OVW TV #684: "Pop Goes the Weasel"

Tonight at the Davis Arena, Rob Terry was searching for Crimson, Alex Silva defended the OVW TV Title, the tag team division remains hot, the Femme Fatales were in action, and it was possibly the final night for the "Starmaker" Kenny Bolin..

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Match:

Adam Revolver (w/Ted McNaler & Brittany Devore) b. Jeremiah Plunkett. Plunkett called Adam a skinny punk and threw him down a couple times. He put Adam in a headlock and worked him over for a bit. Brittany gave Adam the rocket fuel, and he took a swig and came back on fire. He hit a dropkick and finished him off with a russian leg sweep for the pin. MY TAKE: The rocket fuel helps again as the Mobile Homers look toward their future encounter with the Best Team Ever.

That was tonight's only pre-show dark match. I always suggest watching the show first before reading my full report. You can find the shows posted online late Thursday afternoons/evenings at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

OVW TV #683: "It's Clear To Me Now"

Tonight at the Davis Arena, Rob Terry was partners with who? Plus, Alex Silva defended the OVW TV Title, the new Women's Champion Heidi Lovelace was in action, and the tag team division continues to heat up.

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Match:

Moose & Michael Hayes b. Jeremiah Plunkett & Raphael Constantine. Constantine started with Moose, and twice tried to kick him, but didn't faze him and hurt his own foot. Moose & Michael tagged in and out with Constantine in the corner, taking turns giving him some shots. Constantine finally got away and tagged in Plunkett. Moose took him down and tagged in Michael. Plunkett was able to take advantage and kept Michael grounded. He tagged Constantine back in and Constantine worked over Michael for a while until tagging Plunkett back in. Michael was able to fight back and each made the tag to Constantine and Moose. Moose came in on fire, and Plunkett & Constantine tried to double team him to no avail. Michael got back up and hit the kneebuster to the face of Plunkett as Moose put Constantine in a variation of the Crossface for the tapout victory. MY TAKE: Moose & Michael remain hungry for their chance to once again fight for the tag team gold, but will they get the next opportunity?

OVW TV #682: "Championship Changes"

Tonight at the Davis Arena, we had two title defenses. Which championships were on the line and which ones changed hands? Plus, what does the OVW landscape now look like heading into the next Saturday Night Special on October 6?

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:
Rob Terry b. Eddie Diamond (w/"The Hype Man" Timmy Danger). Terry charged after Diamond twice, but Diamond ducked under him both times. Diamond posed, but turned around into Terry's grasp. Terry ran him into the corner as Danger got up on the apron. Terry got distracted and Diamond tried to jump on his back, but basically ran into a brick wall. He ran off the ropes and tried to jump on Terry again, but was caught and side slammed for the pin. MY TAKE: Big Rob continues to destroy everything in his path as he works toward his goal of once again becoming Heavyweight Champion.

Taeler Hendrix (w/Dylan Bostic) b. Jessie Belle. Taeler argued with Jessie in the middle of the ring before putting her hand up. Jessie grabbed her hand and bit it. They went back and forth with roll ups. Jessie got Taeler and threw her into the corner. She charged Taeler and hit her with a butt bump. She tried a second time, but Taeler caught her and took her down by her legs. She then went for the pin and got the 3 with her feet on the ropes and an assist from Dylan helping to hold her feet. MY TAKE: Taeler, by hook or by crook, finally got back on the winning track this week. Can she thwart off the competition in the Women's division when they come after her title?

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always suggest watching the show first before reading my full report. You can find the shows posted online late Thursday afternoons/evenings at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

OVWmania Presents: OVW Top 20 (Ed. 18)

***Before we get into tonight's Top 20, please take a second and send your prayers and well wishes to WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling legend, Jerry "the King" Lawler, who collapsed at ringside during WWE RAW tonight. OVWmania hopes "Kingfish" is okay and recovers 100%***

OVW TV #681: "Big Rob Blames Who?"

Tonight at the Davis Arena, we had the fallout from SNS. Rob Terry was angry about lasting for over an hour in the Nightmare Rumble only to be eliminated, but who was the focus of his frustrations?

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:
Elvis Pridemoore (w/Bobbi Bardot) b. VIP. A very sloppy match, and the crowd was dead for this opening contest. VIP controlled most of the offense early, but Elvis came back and rolled VIP up for the pin. MY TAKE: I wonder if we will ever see any more interaction between Bobbi & Raphael Constantine, especially now that she is coming out with Elvis and pimping his CD.

Epiphany b. "Bodyguy" Max Wolfgang. Bodyguy came out and said he was going to prove why his beautiful body belonged in Ohio Valley Wrestling. He then issued an open challenge that was answered by Epiphany. Epiphany kicked him in the gut and then hit a massive slam for the pin, and this match was over quick. MY TAKE: Epiphany doesn't mess around! Man or woman, Epiphany is a tough competitor in the ring.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always suggest watching the show first before reading my full report. You can find the shows posted online late Thursday afternoons/evenings at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
