Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Match:

Jeremiah Plunkett vs. "The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal (w/Tony Gunn).
Plunkett & Royal lock up. Randy with a drop toehold on Plunkett. Royal slams him and locks on an armbar. Plunkett gets him in the corner where he breaks free and tries to throw Royal into the opposite corner. Royal reverses and rolls Plunkett up for 2. Plunkett kicks out and Royal hits the turnbuckle. They exchange chops. Plunkett charges Royal in he corner, but Royal moves. Plunkett hits the corner and Royal fires away and wins after hitting the knockout forearm for 3.
WINNER: ROYAL by pinfall.
MY TAKE: Royal with a nice win as he looks to get back in the TV Title hunt.

That was tonight's only pre-show dark match. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

The Coalition comes out to start the show and Crimson calls out Doug Williams. He says they had an agreement to fight for the title anytime, anywhere. Doug says he's not ready, but give him time to stretch, and they'll have the match later tonight. After Doug leaves, Jason Wayne has Jack Black, Raul LaMotta, Joe Coleman, & Shiloh Jonze state why they joined the Coalition. Black says to rid OVW of terrorists, Raul says to send illegals back to where they came from, Coleman says to keep terrorists off American soil, and Shiloh says to "kill 'em all". Ghillie is asked and motions that he's on the lookout.

In the back, Doug Williams tries to recruit Jay Bradley to watch his back against the Coalition. Shiloh & Raul walk up and Doug says he is just getting acquainted with the new guy.

"Mr. VIP" Joe Rosa (w/the VIP Club) vs. Eddie Diamond (w/Timmy Danger).
VIP hits EFD. He drops him and hits the V-I-P legdrop. Danger jumps up on the apron with a picture of Epiphany and tells him to focus. VIP grabs the picture and tears it up. VIP turns around into a Lou Thesz press from Eddie. Eddie fires away. He runs off the ropes, but is hit by Matt King. The VIP Club argues with Timmy Danger distracting referee Josh Ashcraft. VIP gets the champagne bucket from Roberto and cracks Eddie across the back of the head, but Josh is still distracted. Epiphany runs out and VIP turns into a big clothesline from her. Eddie covers VIP and Josh turns around to make the 1-2-3.
WINNERS: DIAMOND by pinfall.
MY TAKE: It looks like Epiphany is finally starting to warm up to Eddie. Will this story end happily ever after?

"Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz vs. Rudy Switchblade.
Rudy comes out and says when they started this 24/7 match, he had no idea it would take this long to finish Jessie off. He calls him out and wants to finish this right now. Jessie comes out and Rudy dives out on him. They fight in and around the ring, with several near falls. Chairs are used and the announce table comes into play, but there is still not a winner. Moose, Jay Bradley, & Johnny Spade come fighting out of the curtain and they end up fighting with Rudy & Jessie too.
NO CONTEST.
MY TAKE: There is still no winner between Rudy & Jessie has the bad blood continues with Bradley, Spade, & Moose.

In the back, Paredyse is talking on the phone and finds out he is by himself. Espy & Chris are not in the building.

Albert Einstein Baxter II vs. Paredyse.
Paredyse flings Albert across the ring. He knees him in the back and locks in an armbar. He kicks him in the backside and gives Albert a wedgie, before kicking him in the backside again. He grabs Albert's glasses and says he is going to break them when the lights go out. Brittany Devore shows up on the screens and says Paredyse tricked her into thinking he was being a friend and then humiliates her? She says Espy, Chris, & Paredyse better watch out, because she will hunt them down. The Mobile Homers show up on the screen and ask where the weird red lighting is coming from while Brittany is talking. Back to the match, Paredyse turns around, and Albert fires away with punches, spears Paredyse and punches him some more. Paredyse kicks him, throws him to the corner, and charges. Albert ducks, and Paredyse hits the turnbuckle. Albert tries to roll him up, but only gets 2. Paredyse comes back and hits his finisher for 3 and then looks around scared for Brittany.
WINNER: PAREDYSE by pinfall.
MY TAKE: Paredyse doesn't look so confident when he's all alone. Will Brittany get her revenge on the Mascara Mafia?

In the back, Doug is talking to Trailer Park Trash, still looking for backup. Joe Coleman & Jack Black walk up and Doug walks away.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Ryan Howe vs. Rockstar Spud (c).
Taeler Hendrix comes out to watch as Howe controls early. He hits a couple fistdrops and locks in several headlocks, one of which is broken up by a chinbuster from Spud. Heidi Lovelace comes out and argues with Taeler. Dylan Bostic also comes out and argues with Taeler. He trips Howe, and Howe gets out of the ring. Heidi & Taeler both talk to him and he gets counted out.
WINNER and STILL OVW TV CHAMPION: SPUD by countout.
Spud refuses to win by countout with all the distractions and wants to restart the match.
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Ryan Howe vs. Rockstar Spud (c).
Again, Howe controls early, but Spud fights back. He catches Howe with a hurricanrana, and then dives onto Howe on the outside. He rolls Howe in and then goes up top and hits a splash for 2. Howe comes back and goes up top, but crashes and burns. Spud hits a DDT and gets the 3.
WINNER and STILL OVW TV CHAMPION: SPUD by pinfall.
MY TAKE: Spud wants to show that he's a fighting champion and picks up a nice clean win after having the match restarted.

In the back, Tony Gunn asks Randy Royal if he saw Rockstar Spud's match. Royal is ready to get back in the title hunt, but Cliff Compton walks in. He says next week on the debut episode of OVW TV on ION, he gets his rematch against Spud, and not if, but when he wins, he will again be the multimedia TV champion, and it will be so exciting it may give Royal another heart attack.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: "The Red Baron of Ruthless Reconnaissance" Crimson vs. Doug Williams.
Before the match gets underway, Jamin Olivencia's music hits. He comes out with referee Josh Ashcraft and Director of Operations, Michael Hayes. Michael says he has good news and great news. The good news is that Doug won't be defending the title against Crimson tonight, which Doug likes. After Doug reminded everyone of the rules a few weeks ago, the great news is that after what happened last week, Josh Ashcraft says there should have been a disqualification on Crimson since Doug put his hands on him. That means that Jamin is once again the #1 contender. Doug is flabbergasted and leaves the ring.
Crimson is upset and yells at Hayes, saying no one cares about what he did for this country. Jamin goes after Crimson, which brings the Coalition out. They gang up on Jamin, but Rob Terry, New School, Randy Royal, & Tony Gunn run out to even the odds and fight the Coalition off.
MY TAKE: Jamin gets his rematch after all as karma came around and bit Doug Williams.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Taeler Hendrix (w/Dylan Bostic) vs. Epiphany.
Taeler & Epiphany lock up, and Taeler jumps on Epiphany's back. Epiphany flips her over her head and down to the mat. Taeler throws her skirt at Epiphany. She throws some forearms at Epiphany, but it doesn't faze her. Epiphany chops Taeler's chest. Taeler comes back and kicks Epiphany's leg and hammers her across the back. She starts arguing with Dylan, and Dylan walks out after saying he is sick of her crap. Taeler turns around into some big forearm shots from Epiphany, and Epiphany hits her twisting suplex finisher for 3.
WINNER: EPIPHANY by pinfall.
MY TAKE: Epiphany picks up a good win as the friction continues between Dylan & Taeler.

"The King of Pink" Dylan Bostic vs. Elvis Pridemoore.
Dylan charges Elvis, but Elvis moves, and Dylan runs into the turnbuckle. Elvis slams him, but Bostic comes back with a cheap shot. Elvis fires back, but runs into a dropkick from Dylan. Elvis fires back again and hits a backdrop. Elvis gets Dylan in the corner and goes up to punch, but Dylan shoves him to the mat and pins him with his feet on the ropes.
WINNER: BOSTIC by pinfall.
MY TAKE: Bostic picks up a win and obviously didn't care how, being in a bad mood with Taeler.

"Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus & Stephon J. Baxter III vs. Bodyguy & "Dirdey" Jake Dirden.
Bodyguy came out and said he was training Dirden this week. Maximus takes Dirden down and tags Stephon in. Bodyguy refuses to tag Dirden. Dirden says he's got this with Stephon, but Stephon takes him down too. Bodyguy yells at Dirden, but Dirden tags him and slams him into the ring before walking off. Stephon hits the butt bump and tags Maximus. Maximus makes Bodyguy submit to the torture rack. After the match, Bodyguy was the recipient of another Assassin clothesline.
WINNERS: MAXIMUS & STEPHON by submission.
MY TAKE: The Bodyguy's "trainees" don't seem to be panning out as partners.

The Coalition's Joe Coleman, Jason Wayne, & Crimson (w/Jack Black, Shiloh Jonze, Raul LaMotta, & Ghillie) vs. "The Welsh Colossus" Rob Terry & New School's Alex Silva & Sam Shaw.
Crimson attacks Shaw hitting and kicking him. He throws him in the corner and tags in Coleman. Coleman knees him in the gut. Shaw fires back with a forearm and locks him in an armbar. Silva tags in and hits a dropkick. He puts him in a headlock, but Coleman breaks free and tags Wayne. Wayne runs in into an arm drag and Silva locks in an armbar. Silva tags Terry, but Wayne breaks away and tags Coleman back in. Coleman says he's got this and calls himself "Thunderlats". He charges at Terry, but bounces off of him. Terry with a giant hip toss. He slams Joe in the corner and tags Shaw in. Shaw arm drags him down and locks in an armbar, and then switches into a headlock. Jack Black gets on the apron distracting referee Josh Ashcraft. The Coalition trips up Shaw and gangs up on him as Josh tries to get Terry & Silva back in the corner. Wayne fires Shaw hard into the corner. Crimson comes in and slams Shaw and puts Shaw in a submission, twisting his neck. Crimson throws him in the corner, flips him over, but Shaw lands on his feet and hits a dropkick. Shaw tags Terry who comes in and is cleaning house. The rest of the Coalition jumps in and this match ends in a disqualification.
WINNERS: TERRY & NEW SCHOOL by DQ.
MY TAKE: The war rolls on between the Coalition & New School.

Don't forget this episode will be up online tomorrow. BE SURE TO VISIT OVWMANIA NEXT MONDAY MORNING FOR A VERY SPECIAL EARLY EDITION OF THE OVW TOP 20! As always, thanks for reading!

  1. Hey, did Compton wrestle at all last night? Hopefully he gets the title back from Spud.
Also, did OVW drop the “Sucka of the Week?” I know the reviews were not favorable and for me it was just too embarrassing to watch. Eventually, I would forward through it to the next match.
Taeler has been in this current heel character for close to a year. Many believe that her role is becoming stale. I know her huge fan base would prefer to see the return of a more aggressive Taeler, minus the drama and Howe/Bostic. She is good for OVW ratings and good for wrestling.

    1. Compton was only in the backstage segment with Royal & Gunn. The "Suckah" segment, at least according to Timmy Danger, is on "hiatus" while EFD chases Epiphany. I'm interested to see where they go with Taeler in regards to the storyline with Ryan Howe.
