OVW TV #933: "No Respect for Hayes"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, July 5, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. In this episode, the Bad Boys Club, Adam Revolver, & Ca$h Flo are all in action, Gilbert Corsey interviews Michael Hayes about his actions, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"Livewire" KTD defeats Little Damion. Back and forth lockups to start. Damion hits a reverse neckbreaker for 2. He then hits kiss de-feet for 2. KTD back with an elbow off the rope. He then throws Damion off the rope, hits a spinning punch, and gets the 3.

"The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson defeat Houdini & "The Candy Man" Willie Sweet. Dustin & Houdini start. Dustin hits him with several shots, throws him in the corner, but Sweet moves Houdini. Houdini works over Dustin and has words with Colton. Houdini misses 3 elbow drops and Dustin gets a hot tag to Colton. Colton cleans house and then with Dustin, hits the Bro Code finisher for the 3.
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html.

Gilbert Corsey & Ron Hed are on commentary, and KC is the ring announcer.

Gilbert Corsey brings out Michael Hayes. Gilbert talks down at Hayes for his actions, and Hayes says he did it because he wanted to. He says everyone turned their back on him after he got fired from OVW and no one supported him. He is going to burn everything down and that includes the American flag. Dean Hill comes out and says no, don't do it. Dean explains why he shouldn't, which includes the men who died with him and what the flag means to him. He talks about different members of his family who served. He tells Michael that it won't happen on his watch.

OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "The Bad Boys Club": "Double R Superstar" Randy Royal & "Bad Boy" Shane Andrews (w/Jessie Belle) defeat "The Void": Chace Destiny & Jacob Black (w/Little Damion). Royal dominates over Chace early. They tag out and the Bad Boys then work over Black. Damion distracts Royal, and Black gets a cheap shot on Shane and kicks Royal. Shane gets the hot tag from Randy, and cleans house. Damion tries to distract again, but Jessie gets on the apron and kicks him off the ring. Randy hits the Samoan drop on Black, and Shane hits the frog splash for the 3.

David Lee Lorenze III is out with his assistant. He acts like he is on an awards show and is about to announce the award for greatest Television Champion ever. His assistant hands him an envelope, and the winner is...him! He says he defeated two villains and then a monster came out and stole it away from him. Big Zo comes out in street clothes and addresses Mr. Lorenze. He won the Golden Ticket and got to have a title match any time, anywhere. The assistant hits Zo from behind with the clapperboard to no effect. David then hits him with a trophy and rolls him in the ring. He wants a match now!
OVW Television Champion Big Zo defeats David Lee Lorenze III via DQ. David goes after Zo, but doesn't budge him. Zo slams him and yells "Are you serious?!" He gives him 4 chops and throws him in the corner, then hits the Zo train. He hits the big legdrop, and David's assistant distracts him. She hits him with a makeup case and David hits several quick moves and gets less than a 1 count. Zo is back with a clothesline and powerslam. He goes for the Zo bomb, but the assistant sprays him with hairspray in the eyes for the DQ.
Ca$h Flo (w/Josh Ashcraft) defeats Kevin Giza & "The River City Dragon" LJ. Giza & LJ work together early and even knock Ca$h from the ring and fly out onto him. While Ca$h is outside, Giza & LJ are 1-on-1 on the inside. Giza then goes after Ca$h again and is caught and thrown into the pole. LJ fakes out Ca$h, but is eventually caught and hit. He throws them both in the ring and Adam Slade's music hits. He does a lap around the ring, and LJ & Giza both get 2 chops apiece from Ca$h. Ca$h holds Giza up for about 20 seconds on a vertical suplex. Giza somehow kicks out. LJ is thrown in the corner and Giza gets powerslammed for the 3.
After the match, Ron Hed interviews Josh. There will be a title match next week between the Bad Boys Club and the Legacy of Brutality for the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles and Josh says they don't ask for it, they take it, and next week they will bring the titles home.

Gilbert Corsey brings out the new OVW Heavyweight Champion Adam Revolver. Revolver says Michael Hayes did nothing to help him, he did it all on his own. He will be fighting at the July 15th show in E-Town and has a "warm-up" match against Billy O.
Adam Revolver defeats Billy O. Billy looks really good in his return match from injury, taking the early advantage and dominating the early going until running into a boot from Revolver. There is some quick back and forth action, and Billy gets a near 3. Billy with a running knee in the corner. As he backs off, Adam comes back and around with a sleeper. Billy tries to fight it, but passes out and after 3 arm raises and drops, he's ruled out by submission.

Michael Hayes comes out with a flag, trash can, and can of gasoline. Several superstars including Apollo, the Bro Godz, Zo, Houdini, LJ, KTD, & Randall Floyd all run out to stop him. Dean Hill comes out and says if any of them allow Hayes to get to the flag and do something to it, they are fired. Big Jon charges out and then has to be held back. Dean says the August SNS is War Games. It will be Michael Hayes' team vs. Big Jon's team in the steel cage!

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"The Real Deal" Randall Floyd & "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles defeat Apollo & Dre Blitz (w/Raul LaMotta). Blitz & Stu start. Blitz gets worked over and then Apollo enters and gets more of the same. The momentum changes after Raul trips Stu. Stu is then worked over for a bit until he finally tags Floyd. Floyd hits a sidewalk slam on Blitz to get the 3.

I was out on vacation in Virginia and D.C. for the Saturday Night Special and tonight's TV taping. Special thanks to Scott Cannon for providing the results for both shows and to the OVW superstars who asked about me and sent their well wishes that I had a good trip! It was a nice weekend and I will be refreshed and ready to be back at the Davis Arena next Wednesday!

As always, thanks for reading!
