OVWmania Presents: OVW Top 20 (Ed. 26)

This is the OVW Top 20 for the week of October 30-November 5, 2012 exclusively on OVWmania. After last week's Halloween episode and the Saturday Night Special, where do the superstars stack up this week?

#1) CRIMSON (Last Week: #1)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Heavyweight Champion

LAST WEEK: Lost to Rob Terry by DQ at SNS.

*How do you spell Crimson? W-E-A-S-E-L. The champion took the cowardly way out once again at SNS after seeing that his hired help wasn't going to get the job done. Is Crimson free from facing Rob Terry, or will he have to defend against him one more time?

#2) ROB TERRY (Last Week: #2)

LAST WEEK: Defeated Cliff Compton by DQ on Halloween; Defeated Crimson by DQ at SNS.

*The Welsh Colossus remains in the hunt for the OVW Heavyweight Title, and has learned that any attempt to claim the gold comes with outside interference. Will he get one more chance at the belt? If so, will the third time be the charm?

#3) TEAM GUTCHECK: Sam Shaw & Alex Silva (Last Week: #3/6)

LAST WEEK: Defeated Jeremiah Plunkett & "VIP" Joe Rosa on Halloween; Defeated the Wild Cards at SNS.

*Shaw & Silva have quickly became a force in the tag team division as the two young superstars have worked extremely well together and racked up several wins over the past few weeks. Could they be positioning themselves for a future tag title shot, or do they need to first finish off the Wild Cards?

#4) "SMOOTH" JOHNNY SPADE (Last Week: #7)

LAST WEEK: Defeated Tony Gunn on Halloween; Was no-showed by Doug Williams at SNS.

*Spade has a fire inside him right now that the fans have not witnessed before. His main goal is to get his hands on Doug Williams who put out a challenge and then didn't show up at SNS. Spade is looking to super kick Williams' face in, just as he did to VIP and Jose Del Barrio Saturday night.
#5) CLIFF COMPTON (Last Week: #5)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Television Champion

LAST WEEK: Lost to Rob Terry by DQ on Halloween.

*Cliff continues to walk away from his matches as OVW TV Champion, but has yet to win as champion thanks to 2 straight weeks of interference from the Wild Cards in his matches against Alex Silva and Rob Terry. Who will be his next challenger for the gold?

#6) HEIDI LOVELACE (Last Week: #9)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Women's Champion

LAST WEEK: Defeated Taeler Hendrix & Josette Bynum at SNS.

*Heidi was able to defeat 2 former Women's Champions at SNS and you can give an assist to TNA Knockout Referee Taryn Terrell. Heidi is establishing her place at the top of the Women's division, but has many hungry Femme Fatales waiting for their opportunity at the gold.
#7) JAMES "MOOSE" THOMAS (Last Week: #10)

LAST WEEK: Defeated Ace Hawkins at SNS.

*Moose continues to rise as a singles' competitor and has shown that you don't poke fun at his friend, Michael Hayes. Ace Hawkins learned that the hard way, and it looks like Jason Wayne may be the next one in line to learn about being disrespectful.

#8) JASON WAYNE (Last Week: #4)

LAST WEEK: With the Platoon, defeated Elvis Pridemoore, Ryan Howe, & Chris Silvio on Halloween; With the Platoon, lost to the Mascara Mafia & "Chris" at SNS.

*Jason Wayne's Platoon couldn't save him from enemy fire at SNS as Moose kicked him in the head and Chris hit him where the sun don't shine. What will Wayne's plan of attack be as he looks for revenge against Moose?

#9) THE BEST TEAM EVER: Rudy Switchblade & Jessie Godderz (Last Week: #13)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Southern Tag Team Champions

LAST MATCH: Defeated Dylan Bostic & Eddie Diamond at SNS.

*Did Rudy & Jessie plan this all along? If so, it was a brilliant move and it keeps the gold around their waists. It also raises them back up in the Top 10. Who will be next up for them to defend their titles against?

#10) THE MOBILE HOMERS: Ted McNaler & Adam Revolver (Last Week: #8)

LAST WEEK: Both were eliminated from a "Monster Mash" battle royal on Halloween.

*OVW's "Brew Crew" remain in the hunt for tag team gold, but may want to keep Adam away from Brittany Devore's closet when he's had a little bit too much to drink.

#11) MASCARA MAFIA: Paredyse & Espy (Last Week: #14)

LAST WEEK: With Chris, defeated the POW's at SNS.

*Espy & Paredyse were able to get some revenge against Jason Wayne and his men after their show of disrespect and egging Chris. Now that they've won this war, will they set their eyes toward the OVW Southern tag Team Titles?

#12) THE WILD CARDS: Shiloh Jonze & "Rudo" Raul LaMotta (Last Week: #11)

LAST WEEK: Defeated Stephon & Bodyguy on Halloween; Eliminated from the "Monster Mash" battle royal on Halloween; Lost to Team Gutcheck at SNS.

*Raul & Shiloh are doing more damage interfering in matches than they are as actual participants in matches. 2 straight weeks they have helped Cliff Compton retain the TV Title, and distracted Big Rob long enough to give Crimson an advantage at SNS.
#13) DOUG WILLIAMS (Last Week: #12)

LAST WEEK: No-showed a match against Johnny Spade at SNS.

*Williams called out Johnny Spade and challenged him to a match at SNS. Spade showed up, but where was he? Will we find out why he was M.I.A. at SNS this week on OVW TV?

#14) JOSETTE BYNUM (Last Week: #16)

LAST WEEK: Defeated Scarlett Bordeaux on Halloween; Eliminated from a Femme Fatale battle royal on Halloween; Lost in a triple threat match at SNS after Heidi Lovelace pinned Taeler Hendrix.

*Josette wasn't involved in the decision at SNS after Heidi got the pin on Taeler. Will Josette be looking for another shot, or will she go back to focusing on taking out the "Trash"?

#15) THE BLOSSOM TWINS: Hannah & Holly (Last Week: #15)

LAST MATCH: With Jessie Belle & Heidi Lovelace, defeated Epiphany, Taeler Hendrix, Josette Bynum, & Killa Kaila (10/24).

*Hannah & Holly were inactive this past week, but when they are competing it always mean double trouble for their opponents.

#16) JESSIE BELLE (Last Week: #20)

LAST WEEK: Ended in a draw with Epiphany on Halloween; Won a Femme Fatale battle royal on Halloween.

*Jessie had a night of good fortune on Halloween. Can she keep the momentum going and put herself into contention for a shot at the OVW Women's Title? Time will tell, but more wins will only help her cause even more.

#17) DYLAN BOSTIC & EDDIE DIAMOND (Last Week: #17)

LAST WEEK: Were the final 2 in a "Monster Mash" battle royal on Halloween; Lost to the Best Team Ever at SNS.

*White Kryptonite & Pink Dynamite had the momentum going their way at SNS, but a clever ploy by Rudy Switchblade & Jessie Godderz cost them a possible title win. Will they continue to team up and go after the gold?

#18) THE PLATOON: Jack Black & Joe Coleman (Last Week: #19)

LAST WEEK: With Jason Wayne, defeated Ryan Howe, Elvis Pridemoore, & Chris Silvio on Halloween; With Jason Wayne, lost to the Mascara Mafia & Chris at SNS.

*Wayne and the Platoon lost the war against the "Mafia" at SNS. They are going to have to go back to the drawing board and come up with a new strategy, especially now that their leader has an angry "Moose" in their sights.

#19) TAELER HENDRIX (Last Week: NR)

LAST WEEK: Defeated December on Halloween; Eliminated from a Femme Fatale battle royal on Halloween; Lost to Heidi Lovelace in a triple threat match at SNS also featuring Josette Bynum.

*Taeler is a very bossy lady, but that attitude cost her at SNS when she decided to push special ref Taryn Terrell around, only for Taryn to push back. After missing her opportunity to recapture the Women's Title, what will Taeler do next?

#20) ELVIS PRIDEMOORE (Last Week: #18)

LAST WEEK: With Ryan Howe & Chris Silvio, lost to the POW's on Halloween; Eliminated from a "Monster Mash" battle royal on Halloween; With Stephon J. Baxter III, defeated the teams of Raphael Constantine & Bodyguy and Nick Dumeyer & David Vaughn at SNS.

*Elvis had a bad week with 2 losses, and even after a win at SNS, was assassinated by the Assassin. Elvis will have to kick things back in gear to stay on the Top 20.

MISSING THE CUT:
-Chris Silvio
*After spending the last few weeks healing from his battle wounds against Cliff Compton, Silvio returned this week and it will only be a short time before the Top 20 looks Psychedelic again.

-Epiphany
*Never count out Epiphany in the OVW Women's division. The former champion is always hungry for competition.

-Tony Gunn
*Tony's been on the slide and may need a hug from Ralphie for good luck.

KEEP AN EYE ON:
*"VIP" Joe Rosa   *Ryan Howe   *Scarlett Bordeaux
*Stephon J. Baxter III   *Raphael Constantine   *December

  1. Thanks for the rankings. Interesting observation regarding the Femme Fatales. Are the OVW scripters transforming your Ladies Champion into a heel? This is based on her actions in the vignette from two weeks ago and the fact that she did not beat, but rather cheated to retain the title at SNS. It seems like the only constant in this now skewed build up is Josette. So Brian, what do you think? I am 4000 miles away. But you see the action first hand.
