OVW TV #692: "The Return of Jo-VW?"

This is the OVW Report for the night of Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Tonight at the Davis Arena, Trailer Park Trash resumed his questioning on who attacked him, Taryn Terrell got a "present" from Taeler Hendrix, Eddie Diamond & Timmy Danger presented the "Suckah of the Week", OVW Heavyweight Champion Crimson was in action, and Joe Coleman had to defend the OVW Television Title against Jamin Olivencia once again.

It was kind of a hectic night being the night before Thanksgiving, as there was no announcers to start the night. Referee Joe Wheeler said "ding" to start the first match.
Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Tony Gunn b. Dylan Bostic. Gunn took the advantage to start out as he delivered his patented monkey flip, but as he tried for a second one, Bostic moved and pulled him off the rope making him crash face first on the mat. Dylan went back to delivering moves and asking the crowd "Who Sucks Now?'". Toward the end, he said he was going to deliver a backdrop, but Gunn flipped over him and rolled him up for a quick 3. The crowd again chanted "Who Sucks Now?" back at Bostic. MY TAKE: Tony has bested Dylan 2 straight weeks. Maybe Dylan needs to focus more on his opponent and not the fans.

Eddie Diamond (w/Timmy Danger, Cinnamon Twist, & Bobbi Bardot) b. "Marksman" Nick Dumeyer. A quick back and forth match. Diamond hit his signature "Soulja Boy" kneedrop, Dumeyer came back but got distracted by Twist & Bardot, and Diamond was able to take advantage and hit his inverted DDT finisher. MY TAKE: Diamond is starting to get a small following from the fans. Who was his "Suckah of the Week"? Keep reading on to find out...

Taeler Hendrix b. Heidi Lovelace. Taeler kept mocking Heidi asking her "Where's Your Title?" and avoiding entering the ring. Heidi finally brought her in and went to town taking out her frustrations from Taeler costing her the title from the week before. Taeler was able to come back and defeat Heidi, though, after rolling her up with a handful of tights. MY TAKE: Taeler, whether you agree with her methods or not, looks like she is regaining form with a win over the former Women's Champ.
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always suggest watching the show first before reading my full report. You can find the shows posted online late Thursday afternoons/evenings at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

The show starts out with Trailer Park Trash in his office. He says Josie should have done something last week when he got ambushed from behind. Josie said she's just a girl and couldn't have possibly done anything. She says maybe it was Crimson, because he wasn't out at the ring last week. Trash says he will question him later.

"VIP" Joe Rosa (w/Jose Del Barrio) vs. Ryan Howe. Howe gives us another solo before we get underway. Howe starts out with the advantage, but Del Barrio interferes allowing VIP to take charge. VIP gets in a few maneuvers before Howe fights back. Howe even gets a shot in on Del Barrio who had gotten up on the apron, before he goes up top and hits the Chart Topper for the win. WINNER: HOWE by pinfall. MY TAKE: The rocker is climbing the charts again and hopes to work his way back into title contention.

The crazy night continued here as Howe was getting out of the ring and the second rope snapped. We had a short break while the ring was fixed. The same thing happened about 6 months ago, I remember, because it was episode #666. A great job by everyone involved to quickly get the ring back together and get the action back in the ring.

The Mixtape appears on screen and Eddie Diamond & Timmy Danger tell everyone that Elvis Pridemoore & Josette Bynum are not "Suckahs of the Week", but to show that the Suckah of the Week applies to everyone, this week it is ring announcer Terry Boddie who they call fat and ugly and say looks like Shrek. (So they are trying to get the fans on their side by making fun of the Fan Advocate and ring announcer? I disagree with that move.)

Crimson makes his way to the ring and looks like he is having a lot of fun. He says he was watching the Mixtape in the back and thinks it's really funny. He said he wishes Terry Boddie was here, because he would've made a little more fun of him. He then asks Eddie Diamond to come out. Diamond, Timmy Danger, and the X2C ladies make their way out. Crimson says they should do a live mixtape. The Wild Cards have came out and enter the ring. Diamond & Danger do a live Mixtape making fun of Raul & Shiloh. As they are doing this, Crimson, who hadn't forgotten that he was last week's "Suckah of the Week" blasts Diamond in the back of the head with his title belt. The Wild Cards then punch Danger, and all 3 beat down Diamond & Danger when Trailer Park Trash's music hits. He comes out with Josie right behind. He tells Crimson he has a suspicion that he was involved with his attack last week. Crimson denies. Trash says that he was the only one missing from ringside last week besides Rob Terry who was taken out by the Wild Cards and is questionable for SNS. Trash decides to put them all in matches tonight. He tells Crimson that he will go 1-on-1 with James "Moose" Thomas, and that the Wild Cards will be up against the Gutcheckers, Sam Shaw & Alex Silva. All of a sudden, the masked attacker comes flying in through the side door with a pipe and ambushes Trash before running back out the side door. Trash yells in pain as officials and some of the locker room come out to check on him. Josie gets in the ring and says she just happened to prepare for a situation like this. She is next in line to take over the show if the Director of Operations can't perform their duties according to the official OVW handbook. She said Trash made some matches, but she thinks they need something extra, and she can make things interesting like when she was in charge. She says the Gutcheckers will now face the Wild Cards and Rudy Switchblade in a 2-on-3 handicap match, and James "Moose" Thomas will face Crimson with the POW's Jack Black as special referee.
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Jamin Olivencia vs. "The Jacked Knight" Joe Coleman [c]. Coleman said Jamin didn't deserve another shot and was just going to leave. Jamin said he won last week by DQ, because Coleman couldn't handle what he was dishing out. He said he also won the opportunity to face him again at a live event over the weekend. Coleman said he didn't deserve another shot and turned to leave, but Jamin jumped out of the ring and grabbed him and threw him in the ring before he could go to the back. Cliff Compton came out on commentary again saying he was still OVW TV Champion. Olivencia was on fire, and it was too much for Coleman to handle again, so he decided to push down the referee and was disqualified. WINNER: OLIVENCIA by DQ, but STILL OVW TELEVISION CHAMPION: COLEMAN. MY TAKE: Coleman escapes again thanks to the DQ rule. He remains TV Champion and although he didn't actually win, will still be doing victory laps.

It was hard to hear, but Taeler Hendrix argued with Taryn Terrell in the back and slapped Dylan for grinning at Taryn. She then asked Dylan to take her dog for a walk so it could use the bathroom. Later, we see Dylan with the dog and he says "Jackpot".

Doug Williams backs out of the curtain with Johnny Spade in pursuit. He tells Spade to hold up and says instead of all the fighting, he has a contract in hand for a wrestling match at the next SNS. Spade says he wants a wrestling match after all the attacks and brawling? Williams says yes and asks him to sign the contract. Williams says as a sign of good faith, he will let him use his back to write on. Spade signs the contract, and Williams asks Spade to return the favor. Spade somewhat reluctantly turns around and Williams grabs him and hits Chaos Theory. He signs the contract and throws it on Spade's face. MY TAKE: Things look like they will finally be settled between Spade & Williams at the December SNS. Who will come out on top of this heated rivalry?

The Wild Cards ("Rudo" Raul LaMotta & Shiloh Jonze) & Rudy Switchblade vs. The Gutcheckers (Sam Shaw & Alex Silva). Before the bell even rings, Rudy pulls Shaw off the apron distracting Silva, which allows Raul & Shiloh to attack him from behind. Silva fights back and gets Rudy in his corner where he tags in Shaw. Shaw takes the brunt of the action for the majority of the match as he gets double and triple teamed with cheap tactics from Rudy & the Wild Cards. Shaw makes the hot tag to Silva, who comes in and lays some shots in on Rudy as he throws Shiloh & Raul both out of the ring. He tags Shaw back in and Shaw hits a backbreaker on Rudy which is followed up by the Silva Surfer from Alex and then Shaw goes up top and hits the cannonball leg drop for the win. WINNERS: GUTCHECKERS by pinfall. MY TAKE: A handicap win for the Gutcheckers which ends with them pinning one half of the current tag champs. Is there any doubt that these 2 talented young stars deserve the next title shot at the Best Team Ever?

Scarlett Bordeaux vs. Taryn Terrell. A back and forth match that went rather quickly. Taryn won after a flying bulldog off the second rope. WINNER: TARYN by pinfall. After the win for Taryn, Dylan Bostic came out with a camera asking Taryn to take a picture. Taryn blew him off, but as she walked out of the ring with her back turned, Taeler came out from behind with a bucket of the dog's "jackpot" from earlier and dumped it over Taryn's head. Taryn screamed as Taeler & Dylan laughed to the back. MY TAKE: It looks like Taeler's master plan is being revealed. Get the title on Taryn, embarrass her into giving her a title shot, win the title. Will these 2 meet at SNS with the title on the line?

As the mess was being cleaned up at ringside, the lights went out and the Assassin's music hit. When they came back on, he took out J. Best who was one of the main ones cleaning up the mess.

In the back, Randy Royal is talking to a couple guys when Josie walks in and says Randy is no longer on the roster and needs to leave or she can have someone escort him out. She tells him not to have a heart attack on the way out.

James "Moose" Thomas vs. Crimson [Special Referee: Jack Black]. Every time Moose started getting the upperhand, Black would break up the moves and cause him to get distracted for Crimson to take the advantage. He kept making slow counts when Moose would go for a pin, and quick counts when Crimson would go for the pin. If Crimson was doing something illegal, Black would get something in his eye. Through all this, Moose kept fighting back. Joe Coleman tried to interfere, but ran right into a Moose Kick. Crimson took advantage and put Moose in a one-legged Boston Crab but Moose got free and put Crimson in a crossface submission. Crimson started tapping right as Black got something in his eye again. He turned around and pulled Moose off. Crimson came after Moose, but Moose ducked and hit a twirling side slam. Black took about 3 seconds to get down on the mat...1......2.........and Crimson kicks out about 15 seconds later before Black finishes the 3 count. Moose is up in Black's face and as he turns around, Crimson catches him in Red Sky for the 123 fast count. WINNER: CRIMSON by pinfall. MY TAKE: Moose had the OVW Champion beat...twice, but thanks to his rivalry with the POW, lost a hard fought battle. Crimson, meanwhile, awaits to find out if Big Rob will make it to SNS.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Match:

"Smooth" Johnny Spade b. Jack Black (w/Joe Coleman). Right off the bat, Coleman grabbed Spade's feet allowing Black to take the early advantage. Black worked over the injured shoulder of Spade following the Chaos Theory he received from Doug Williams earlier. Spade fought back and hit the high knee on Black twice in the corner. Coleman got up on the apron, but Spade hit him with a super kick. Black charged after Spade, but Spade ducked and went for the super kick again, but Black moved and Spade hit referee Josh Ashcraft. Black hit a big slam on Spade, but there was no ref. Black tried to revive the ref as referee Chris Sharpe ran out. As Sharpe was checking on Ashcraft, Moose ran out and delivered a Moose Kick to Black and rolled Spade over on him. Sharpeturned around and counted the 3. MY TAKE: Moose was able to quickly turn around and get a measure of revenge on Black and the POW's. Spade will need to ice his shoulder and prepare for battle with Doug Williams.
