Pre-Show Dark Matches:
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 9PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html.
Gilbert Corsey & Ted McNaler are on commentary, and Brittany & Mercy are the ring announcers.
Tommy Dreamer comes out and talks about how it feels to be in Davis Arena. He used to come every Wednesday night and when he was working for WWE, he had a hand in signing 23 superstars. Some of them are hall of famers. It is incredible to think of the talent and he talks about coming up to 1000 shows and being a part of the Grand Tournament. He is interrupted by Billy O.
Billy says he's old and asks what he has left. Tommy says he wrestled 187 shows last year and is on par to wrestle 187 more this year. Tommy says he likes Billy's little barbed wire title and wants a match.
Sam Thompson comes out and says he respects Tommy, but he has a match scheduled against Billy for the TV Title. Billy says that's true, so they will have to put that off. Tommy has an idea that originated in ECW. A 3-way dance. Tommy will face Sam. Whoever wins will face Billy, but if they go to a draw, Billy will be in the match with BOTH titles on the line!
Katie Forbes comes out and says she has wrestled all over the world and is happy to be here in OVW on the road to 1000. She is here to go after the Women's Title and be the queen of OVW. Jaylee comes out and says she is the one that she has to go through if she wants a shot. Katie shoves her down and we have a match...
NON TITLE MATCH: Katie Forbes defeats OVW Women's Champion Jaylee. Katie hits her into the corner, then hits a cartwheel butt bump into her and chokes her with her boot. She delivers a stinkface. Jaylee comes back and works Katie over in the opposite corner. Katie comes back with a press slam. Jaylee tries to fire back, but Katie hits a scissor kick for 2. She then gets a quick rollup for the 3.
DARK SEGMENT: Tony Gunn comes out and says he got word from Dean Hill in the back that he will face Tommy Dreamer in the first round of the Grand Tournament. He says it's funny that he is anti-hardcore and will be facing "Mr. Extreme". He tells Tommy to turn his hearing aid up, that tomorrow he will be victorious, because this is the Gunn Show! Click, click, boom.
Amon is out with the Void and says HE's here, the rightful owner of the OVW Heavyweight Title, Abyss! Abyss asks Dean Hill where his title is? He says he warned him 2 weeks ago that if he doesn't get back what he wants, he would unleash carnage like never seen before. Now he comes up with some tournament? He says it's on! He is going to pick apart this roster and says the people behind him are family. One thing about family is they sacrifice.
He then clotheslines Chace Destiny & Houdini, splashes them in opposite corners, and chokeslams them both. Amon has Nigel, and throws him into a black hole slam from Abyss. Abyss says this is the road to 1000, and the road to destruction! At episode 1000, he will be the OVW Heavyweight Champion!
After the match, he delivers a running brainbuster and tells Lutz he got "carded".
3-WAY DANCE IMPLICATIONS: "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer vs. "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson. Sam with the early offense. He knocks Tommy out of the ring and dives out. He goes for a kick from the apron, but Tommy moves, and then chops Sam. Back inside, Sam regains control. He works over Tommy's arm and pounds away. Sam with a submission of the cross face chicken wing. He tries a rollup for 2. Tommy locks him into a submission, but Sam gets to the ropes. Tommy fires away with lefts, but misses a bionic elbow. Sam takes him down for another 2. He charges into a boot and Tommy takes him down with a facebreaker for 2. The 10 minutes is up.
3-WAY DANCE IMPLICATIONS: OVW Anarchy Champion "The Leading Man & Star of the Show" Billy O (c) defeats "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson & "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer. Billy O's music hits and he comes out stomping Tommy and choking him with his towel. Sam is up and fires away with clotheslines and a DDT for 2 as Tommy breaks the pin. Tommy leaves and brings out the goodies. He neuters Sam with a pair of tongs, then hits Billy. Sam & Tommy throw Billy into a trash can. Tommy grabs a light saber and throws a broom to Sam. They joust, with Tommy hitting Sam in the back. He sets up a chair, but Sam drop toeholds him on the chair. Sam hits Billy with the broom and goes up top. Tommy catches him for a superplex, but Billy gets under Tommy and also powerbombs him. Billy tries to pin both for 2's. He throws Sam into the ring post and out of the ring. Tommy hits Billy with a cookie sheet and hits a Death Valley Driver on Sam on the chair. Tony Gunn comes out and pulls Tommy off the pin. Billy takes the pin for the 3 as Gunn hits Tommy outside.
After the match, Gunn continues to pummel Tommy, and chokes him with the kendo stick. He also knocks Sam out with the Anarchy Title and spits on it. He tells Tommy he is garbage like hardcore wrestling, and will end his career tomorrow!
Randall Floyd runs out, but Gunn hits him with the kendo stick and says this is the Gunn show!
DARK MATCH TAG TEAM TITLE SHOT GAUNTLET: "The Entourage 2.0": DL3 & Shiloh Jonze (w/Dre Blitz & Jay Bradley) defeat BGB & Ashton Cove. Shiloh struggles early as BGB hits a cross body and Cove hits an inverted atomic drop. DL3 tags in and runs in to some arm drags from Cove. Cove hits a whirly bird as Blitz jumps on the apron for a distraction. Jay gets in and boomsticks Cove for DL3 to get the 3.
"The Entourage 2.0": DL3 & Shiloh Jonze (w/Dre Blitz & Jay Bradley) defeat Big Zo & Dapper Dan. Shiloh & DL3 jump on their backs, but get thrown off. Dan catches DL3 with a slam and a rock bottom. He delivers a dapper leg drop and gets DL3 on his shoulders. DL3 slides off and pushes him to the corner. Both men tag. Zo runs over Shiloh and slams him. Again, Blitz distracts the ref and Jay boomsticks Zo for Shiloh to get the 3.
"The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage defeat "The Entourage 2.0": DL3 & Shiloh Jonze (w/Dre Blitz & Jay Bradley). The Bros take it to DL3 as Shiloh runs out. Distraction by Blitz doesn't work this time, and the Bros put DL3 away with the Snapshot.
"The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage defeat Duke Cornell & Main Feature. Quick offense from Main Feature & Duke, but Dustin shoves them into each other and tags Colton. Colton bro-theslines Duke and they hit the Snapshot for the 3.
"The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage defeat Dimes & "Livewire" KTD. Dimes with quick offense on Dustin and tags KTD. Dustin breaks free and they both tag. Colton takes Dimes down for 2. He rolls him up again for the 3.
"The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage defeat The Tau & "The Vet" Apollo. Apollo has Dustin down and Tau tags in and kicks Dustin and hits a giant leaping leg drop. Dustin gets a hot tag and Colton hits him with the scissor kick, then Dustin hits the splash from the top rope for the 3.
"The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage defeat "The Elite": Adam Revolver & Ted McNaler. Adam & Ted ambush them and stomp away. They double team Dustin, but Dustin comes back with a rollup on Adam for the 3!
After the match, the Bros are attacked and they hit their finisher on Dustin. The War Kings then come out and congratulate them and tell them they are feeling generous. Their rematch starts right now!
OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: "The War Kings": Jax Dane & Crimson (c) defeat "The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage. The Kings destroy the Bros. Colton gets a hot tag, but runs out of steam and the Kings regain control and hit their finisher where Crimson hits the cutter off of Jax's shoulders for the 3.
