OVW TV #902: "Countdown to CHAOS"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, November 30, 2016. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Randy Royal faces Big Zo, Rocco Bellagio faces Big Jon, Tyler Matrix defends the OVW TV Title in a triple threat against Diamond & Tony Gunn, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Trevor Steele defeats Carlos Gabriel. Carlos tries to be quick and avoid the size and power disadvantage, but Steele catches him as he jumps off the apron and rams him into the steel ringpost. Back inside, Steele dominates until Carlos gets a second wind and tries to take Steele off his feet. He leaps off the ropes, but Steele catches him and hits the torture rack slam for the 3.

Madi Maxx defeats Callie. Callie is on a roll after hitting Madi with a faceplant and a roundhouse DDT, but Madi gets her foot on the ropes. Callie thinks she has won, but Madi rolls her up from behind with a handful of tights for the 3.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Gilbert Corsey & Shannon the Dude are on commentary and Gilbert is the ring announcer.

"Double R Superstar" Randy Royal defeats Big Zo (w/Josh Ashcraft & Ca$h Flo). The ref finds chains on both men, but leaves them both in the corner of the ring. Zo gets Royal in the corner and revs up the Zo train, but Royal moves. Royal knees Zo in the head for 2. Josh distracts the ref and Royal gets tripped off the ropes by Ca$h. Zo splashes Royal and connects with a Zo bomb, but Royal grabs the ropes. Meanwhile, Big Jon shows up at ringside where he takes a chair to Ca$h. While the ref is distracted by this, Royal recovers and grabs a chain, then clocks Zo. He gets the 3.
After the match, Royal celebrates in the corner, but turns around into a title to the head by Rocco Bellagio. Rocco stands over him with the belt.

Adam Revolver comes out to Rev. Stu's music and dressed in a white robe. He says he has a good word. The good word is that he got beat by a superior tag team known as the Elite, and will never be on the same level partnering with the Mexicutioner.
He then brings out "Mexicutioner" which is Ted McNaler in a poncho and sombrero with some facepaint on and eating a taco. They poke fun of breaking Mexicutioner's fingers last week and Ted says that it was "no bueno". He then says as Mex, that he used to eat dos tacos, but can now only eat uno taco at a time.
Mex & Stu hit the ring wielding a chair and a leather strap. Stu says that Ted & Mex can't fight, but he has a match one-on-one with Adam. He got to pick the stipulation and it will be a strap on a pole match. He will climb up, retrieve it, and beat him like the dog he is. Mex warns Ted that if he tries to cheat one time, he will send him to the dentist. Two times, he will send him to the hospital. Three times, and he will send him to the morgue!

OVW TELEVISION TITLE TRIPLE THREAT: "The Young Lion" Tyler Matrix (c) defeats "Wrestling's Rockstar" Diamond and "Shotgun" Tony Gunn. Good 3-way action. Diamond was focused on going after Gunn for the majority of the contest and as they fought on one side of the ring with Gunn inside and Diamond on the apron, Matrix grabs Gunn, knocking Diamond off the apron, and rolls him up for the 3.

Jade Dawson defeats "The King of Hairstyle" Robbie Walker. Some good back and forth action, but Walker can't put Jade away after hitting a side effect. Walker gets Jade on his shoulders, but Jade messes up Walker's hair and rolls him up for the 3.
An irate Walker says he doesn't lose to a boy who likes to play games by messing up a real man's hair. He wants another match against any man who wants to face him and not play games. Justin Smooth answers the call...
Justin Smooth defeats "The King of Hairstyle" Robbie Walker. Walker attacks Smooth in the ropes as he tries to enter. Walker turns around to gloat, but turns back around into a big boot from Smooth for the 3. After the match, Smooth says he didn't move from Brooklyn to Louisville for nothing. He wants a taste of gold!

Big Jon defeats "The Show Stealer" Rocco Bellagio by DQ. A good battle of the big men, but it gets interrupted by the Legacy of Brutality.
Jon is about to chokeslam Rocco, but Zo gets his attention and then Hy Zaya hits him from behind with a superman punch. They throw Jon out of the ring and Randy Royal's music hits. He enters with a chain and wraps it around his fist. He gets in the ring, clocks Zo & Hy Zaya, but loses the chain as Rocco catches him with a blow. They battle back and forth as the locker room then empties, trying to keep them apart.
They keep breaking loose and going after each other. Royal gets out of the ring and grabs a barbed wire bat and clears the ring, chasing Rocco to the back.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Dapper Dan Van Zandt (w/Little Damion) defeats "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stu Miles (w/Mexicutioner). A good back and forth contest. Damion kept giving Dan added leverage during an abdominal stretch, so Mex goes after him and fights to the back. Stu is on a roll, "healing" Dan, and then takes him down into the cross arm submission. Adam Revolver runs out while the ref was distracted by Mex and Damion fighting at ringside and to the back. Adam chokes Stu with a strap, but Stu flips him over. This gives Dan enough time to recover though, and he grabs Stu and plants him with a Death Valley Driver for the 3.
