OVW TV #946: "Tyler's Last Stand?"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, October 4, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. In this episode, Chace Destiny represents the Void against Kevin Giza, the 4 participants of the TV Title match are in tag team action against each other, Tyler Matrix & Big Smooth face Adam Revolver, Michael Hayes, & Tony Gunn, plus more!

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Bad Boys Club": "Double R Superstar" Randy Royal & "Bad Boy" Shane Andrews (w/"Bad Girl" Jessie Belle) defeat "The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson. Shane with control against Dustin early. Randy tags in and drop toeholds Dustin, and Shane boots him in the face. Randy chops Dustin and is in control until being kicked in the back by Colton on the apron. The Bros take control and work over Randy. Randy is choked in the ropes and splashed in the corner by Dustin. Colton causes a distraction to double team Randy. Randy is thrown to the corner, but reverses, and hits a backstabber on Dustin. He makes the tag to Shane, and Shane fires away on both Bros. Randy gets back in and hits a samoan drop on Dustin, and Shane rolls Colton up and gets the 3.

"Livewire" KTD defeats Willie Cranium. KTD with a quick start, but Cranium comes back and takes control. He works KTD over and splashes him in the corner. He chokes him in the ropes and headbutts him. He snapmares him and misses an elbow drop. KTD with some kicks to the leg and the gut. He hits a dropkick for 2. Cranium catches KTD with a shot to the throat. He goes for another splash in the corner and misses. KTD with a hip toss and locks in the cross armbreaker for the tapout.

Houdini defeats Damion. A quick match that has a special lap around the ring from Adam Slade. Damion has the quick start working over Houdini, but Houdini comes back with a clothesline, running cross body, and gets a sunset flip for 3.

OVW Television Champion "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles & "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd defeat "The River City Dragon" Logan James & David Lee Lorenze III (w/OVW Women's Champion Jaylee). Randall has control early over LJ & David and tags in Stu. Stu & Randall double hip toss David. David tags out to LJ. LJ fires away on Stu and goes up for a frog splash, but David tags himself back in. Stu heals David and hits 2 out of 3 amigos, but David reverses and hits a neckbreaker on the last attempt. Both men tag. Randall & LJ are in, and LJ fires away on Randall and hits a pele kick. Randall charges back at LJ, but LJ moves and Randall spears David off the apron. Both Randall & David are on the outside, and LJ goes flying out on both of them. He rolls Randall in and goes up for the frog splash, but Stu "accidentally" shakes the ropes trying to get Randall to tag. LJ falls, and Randall hits him with the Deal Breaker for the 3.

Ted McNaler brings out Apollo. Apollo says that a ref's job used to be just to count 1, 2, 3. Stephon Smith has taken it much further and abuses his power. So he will teach Stephon a lesson at the SNS, but first wants to give a preview of what he is getting into. He wants a ref out here now. Ted says that no other refs are licensed to wrestle.

Apollo brings out Sam Thompson and tells him to put on a ref shirt. As Sam goes to put it on, Apollo attacks him and beats him down. Referees David Crowe & Charlene run out and Apollo chases them away. Stephon runs out and hits Apollo and goes for the Rump Thump, but Apollo shoves Sam into it.

Stephon and the other refs help Sam up as Apollo escapes.

"Team Billyocious": Aloicious Hamilton & Billy O defeat "The Legacy of Brutality": Dapper Dan & Ca$h Flo (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft). Aloicious is worked over early and often by the Legacy. He gets chopped by Ca$h, and Josh gets in some shots from the outside. He flips over Ca$h and crawls between his legs to get the tag to Billy. Billy hits both LOB members with back elbows, dropkicks, and high knees in the corner. He goes to bulldog Ca$h out of the corner, but Josh grabs his leg. Billy gets sandwiched between Ca$h & Dan, and Dan goes to hit Billy, but nails Ca$h instead. They argue and Josh tries to get in the ring.

The Bro Godz run out and throw Alo into the steel steps. Colton gets in and hits the scissor kick on Billy, but the ref turns and sees it and calls for the DQ.
After the match, Josh snaps and starts attacking a knocked out Billy O, and Dan has to pull him off.

Chace Destiny (w/Damion) defeats Kevin Giza (w/"The Winter Swoldier" Adam Slade). Giza has the momentum early until Damion gets involved. Chace catches Giza off the top with a spinebuster. Giza starts to regain control as Slade blasts through Damion with his shield on the outside. With the ref distracted by Slade & Damion, Jade Dawson returns and kicks Giza and hits him with the snap DDT. Chace covers for the 3.

"The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth, Big Jon, & "The Young Lion" Tyler Matrix defeat Adam Revolver, Michael Hayes, & "Shotgun" Tony Gunn. Tyler with a hot start, then things break down quick and all 6 men are fighting. Jon, Smooth, & Tyler take their opponents down and out. They fight on the outside and Jon rolls Adam in. Jon goes for a chokeslam, but Gunn takes out his knee. Jon gets triple teamed in the corner behind the ref's back as he keeps Tyler & Smooth in their corner. Jon's knee is worked over for a good portion of the match. Jon kicks Adam and makes a tag, but the ref was distracted and Jon has to stay in. Adam locks in the Figure Four and gets some assistance from his teammates. Tyler & Smooth go around and knock Gunn & Hayes out and Jon finally tags Smooth after Adam knocks Tyler off the apron. Smooth hits Street Justice on Adam, Gunn hits the reverse DDT on Smooth, Jon chokeslams Gunn, Hayes hits the facebuster off the knee on Jon, Tyler hits Hayes with an Attitude Adjustment, but Adam gets in the ring with a chair and blasts Tyler in the back. The ref calls for the DQ. Jon & Smooth fight with Gunn & Hayes out the side door, while Adam locks in a sleeper on Tyler in the ring and leaves him laying. Adam says that's exactly what will happen at the Special, that Matrix will be left laying, and Adam will be the last man standing!

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Cali defeats Jaylee (w/David Lee Lorenze III). A quick back and forth match. Cali gets the win after an inside cradle. After the match, Jaylee attacks Cali and hits her with her finisher.

"The Winter Swoldier" Adam Slade (w/Kevin Giza) defeats "The Prince of Darkness" Jade Dawson (w/"The Void": Chace Destiny & Damion). Slade locks up with Jade in the corner and does a clean break. Jade calls the Void up on the apron. Giza pulls Damion off, and Slade hits Chace off, but Jade hits Slade from behind. Jade takes control, but Slade comes back with uppercuts. He misses a third, and Jade hits him with a flying clothesline off the top. They exchange blows, and Slade hits a spinning faceplant for 2. Jade comes back after a distraction and hits a faceplant for 2. Slade hits the Swoldier Slam, but the Void runs in and attacks before the 3. Giza gets in and they run the Void off and hit a series of kicks to Damion.
