This
is the OVW Top 20 for the week of December 4-10, 2012
exclusively on
OVWmania. After last week's TV featuring the fallout from SNS, we have a lot of movement on this week's rankings. Where does the talent stack up this week?
CURRENT TITLES: OVW Heavyweight Champion
LAST WEEK: With Moose, defeated Crimson & Jason Wayne.
LAST WEEK: With Moose, defeated Crimson & Jason Wayne.
*The Welsh Colossus holds on to the top spot after a big tag team win. The good news for Crimson is that Rob now has a badly injured knee. The bad news is that Rob still has a leg to stand on. How will the knee affect Big Rob's in-ring ability?
LAST WEEK: With Jason Wayne, lost to Rob Terry & Moose.
*Crimson's ability to weasel around and do damage is unreal. His belief in a "strength in numbers" has only grown stronger after aligning with the Platoon of Wayne. How badly did he injure Big Rob? Does this set him up for an easy opportunity at reclaiming the OVW Heavyweight Title?
#3) THE GUTCHECKERS: Sam Shaw & Alex Silva (Last Week: #2)
CURRENT TITLES: OVW Southern Tag Team Champions
LAST WEEK: Defeated the Mascara Mafia; With Johnny Spade, lost to Doug Williams & the Best Team Ever.
LAST WEEK: Defeated the Mascara Mafia; With Johnny Spade, lost to Doug Williams & the Best Team Ever.
*The young IMPACT stars aren't afraid of any challenge and will undoubtedly learn not to trust Jessie Godderz or Rudy Switchblade. They will be defending their titles against them once again at the next SNS with revenge on their minds after being attacked last week.
LAST WEEK: With Doug Williams, defeated the Gutcheckers & Johnny Spade.
*The
Best Team Ever wants to prove their team name stands for something. They used their mind games to fool the Gutcheckers last week and make a statement that they are coming back after the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles.
CURRENT TITLES: OVW Television Champion
LAST WEEK: Defeated "VIP" Joe Rosa.
LAST WEEK: Defeated "VIP" Joe Rosa.
*The TV Champion isn't looking to jump off a "Cliff", but on one after being hit from behind with a crutch. What will happen when Jamin meets up with Mr. Compton next week on OVW TV? The results probably won't be pretty.
#6) JAMES "MOOSE" THOMAS (Last Week: #4)
LAST WEEK: With Rob Terry, defeated Crimson & Jason Wayne.
*Wrestling's biggest free agent is ready for war with the newly aligned Crimson Army & Platoon of Wayne. After watching his friend Rob Terry get his knee taken out, Moose will be ready to boot some heads off this week.
#7) DOUG WILLIAMS (Last Week: #6)
LAST WEEK: With the Best Team Ever, defeated Johnny Spade & the Gutcheckers.
*Williams is the master of grappling and will not let you forget that he successfully defeated Johnny Spade at the last SNS. He had better keep his eyes out for the Smooth One, though. Spade is superkicking everyone in sight.
CURRENT TITLES: OVW Women's Champion
LAST WEEK: N/A.
*The fiery redhead has shown in the past that she will do anything to keep her belt. Her next challenge will come from another redhead in Jessie Belle. She might have an advantage, though. Who wants to wrestle someone with...what's that smell?
LAST
WEEK: With Crimson, lost to Moose & Rob Terry.
*The field commander is deploying all strategies to take himself and his Platoon to the top. Now aligned with Crimson and the Wild Cards, he has put together a force to be reckoned with. Who can stop Wayne and his new allies?
LAST WEEK: N/A.
#11) CLIFF COMPTON (Last Week: #10)
LAST
WEEK: N/A.
*Cliff is still the OVW TV Champion...in his own mind. He wasn't at the Davis Arena last week, but sent word that he would be back next week to fix the "sham" that is going on with Jamin posing as champion. Who is the real TV Champion?
#12) "SMOOTH" JOHNNY SPADE (Last Week: #7)
LAST WEEK: With the Gutcheckers, lost to Doug Williams & the Best Team Ever.
*Spade's anger seems to have gotten the best of him and it's distracting him and causing him to drop in the rankings. Superkicking referees and walking out on your partners during matches won't get the job done. Spade's going to have to do something to refocus.
#13) JESSIE BELLE (Last Week: NR)
LAST WEEK: Defeated Heidi Lovelace to become #1 contender.
*Jessie Belle makes a huge jump into the rankings by defeating a former OVW Women's Champion and becoming the #1 contender. She now awaits Taeler Hendrix and her opportunity to claim the gold that currently sits around Taeler's waist.
#14) THE WILD CARDS: Shiloh Jonze & "Rudo" Raul LaMotta (Last Week: #17)
LAST
WEEK: N/A.
*Crimson's
Army added to their collection of dirty tricks last week after helping their mentor take out Rob Terry's knee with a steel chair. They are quick to help out Crimson, but what's in it for them? Crimson must have something up his sleeve to get them to follow along to all his schemes.
#15) MASCARA MAFIA: Paredyse & Espy (Last Week: #14)
LAST WEEK: Lost to the Gutcheckers.
*An awesome back and forth match Paredyse & Espy had last week with Sam Shaw & Alex Silva, but they came up just short of winning and getting the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles. Paredyse & Espy make great "partners" and will undoubtedly get another opportunity in the future.
LAST
WEEK: Revealed as Trailer Park Trash's Mystery Attacker.
*The long time veteran has been hired by Josette Bynum "to take out the Trash". He is a former OVW Heavyweight, Hardcore, and Southern Tag Team Champion, including a couple times with TPT. Will he succeed in his mission to rid OVW of Trash?
LAST WEEK: Defeated Stephon J. Baxter III.
*E.F.D. makes his solo debut in the Top 20 after being on a bit of a roll as of late. He has incurred the wrath of Crimson recently, but hasn't let that stop him. Lately, he and his hype man, Timmy Danger, have been asking fans to tweet their opinions on who should be Suckah of the Year.
LAST
WEEK: Defeated Ace Hawkins.
*The big man has been piling up some wins after knocking out his competitors with what he considers the best right in the business. Can he keep the momentum going?
-Heidi Lovelace
*The former Women's Champ has been mired in a recent slump and needs to turn things around.
*Due to the movement in this week's Top 20, Tony fell out following a loss last week. That will probably make Ralphie "beary" unhappy.
-Ryan Howe
*Howe had been on a small wining streak, but one week of inactivity costs him a spot on this week's rankings.
KEEP AN EYE ON:
-Kid Kash
*Jason Wayne had recruited Kash to be a member of the Platoon, but he has gone AWOL.
-Trailer Park Trash
*Trash's feud with Flash could cause the Director of Operations to make an entrance into the Top 20.
-Chris Silvio
*The Psychedelic Superstar remains inactive.
NEXT WEEK'S TOP 20 WILL BE A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS EDITION!
***Thanks to "Mr. SC" for his votes/contributions to this week's rankings.***
