OVW TV 1131: Making Big Moves!

This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, April 13, 2021. OVW TV can be seen LIVE at 8PM ET on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area with repeats Saturday nights at 9PM, and you can also watch via 
Youtube, Roku, Thursdays at 7PM on FITE or Friday nights at 12AM Midnight on YTA! OVW Overdrive can be seen on Saturdays at 11AM on WBNA-21.

In this episode, William Lutz faces D'mone Solavino in a "Pillar to Post" match, Mahabali Shera is in action, the former tag champions The Tate Twins are back in action, plus much more!

OVW Overdrive (Airing Saturdays at 11AM):

Eric Cornish & AJ McKay are on commentary, and the ring announcer is Ms. Stephanie.

Before the show, there was a special moment of silence for longtime fan Donna Payton, who just recently passed away.

"The Legacy of Brutality"
: Big Zo & Steve Michaels (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. "The Mercenary" Garrisaon Creed & Blake "Money" Wright
.
Creed tries to go after Zo's arm and tags in Blake. Blake runs into a brick wall off the ropes going into Zo. Zo slings Blake across the ring and he tags Creed. Creed gets taken down and tags Blake as Zo tags Steve. Steve clotheslines Blake and chokes him in the ropes. He chokes him in the corner with his boot and tags Zo. Zo stomps him and tags Steve back in. Steve with some hard chops, then a big slam. Blake gets a hot tag to Creed. He fires away on Steve and hits a running boot to the head. He misses a charge in the corner as Zo pulls Blake off the ring apron. He gets in and double chokeslams Creed with Steve and they get the 1-2-3.
WINNERS: LEGACY by pinfall.

Jake Omen vs. "Mr. Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels
.
Quick start by AJ, but Omen trips him up as he goes to leap in after a kick to the head from the apron. He knees him in the side and stretches him out. Omen with a knee to the midsection several times off the ropes. He squeezes him in a submission on the mat, but AJ starts to fire out. He connects with a kick to the head. He hits a neckbreaker drop, then hits a dropkick in the corner. Omen reverses a throw, but AJ leaps over him and trips him up. He hits the Countdown Kicks, then goes for the Zero Gravity Kick. Omen catches his foot, but AJ leaps through and connects with another kick to the head to get the 3.
WINNER: DANIELS by pinfall.

Brandon Espinosa vs. The Gilpinator
.
Espy headbutts him and throws him into the corner. He headbutts him again. He chokes him in the ropes and hits him with a back elbow. He hits a cross body and pounds Gilp on the mat. Gilp tries to fire back off the ropes with a dropkick, but then gets caught leaping out of the corner. Espy catches him with a roundhouse kick, then connects with the brainbuster for the 3.
WINNER: ESPINOSA by pinfall.

Heath Hatton vs. "Rockstar" Ryan Howe
.
Howe goes right after the arm. Heath catches him with a dropkick, then charges him in the corner. He hits a running kick. Howe pulls his arm across the top rope. Heath catches him with a Samoan Drop. Howe drops him and stomps him in the midsection. Heath with a 360 slam for 2. Howe with an uppercut and the neckbreaker drop for the 3.
WINNER: HOWE by pinfall.

"Superior"
 Tony Evans & KarDaniel "Demolition" Dunn vs. Gustavo & Star Rider
.
Dunn & Evans ambush their opponents before the bell, but off the ropes, each connect with a hurricanrana. Dunn knocks Gustavo out of the ring, then Evans plows down Star. They work him over in the corner. Dunn with a backdrop. Evans tags in and clotheslines him in the corner, then slams Star down after having him up in a vertical suplex position. Dunn pulls Gustavo off the apron as he gets close to the tag. Evans brings him back to his corner and tags Dunn. Dunn with a gutwrench slam. Star slides out of a hold by Dunn and connects with a nice dropkick. Both men make the tag. Gustavo fires away on both Evans & Dunn. He hits an enziguri, then a cross body off the top. Evans catches him with a smack to the face. Star makes a blind tag and Gustavo connects with his finisher. Star leaps off the top with the Five Star Frog Splash for the 3.
WINNERS: STAR & GUSTAVO by pinfall.

"Big Money"
 Dimes vs. "Suplex Shogun" Jackson Stone
.
Stone plows Dimes down and runs into a boot in the corner. Dimes holds onto the ropes and Stone drops him face first on the mat. Stone misses a charge and Dimes clubs him in the back, but it doesn't even faze Stone. Stone with a release German suplex. Dimes distracts Stone and the ref by pulling a spoon out of the protein powder jug. As the ref goes to put it away, Dimes throws some of the powder into Stone's eyes and connects with the Change Maker for the 3.
WINNER: DIMES by pinfall.

"The Box Office Blonds"
: "Hollywood" Adam Swayze & "Co-Star" Rex vs. "The Mayan Mauler" Drew Hernandez & "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo
.
Adam & Rex take control early working over Drew's arm. Bizo tags in and gets worked over in the corner. He gets a hot tag to Drew. Drew fires away on both of them, knocking Adam off the apron, then hitting Rex with a massive spinebuster. Off the ropes, he knocks Bizo to the floor by accident. He then runs into a big boot from Rex for the 3.
WINNERS: BOX OFFICE BLONDS by pinfall.
After the match, the Box Office Blonds go to beat up on Drew some more. Bizo walks away, but Dustin Jackson runs out to come to Drew's aid. After disposing of the Blonds, Drew clotheslines Dustin! He tells Dustin he doesn't need his help and didn't ask for it.

Reverend Ronnie Roberts is out for the Good Word. Captain Caribbean is the special guest. Ronnie says he looks familiar, as does his jacket. He doesn't understand why he's trying to fool the people. Caribbean says he just debuted last week and doesn't understand all the attention. Josh Ashcraft comes out with Ca$h Flo. Josh says he's not fooling them, they aren't stupid. Ca$h pays off the Reverend and takes the mic.
He asks Caribbean if he needs money for his wife or his daughter. Josh shoves Caribbean and tells him to listen. Caribbean pushes back and Ca$h attacks. Ca$h tries to pull off the mask, but Caribbean jaw jacks him and clotheslines him out
!

"The Wayward Warrior"
 Jared Kripke & JC Addams vs. "The Tate Twins": Brandon & Brent.
The Tates take the fight to JC. They hit an eat de-feet, but Kripke breaks up a pin. He gets a hot tag and takes it to the Tates. The Tates manage to regain control, hitting Kripke with a backstabber, a codebreaker, then a double faceplant for the 3.
WINNERS: TATES by pinfall.

Blake "Money" Wright vs. "The Indian Lion" Mahabali Shera.
Shera goes right after Blake, hitting him with a big boot. He then takes him down with the Sky High for the 3.
WINNER: SHERA by pinfall.
After the match, Tom Coffey comes out and says to cut the music. He says it's not a matter of if, but when he comes for Shera, he won't stop. He's not the only animal here! 

Al Snow
is out with a huge announcement. He says thanks to the support of the fans, they have signed a huge TV deal which means a move to Thursday nights (starting May 6). We will show the state, the country, and the world why OVW is the best wrestling going today! Luscious Lawrence & Haley J interrupt. Luscious has the briefcase he won painted with "Mr. Juicy in the Bank".
Jessie Godderz & Tony Gunn
interrupt. Jessie says he heard something about the "face" of OVW, so he came out. Luscious is ready to cash in his chance now to fight Jessie. Jessie asks if he wants to face a champ? He tells Tony to get in the ring. Tony says Jessie can't make the matches. Al says he can. Tony says he's not out to wrestle, he's wearing Kal Herro's "loser boots". Al says oh well, and makes the match...
"Shotgun"
 Tony Gunn (w/"Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz & Shannon the Dude) vs. "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence (w/Women's Champion "Hollyhood" Haley J).
Tony has the early control, taking Luscious down and chopping him in the corner. A distraction by Haley allows Luscious to catch Tony with a powerslam. Luscious starts to fire up. He hits an atomic drop and a butt butt. He hits the powerslam after Jessie accidentally trips Tony and Jessie gets in to break up the pin.
WINNER: LUSCIOUS by DQ.
After the match, Jessie chokes Luscious with the tag belt and stomps him in the corner. Haley gets in and jumps on Jessie's back. Tony gets up and helps pull Haley off. Luscious throws Tony out of the ring, then attacks Jessie. He hits a butt butt and powerslams him. Jessie rolls out and Tony tries to get back in, but Luscious butt butts him off the apron onto Jessie on the floor.

PILLAR TO POST MATCH: 
"The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino vs. William Lutz.
Lutz attacks D'mone on the ramp. They fight around the outside. Lutz gets shoved into the ringpost. Lutz avoids D'mone and locks in a submission with D'mone's back pressed into the turnbuckle. D'mone low blows him and grabs a chair. Lutz headbutts him in the gut and fires away. D'mone trips him up and hits his leg off the apron. He tries to pull him around the post, but Lutz pulls him into the post face first. D'mone goes after the knee and locks a submission around the ringpost, but Lutz bites his fingers to get him to release. Lutz hits D'mone across the back with the chair a couple times, then wraps him around the ringpost in the submission for the 10 count.
WINNER: LUTZ by submission.

POST-SHOW DARK MATCH:

National & Tag Team Champion "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz (w/Shannon the Dude) vs. Dustin Jackson.
Jessie tries a quick roll-up with tights, but the ref sees it and refuses to count. They lock up and Jessie pulls him into the corner by his tights. Jessie with a side headlock takedown. In the ropes, STD chokes Dustin while Jessie has the ref distracted. Dustin reverses a side headlock. He takes Jessie to the mat. Jessie throws Dustin off the ropes and STD trips him. Jessie stomps him. Off the ropes, Dustin fires back with a clothesline and a dropkick. He hits a running boot to the side of the head. Dustin sets him on the top turnbuckle and knees him in the midsection. He goes up top and hits a flying body press for 2. Dustin takes him down again and goes up top, but STD trips him and Dustin falls across the top turnbuckle. Jessie slams him off the top rope and covers for 2. Jessie charges, but Dustin side steps him and Jessie goes shoulder first into the ringpost. Dustin rolls him up for 2 as Jessie barely squirms out. Dustin with a knee to the face. Off the ropes, Jessie catches him with a spear and gets the 3.
WINNER: GODDERZ by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.
