take control. Taeler worked her over, but couldn't put her away. Jessie Belle fought back and regained control until Dylan got up on the apron and distracted Jessie Belle again. She smacked at him, but he did enough to allow Taeler to regroup. When Jessie Belle turned around, Taeler was waiting with a swift kick to the head and got the pin. MY TAKE: Taeler is back on a winning streak, but can she continue it into SNS where she goes 1-on-1 with Taryn Terrell for the OVW Women's Title?

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always suggest watching the show first before reading my full report. You can find the shows posted online late Thursday afternoons/evenings at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Happy Turkey Day!

OVW TV #692: "The Return of Jo-VW?"

This is the OVW Report for the night of Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Tonight at the Davis Arena, Trailer Park Trash resumed his questioning on who attacked him, Taryn Terrell got a "present" from Taeler Hendrix, Eddie Diamond & Timmy Danger presented the "Suckah of the Week", OVW Heavyweight Champion Crimson was in action, and Joe Coleman had to defend the OVW Television Title against Jamin Olivencia once again.

It was kind of a hectic night being the night before Thanksgiving, as there was no announcers to start the night. Referee Joe Wheeler said "ding" to start the first match.

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Tony Gunn b. Dylan Bostic. Gunn took the advantage to start out as he delivered his patented monkey flip, but as he tried for a second one, Bostic moved and pulled him off the rope making him crash face first on the mat. Dylan went back to delivering moves and asking the crowd "Who Sucks Now?'". Toward the end, he said he was going to deliver a backdrop, but Gunn flipped over him and rolled him up for a quick 3. The crowd again chanted "Who Sucks Now?" back at Bostic. MY TAKE: Tony has bested Dylan 2 straight weeks. Maybe Dylan needs to focus more on his opponent and not the fans.

Eddie Diamond (w/Timmy Danger, Cinnamon Twist, & Bobbi Bardot) b. "Marksman" Nick Dumeyer. A quick back and forth match. Diamond hit his signature "Soulja Boy" kneedrop, Dumeyer came back but got distracted by Twist & Bardot, and Diamond was able to take advantage and hit his inverted DDT finisher. MY TAKE: Diamond is starting to get a small following from the fans. Who was his "Suckah of the Week"? Keep reading on to find out...

Taeler Hendrix b. Heidi Lovelace. Taeler kept mocking Heidi asking her "Where's Your Title?" and avoiding entering the ring. Heidi finally brought her in and went to town taking out her frustrations from Taeler costing her the title from the week before. Taeler was able to come back and defeat Heidi, though, after rolling her up with a handful of tights. MY TAKE: Taeler, whether you agree with her methods or not, looks like she is regaining form with a win over the former Women's Champ.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always suggest watching the show first before reading my full report. You can find the shows posted online late Thursday afternoons/evenings at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Tonight at the Davis Arena, Trailer Park Trash was on the hunt for his attacker, Heidi Lovelace defended the OVW Women's Championship against a special opponent with a special referee, the Best Team Ever defended the OVW Southern Tag Titles, and the Platoon of Wayne grew stronger with a new addition to the group.

Without further ado:

Here we go...

 Pre-Show Dark Match:

Tony Gunn b. Dylan Bostic. Dylan took the early advantage and after performing each move yelled at the crowd "Who sucks now?" Tony fought back and hit a couple monkey flips. He went for the airplane spin, but Dylan elbowed his way out of it. He went to clothesline Tony, but Tony ducked and rolled Dylan up with the backslide for the pin. After the match, the crowd chanted back at Dylan "Who sucks now?". MY TAKE: Tony didn't even need the bearhug tonight, as he gets back to winning by pinning "Pink Dynamite". Happy birthday to the loser, Dylan Bostic.

That was tonight's only pre-show dark match. I always suggest watching the show first before reading my full report. You can find the shows posted online late Thursday afternoons/evenings at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

OVW TV #690: "After You, Rob Terry"

This is the OVW Report for the night of Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Tonight at the Davis Arena, we found out who the next #1 contender for the OVW Heavyweight Title would be, Team Gutcheck was in action, Johnny Spade called out Doug Williams, Gilbert Corsey interviewed a "Knockout", and the Television Title was on the line in a way many people unexpected.

Without further ado:

Here we go...

 Pre-Show Dark Matches:

The Mobile Homers (w/Brittany Devore) b. The Wild Cards. Ted McNaler grabbed a mic and said that even though the election didn't go the way many people wanted it to, we still live in the greatest country in the world. He then said he's sick of tired of sitting back and watching the Wild Cards interfere in everyone's matches. As him & Adam turned, the Wild Cards attacked from behind. This was a brawl and barely a match. Adam & Raul mainly fought on the outside as Ted fought with Shiloh on the inside. After a few back and forth rollups, Ted finally got the 3 on Shiloh in a quick one. After the match, Raul grabbed the "rocket fuel" and threw it in Ted's eyes before him & Shiloh ran off. MY TAKE: The Mobile Homers win a surprisingly quick one, but the Wild Cards got the last laugh. How are Ted's eyes after being burned by the "rocket fuel"? Is this the beginning of a rivalry for these two duos?

Elvis Pridemoore (w/Cinnamon Twist) b. Jeremiah Plunkett. Open mic night continued as Plunkett grabbed a mic and ran down Elvis for wearing work boots, jeans, and a backwards baseball cap and saying that must be the reason the fans like him, because they are just like him. He says he trains and wears actual wrestling gear, and Elvis couldn't lace his boots. He smacks Elvis in the head and knocks off his baseball cap as he shouts something at Cinnamon Twist. He turns around and Elvis kicks him in the gut and hits the stunner and this one is over quickly also. MY TAKE: I don't disagree with Plunkett about Elvis' choice of attire, but Elvis proved that it doesn't matter after a quick victory.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always suggest watching the show first before reading my full report. You can find the shows posted online late Thursday afternoons/evenings at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

OVW Saturday Night Special November 2012 Results

Tonight at the Davis Arena, Rob Terry got his long awaited rematch with Crimson for the OVW Heavyweight Title, The POW's went to war with the Mascara Mafia, the Best Team Ever defended the OVW Southern Tag Titles against Eddie Diamond & Dylan Bostic, and we even had a VERY special referee for the triple threat match for the OVW Women's Championship.

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Ace Hawkins vs. James "Moose" Thomas. Moose slings Ace down as he shows off his clear size advantage. Ace tries to roll up Moose, but doesn't even budge him. Moose goes to stomp him, but Ace moves. Ace with some kicks to the legs of Moose. This doesn't really affect Moose either as Ace argues with the fans. Moose shouts out that this is for Mike, referring to his friend Michael Hayes. Ace looks at him and says he's doing this for Mike? Ace starts hopping around on one leg making fun of Michael Hayes, and Moose's face changes quick. His blood starts to boil and his shoulders start to heave up and down. Ace turns around into 2 shoulder blocks, followed by a splash in the corner, and then Moose hits the Moose Kick for the 1-2-3. WINNER: MOOSE by pinfall. MY TAKE: Moose is a pretty laid back and easy going guy, but don't talk bad or make fun of one of his good friends, or you'll end up squashed on the mat as Ace was tonight.

OVW TV #689: "Halloween Spooktacular"

Hello, tonight's edition of the OVW Report is being taken over by the "Masked Blogger". I, the Masked Blogger was at tonight's Halloween edition of OVW TV, and was even brought into the ring during a costume contest, although I did not win.

Tonight at the Davis Arena, Cliff Compton may have interrupted the wrong man, there was a live edition of the Mixtape with Timmy Danger, Eddie Diamond, & Dylan Bostic, the Femme Fatales were at each other's throats, Alex Silva & Sam Shaw joined forces as Team GutCheck, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

The Wild Cards (Shiloh Jonze & Raul LaMotta) b. Stephon "Swag" Smith & The Bodyguy. The Wild Cards were both dressed as their mentor, Crimson. Each had a kneebrace and crutch as well as Crimson tights. Swag was dressed as Urkel from Family Matters and came out to the sitcom's theme song. Bodyguy wanted to show off his beautiful body, but the Wild Cards had different plans in mind. They attacked him and threw him out of the ring. They tried to gang up on Swag, but he came off the ropes and clotheslined both of them. Shiloh rolled out of the ring and grabbed a crutch which grabbed both Swag's and the referee's attention. This allowed Raul to grab the other crutch and pop Swag in the face with it and get the pin. MY TAKE: The Wild Cards appear to have learned some "tricks" from Crimson and it wasn't a "treat" for Swag to get hit with a crutch.

Epiphany vs. Jessie Belle. Epiphany was dressed as Red Riding Hood and she was up against "I Dream of Jessie Belle" who was dressed like a genie. A decent back and forth match that Epiphany controlled early with the size advantage, but Jessie came fighting back. The match ended after a double pin attempt and was declared a draw since both women's shoulders were down. MY TAKE: An odd ending, but it shows how competitive the Women's division is in OVW. The spotlight may be on Heidi, Taeler, & Josette at SNS, but these 2 will be very interested in the outcome.

Jason Wayne & the Platoon (Joe Coleman & Jack Black) b. Elvis Pridemoore, Ryan Howe, & Chris Silvio (w/Mo Green, Cinnamon Twist, & Bobbi Bardot). Coleman & Black are now matching Wayne with camouflage pants. Howe had some "KISS" facepaint tonight. Silvio, Elvis, & Howe had control to start as they worked over the arm of Coleman with quick tags in and out. Coleman finally broke free from Elvis and tagged in Wayne. Elvis took a beating for most of this match until tagging in Howe. Howe was in fire for a bit until Wayne knocked him off the top rope as he was going up for the Chart Topper. Wayne couldn't get the pin, however. Wayne tagged Coleman in as Howe broke free and tagged Elvis back in who had gained a second wind. Elvis took Coleman down with his flying punch, but the pin was broke up. Silvio ran in and fought with Black to the outside as Howe fought with Coleman. Wayne snuck over and grabbed his artillery chain and clocked Elvis which allowed Coleman to get the pin. MY TAKE: Wayne and the Platoon seem amped up for their upcoming encounter with the Mascara Mafia. Will they be able to escape with a win again?

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always suggest watching the show first before reading my full report. You can find the shows posted online late Thursday afternoons/evenings at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
