OVW TV #945 "Matrix Drops a Bomb"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, September 27, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. In this episode, Tyler Matrix gets to choose a stipulation for Adam Revolver, a 4 corners tag match to determine new #1 contenders, Rev. Stu defends the OVW TV Title, plus more!

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Legacy of Brutality": Dapper Dan & Ca$h Flo (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) defeat "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson & "Livewire" KTD. Ca$h & Dan attack KTD & Sam before the bell. Sam gets a nasty chop and thrown into Dan's boot by Ca$h. Dan with a big slam. Ca$h with some more nasty chops. Dan splashes Sam in the corner and throws him into a super kick by Ca$h. Dan tags in and misses a kneedrop, elbow drop, and then a splash in the corner. Sam gets the tag to KTD, who dodges a charge from Ca$h, who goes crashing into the turnbuckle. KTD & Sam drop toehold Ca$h into the turnbuckle, then deliver forearms to Ca$h & Dan in opposite corners and dropkick them into each other. KTD & Sam both leap off the top rope, but are both caught. Dan hits a Death Valley Driver on Sam, and Ca$h hits a backbreaker on KTD. Ca$h & Dan then hit the Final Chapter on KTD for the 3. After the match, Josh attacks KTD.

Big Zo defeats Willie Cranium. Zo with a side headlock. Cranium throws him off the ropes, but runs into a shoulder block from Zo. Zo misses a roundhouse kick, but Zo comes back and slams him. He misses a legdrop and Cranium makes Zo chase him. Zo gets kicked as he enters the ring and Cranium splashes him in the corner. He goes for another, but Zo catches him and hits a nice belly-to-belly suplex. Zo with a Zo train and powerslam. He goes up and hits the Zo Bomb for the 3.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles (c) defeats "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd by DQ. Before the match, David Lee Lorenze III comes out and tells Randall that this should be his match and asks what he's doing coming out to his own music. Randall says he doesn't need him anymore. David says he can't quit, but Randall says he doesn't quit, he is firing David! Randall attacks Stu, splashes him in the corner, and hits a bulldog for 2. He clubs Stu across the back and Stu starts to fire back, but runs into a big clothesline for 2. Randall chokes him in the ropes. Off the ropes, Stu goes around him and rolls him up in a crucifix pin for 2. Randall comes back and hits Stu in the corner, but misses a charge. Stu comes back with some healing and a flying shoulder tackle. Randall comes back and takes Stu down, but David runs back out and hits Stu to cause a DQ and cost Randall the match. David says that's what he gets for firing him.

Gilbert Corsey brings out Adam Revolver with Shannon the Dude. Adam & STD want to know what mindless stipulation Tyler Matrix has chosen for Adam's match tonight. Adam demands to know right now. Justin Smooth comes out and says he is tired of Revolver and all his nonsense and is making this his business right now.

Matrix comes out and says as much as he'd like to do a "Shannon on a Pole" match, because we all know how much Shannon likes poles, or a 60-minute iron man match outdoors so Adam's pasty butt would get burned, he has a better idea. Tonight, it will be Adam vs. Smooth in a powerbomb match! Adam says no, you can't pick the opponent too.

Dean Hill comes out and says he likes it, and books it for the main event.

4 CORNERS TAG TEAM #1 CONTENDERS MATCH: "The Void": Damion & Chace Destiny defeat "The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson, Aloicious Hamilton & Billy O, and "The Bad Boys Club": "Double R Superstar" Randy Royal & "Bad Boy" Shane Andrews (w/"Bad Girl" Jessie Belle). Shane starts out with Chace and takes him down. Royal with some chops and a slam. Billy tags himself in. Him & Aloicious are in control, but the Bros cause a distraction. Colton low blows Alo, and Dustin takes out Billy's knee as Billy had Damion on his shoulders. Billy crashes down and Damion gets the 3 to eliminate Alo & Billy. The Bros are then taken out by the BBC after they hit the samoan drop/frog spalsh combo to Dustin. Chace attacks Randy from behind, and Randy is worked over for a bit. He has a rear chinlock locked in, but Randy hits a chinbuster, then a backstabber in the corner. He gets the tag to Shane who takes it to both men. Damion grabs a chair, but Jessie pulls it away and Randy clotheslines him on the floor. Inside, Shane gets rolled up by Chace with a handful of tights for the 3!

"The River City Dragon" Logan James defeats David Lee Lorenze III (w/OVW Women's Champion Jaylee). David ties up with LJ into the corner and hits some kicks. He misses a clothesline, and LJ back with some fists and kicks. LJ goes for a suplex, but David flips over and hits a neckbreaker. He misses an elbow drop. LJ connects with a pele kick to the head. David hits LJ in the face and goes for the Director's Cut, but LJ grbas the ropes. He pulls him away from the ropes and LJ knees him in the face to break loose. He hits some flying forearms, and a blue thunder bomb. He goes up top, but Jaylee is on the apron. David hits the ropes. David goes out and grabs his trophy. Randall Floyd comes out and follows David into the ring. He hits him with the Deal Breaker while the ref is distracted by Jaylee. LJ then kicks Randall out of the ring. LJ goes up and hits the frog splash for 3.
After the match, Randall gets in David's face and says he cost him the title earlier. Jaylee gets in between and Randall grabs her. LJ gets back in and exchanges blows with Randall.

Rev. Stu runs out and goes to hit Randall, but accidentally clocks LJ with the TV Title.

POWERBOMB MATCH: "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth defeats Adam Revolver (w/Shannon the Dude). Adam locks up into the corner and hits Smooth in the gut. Smooth comes back firing and heaves Adam across the ring. He goes for the powerbomb, but Adam slides out. STD distracts Smooth, and Adam hits him from behind. Smooth regains control and grabs STD. He goes to powerbomb him, but Adam takes out his knee from behind. Adam continues to work over the leg and hit it off the apron. He drags Smooth to the outside. Smooth comes back and bounces Adam's head off the apron. He goes to get in, but STD grabs his leg. Adam hits him in the stomach then slides through and tries to powerbomb him off the apron to the floor. Smooth holds on, but Adam hits his knee. Adam locks in the sleeper. He goes for a powerbomb, but Smooth fights out. He hits a clothesline and a bicycle kick. He goes for a powerbomb, but Apollo runs out and pulls referee Stephon Smith out of the ring and hits him. Smooth goes for a powerbomb again, but Tony Gunn & Michael Hayes run out and attack him. The ref calls for the bell, but Adam says this is a no disqualification match.

Hayes & Gunn attempt to help Adam with a powerbomb, but Smooth flips Adam off and knocks out Gunn & Hayes. He grabs Adam and delivers a powerbomb for the win.
After the match, Gunn, Hayes, & Adam attack Smooth. Tyler Matrix comes out to help and goes after Adam. Hayes & Gunn then attack him and they hold him for Adam to hit him with the Radio Title.

Smooth tries to help, but Hayes takes him down with the mandible claw.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

OVW WOMEN'S TITLE TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: Jaylee (c) defeats Cali & Torey Payne. A quick match. Jaylee & Torey double team Cali, hitting a double suplex, but fight over the pin. Cali hits a DDT on Torey, but before she can pin, Jaylee hits Cali with a facebuster for 3.

OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "The Winter Swoldier" Adam Slade & Kevin Giza (w/Lukas Gibson) defeat Dre Blitz & Apollo "Showtime" Garvin. Apollo & Blitz attack Slade & Giza. Giza & Slade fire back and Giza has Apollo down in the corner. Giza charges in, but Apollo begs him to stop and talk about this, only to plant him face first into the middle turnbuckle. Giza is worked over by Apollo & Blitz. Apollo goes for the full nelson slam, but Giza slides out and kicks Apollo in the back and hits a knee to the head. Both men tag, and Slade comes in with a forearm and uppercut to Blitz. He brings Giza back to double hip toss Blitz. Slade tags Giza, and they hit their finisher for the 3.
