OVW June 2018 SNS: Into the Void Results

This is the OVW Report for the June 2, 2018 Saturday Night Special!

Tonight:

-Michael Hayes defends the OVW Heavyweight Title against Amon!

-The Bro Godz defend the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles against Shiloh Jonze and a mystery partner!

-Shannon the Dude faces Mike Lacett for the World Radio Heavyweight Title!


-Dapper Dan defends the Anarchy Title in a Title on a Pole Match Battle Royal!

-Plus more!

Your announcers for tonight are Dr. Ted McNaler & Gilbert Corsey, and Gilbert is ring announcer.

OVW Television Champion "The River City Dragon" Logan James vs. "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson.
LJ kicks Sam in the leg and locks in a side headlock, Sam reverses. They exchange blows. Sam catches LJ with a kick to the face. LJ rolls out, and Sam baseball slides into him. He sets up to dive out, but LJ gets back in. Sam ducks a clothesline and LJ catches him with a big backbreaker. LJ locks in a sleeper, but Sam fights up. He hits a twisting neckbreaker. LJ rolls out and Sam dives out on him. He rolls him in and goes off the top, but LJ moves. LJ with a double foot stomp across his back for 2. He hits Sam with a powerbomb onto his knees for 2. LJ can't believe it. He catches him for another, but Sam gets off his shoulders and connects with the Duck Call for the 3.
WINNER: THOMPSON by pinfall.

OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Shiloh Jonze & Jay Bradley vs. "The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage (c).
Colton locks Shiloh up from behind and takes him down. Shiloh backs him into his corner and tags Jay in. Jay hits him in the corner and headbutts him. Jay with a big slam and a tag to Shiloh. Colton tags out to Dustin and locks up the arm, then tags Colton back in. They double hip toss him. Jay tags back in and they try to double hip toss him, but Jay doesn't budge and he hits their heads together. He chops Dustin hard in the corner and Shiloh tags in and chops him, but Dustin takes him down and tags Colton. They hit a double bro-plex, but Shiloh tags Jay back in and Jay plows over Colton. He slams him in the corner and splashes him, but Shiloh tags himself in. Shiloh says he's got this. He knees Colton in the head and hits the jiggy kneedrop. Shiloh with a headlock. Colton works up and elbows out, but Shiloh comes back and collides into him. Both men are down. Both men tag. Dustin charges off the ropes, he can't take Jay down though. He elbows Jay and throws him outside. Shiloh charges in, but he throws him out onto Jay. Shiloh tries to get back in and Dustin hits him, Jay comes up from behind and grabs him, but Dustin falls on him for 2. Jay goes for a powerslam, but Shiloh tags in. Dustin slides off and dropkicks Jay out of the ring. He catches Shiloh off the top with a hit to the gut. Colton gets in, and they deliver the Snapshot for the 3.
WINNERS and STILL OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: BRO GODZ by pinfall.

OVW ANARCHY TITLE on a POLE BATTLE ROYAL: BGB, Eddie Knight, DL3, Dimes, Ashton Cove, Christian Hernandez, Apollo, Flex Murphy, Billy O, William Lutz, Big Zo, SK Eveslage, Kevin Giza, Adam Slade, Lukas Gibson, Dre Blitz, KTD, & Dapper Dan (c).
Lukas is eliminated, then Giza early on. Next eliminations are Slade and Flex. Blitz & BGB get tossed out. KTD is eliminated, then SK, Cove, Lutz, Zo, & Billy all follow. Apollo & Hernandez both get knocked out by Dan. Knight gets eliminated, thanks to interference from Ted McNaler. Dimes eliminated DL3, then turns into a clothesline from Dan. Dan hits a release German suplex, then climbs up for the title.
Tony Gunn, who was protesting around the ring with a sign saying "Hardcore Wrestling = Garbage Wrestling" hits Dan down. Dimes tries to climb, but Dan gets back to his feet and takes him down, and hits him with a spinning Death Valley Driver. He climbs up and retrieves the belt.
WINNER and STILL OVW ANARCHY CHAMPION: DAPPER DAN.

OVW WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH: Jaylee vs. Cali Young (c).
They shove each other. Jaylee with a headlock. Jaylee into the ropes for a clean break, then she smacks Cali. Cali with an armbar and an arm drag. She charges at Jaylee, but is shoved into the corner. Jaylee hits her in the corner, then works over Cali's arm. She is trying to weaken it to use Cali's armbreaker against her. She yanks it, locks it up, and stomps on it. Cali moves from an attack in the corner and starts to attack the arm of Jaylee. She hits an x-factor, then locks in the armbreaker, but Jaylee reverses. Cali then reverses into a rollup for the 3!
WINNER and STILL OVW WOMEN'S CHAMPION: CALI by submission.

SPECIAL TAG TEAM MATCH: "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd & "Double R Superstar" Randy Royal vs. "The Trinidadian Titan" Justin Smooth & "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe.
The winning team will face each other at the next OVW TV Taping, and the winner of that match will become #1 contender for the Heavyweight Title at the July SNS. Howe & Smooth argue and shove each other, so Floyd tries to roll Howe up for a quick 3. Howe is ready to start, but Smooth tags himself in. Royal then tags himself in and says he's got this. Smooth gets Royal in the corner. Royal drops Smooth and locks him in a test of strength, but Smooth overpowers him. Royal tags Floyd in. They exchange holds, and Smooth plows Floyd down off the ropes. Howe tags himself in and Floyd rolls him up in a small package for 2. He locks the arm up, but Howe gets him into the corner and throws him to the opposite one. Floyd jumps over him and dropkicks him. He works over the arm, and Howe rolls him up for 2. Howe locks Floyd's arm up and Floyd gets him into the corner. He shoulders him and throws him hard into the opposite corner. He charges, but Howe drops. Howe leaps off the top, but Floyd drops him and locks in the modified Boston crab. Smooth gets in and breaks it up. Smooth wants a tag, but Howe refuses. He slams Floyd and drops the fist. A snapmare for 2. Howe locks the arm in a submission to soften him up for the Whammy Bar. Floyd fights out and powerslams Howe. Royal tags himself in and goes for the Royal Flush, but Howe rolls him up for 2. Howe charges, but Royal pulls the top rope down and Howe flies out. Howe pulls him out with him. He hits him and rolls him back in for a 2. Howe goes for a slam, but Royal flips over and Royal hits the Backstabber. Royal tags Floyd and they deliver a double back elbow. Floyd whips Royal into a boot from Howe. There's a collision and all 3 men are down. Howe finally tags Smooth and he comes in firing away. He clotheslines Floyd and hits Royal with a spinebuster. All 4 men are in the ring and fighting in opposite corners. Smooth accidentally clotheslines Howe out of the ring. Royal goes for the Royal Flush on Smooth, but Floyd pushes him and asks him what he's doing. Smooth shoves Floyd into Royal, then hits the bicycle kick to Floyd for the 3.
WINNER: HOWE by pinfall.
After the match, Gilbert Corsey tries to get a word with Howe & Smooth about their match Wednesday, but doesn't get one. He says he guesses all the talking will be done Wednesday.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Amon (w/"The Void": Chace Destiny, Nigel, & Houdini) vs. Michael Hayes (c).
Hayes pounds away, but doesn't faze Amon. Amon hits one big right and knocks Hayes down. Hayes fires away again to no avail. Amon chokes him in the ropes. He hits Hayes' head off the top turnbuckle and pounds him in the gut. He then stomps him. Hayes tries to fire again, but Amon chops him hard. Amon with another chop, then a big side slam for 2. Hayes kicks back, then locks in a tarantula in the corner, but his leg comes off. He goes out, hits the Void, then puts it back on. Amon knocks Hayes back out of the ring and goes out after him. Hayes chops him and slams him, but Amon pops back up, chops Hayes, and rolls him in for 2. Then another 2. Amon stretches him out. Hayes works his way up, then kicks him below the belt as he has the ref distracted. He hits his release slam, then locks in the mandible claw. It looks like Amon might be out, but Amon kicks out at 2, raises up and slams Hayes hard. Hayes catches Amon with the facebuster off the knee for 2. Hayes goes outside and grabs a chair, but fights the Void off first. Hayes rolls the chair in and goes to grab it, but Amon gets up and steps on it. He delivers the pedigree on the chair and the ref gets in to count the 3, but stops when he sees the chair. He DQ's Amon.
WINNER and STILL OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: HAYES by DQ.
After the match, Hayes gets up and takes Amon and the Void out with the chair. Amon pops back up and delivers another pedigree. The Void comes back out with a casket and Amon throws Hayes inside, then lays the title across the top and they carry Hayes out.

WORLD RADIO HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Mike Lacett vs. Shannon the Dude (w/Adam Revolver) (c).
Lacett tries to get his hands on STD, but STD rolls out and lures him outside. STD takes advantage and works him over with help from Adam. Lacett fires back and is in control, as Adam gets in. He hits Adam with a hurricanrana, then locks him in a sleeper hold. STD recovers and rolls Lacett up from behind with a handful of tights for the 3.
WINNER: STD by pinfall.
After the match, Lacett drags STD back in, kicks him and delivers a frog splash.
