OVW TV 1030: Sinister Smooth

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, May 1, 2019. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and on the OVW Network. In this episode, Shiloh Jonze defends the Anarchy Title against Sinn Bodhi, Tony Bizo gets another shot in the TV Title gauntlet, a "sinister 6-way" to determine the last man to enter the Heavyweight Title gauntlet at SNS #100, plus more!

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"Kings Ransom": Maximus & Leonis Khan defeat "The Void": Chace Destiny & Nigel Winters. Leonis with a wristlock and a clothesline. Off the ropes, he hip tosses Nigel. Chace with a blind tag. Nigel jumps off the ropes and gets caught. Chace dropkicks Nigel on top of him. Chace tries to pin, but Leonis quickly kicks out. Maximus tags in and double clotheslines Nigel & Chace. They go for Kings Landing on Nigel, but Chace pulls him to safety. They throw the Kings into the ringposts. They go for a double kick to Leonis' head, but he ducks and they kick each other. Maximus throws Nigel out, then throws Chace off the ropes. He moves and Leonis is ready with a massive spear for the 3.

"Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (w/Mrs. Marvelous) defeats "The Veteran" Apollo. Melvin hits Apollo in the corner and clotheslines him. He hits a shoulder tackle off the ropes. Apollo back with some hard shots to the side of the head. He rakes Melvin's face across the top rope. He hits Melvin in the corner, but misses a charge. Melvin throws him off the ropes and hits the powerslam for the 3.

OVW WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH: Cali Young (c) defeats "The 97 Year Old Wrestling Extraordinaire" Thunderkitty. Kitty with a wristlock. Cali takes her down. Kitty with a side headlock into a takedown for 2. Kitty hits her in the ropes. A drop toehold for 2. Cali hits a chinbuster, then a snap suplex. She takes a drink of water, and Kitty rolls her up for 2. Kitty misses a charge in the corner. Cali with a perfect plex for 2. Cali gets another drink. Kitty kicks her and Cali spits it in Kitty's face. She rolls Kitty up for the 3.

TELEVISION TITLE GAUNTLET MATCH:

Chace Destiny defeats KTD. KTD with a takedown for a quick pin attempt. KTD with an arm drag. Chace hits the Butterfly Effect out of nowhere for the 3.

Drew Hernandez (c) defeats Chace Destiny. Chace goes right after Drew. Chace charges, but eats a boot in the corner. Drew shoulder blocks him down and Chace tries to fire back. Drew kicks him and goes for the powerbomb. Chace reverses into a butterfly effect for 2. Chace dropkicks him and misses a boot. Drew kicks him and hits the powerbomb for the 3.

Drew Hernandez (c) defeats Nigel Winters. Nigel with a dropkick and jumps across Drew's back. He hits a monkey flip and pins for 2. Nigel keeps firing and leaps for another monkey flip in the corner, but Drew catches him and powerbombs him for 3.

Drew Hernandez (c) defeats Alex Zane. Zane gets kicked as he enters. Zane quickly recovers and fires back with a kick and a headscissors variation from the apron. He dropkicks Drew out of the ring. He goes to fly out, but Drew gets back in and shoulder blocks him. He throws Zane to the floor and hits him on the outside. He rolls him back in and locks in a headlock. Zane shoves him off and leaps in from the apron with knees across the back. Zane goes for a corkscrew off the top, but Drew gets his knees up. He hits the powerbomb and gets the 3!

Drew Hernandez (c) defeats Tony Bizo. Drew slaps Bizo, then Bizo slaps back. He clotheslines Drew and hits a big slam. Off the ropes, Bizo catches Drew with a big spinebuster. Bizo goes for the long-standing vertical suplex, but Drew blocks it. Drew throws his shirt in Bizo's face and throat thrusts him. He hits the powerbomb for the 3.

Justin Smooth comes out to scout the next contest...

SINISTER 6-WAY MATCH (Winner is last entrant in SNS 100 Heavyweight Title gauntlet):

"Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus vs. Adam Revolver vs. Amon vs. Jay Bradley vs. Rudy Switchblade vs. Michael Hayes. Jay clotheslines Hayes. Melvin shoulder tackles Jay. Rudy with a kick to Melvin. Amon comes in and throws Rudy into the ropes. Amon charges, but Rudy moves. Adam attacks Rudy from behind. Jay throws Adam across the ring. Amon jumps on Jay's back, but gets flipped off. Melvin hits Jay and goes after Adam. Adam locks him in a sleeper. Melvin backs up into the corner and hits Adam. Amon gets in, as does Hayes. We have a double superplex/powerbomb out of the corner. Everyone comes in simultaneously and hits their finishers, but Smooth gets up from commentary and breaks up a pin attempt that Melvin has on Adam. He clocks Melvin, hits Hayes, clocks Adam with the belt, then delivers bicycle kicks to Amon, Rudy, & Jay. He says he's the champ and no one is getting an advantage against him!

Dustin Jackson (w/Lily) defeats Ca$h Flo. Dustin fires away and tries a clothesline, but Ca$h doesn't budge. Ca$h with a chop, but Dustin back with a leap from the second rope. Ca$h with another chop and Dustin fires back. He goes for a sunset flip. Ca$h drops, but Dustin moves. Dustin with a boot to the face and a missile dropkick that takes Ca$h off his feet. Ca$h begs him off, but hits him and stomps him in the corner. Ca$h yells in the camera that this will be Sam Thompson. He keeps looking and notices the camera man is Sam! Dustin rolls him up from behind and gets the 3!

After the match, Ca$h grabs Sam. Dean Hill comes out and says he cannot touch an employee and Sam is an employee. He tells Ca$h to remember what happened to Dimes last week. Ca$h will be suspended. Ca$h says to reinstate Sam so he can get his hands on him. Dean does so and Ca$h charges at Sam. Sam pulls down the top rope and Ca$h flies out!

DARK MATCH: Big Zo defeats Ashton Cove (w/William Lutz). Zo controls most of the match with his power advantage. Lutz tries to interfere, but gets thrown into the barricade. Zo hits a cartwheel splash for the 3.

DARK MATCH: "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya defeats "Category 5" Corey Storm. A lot of quick exchanges early. Storm with some kick attempts. Hy moves, but Storm comes back with a neckbreaker for 2. Hy tries to slow the pace. Storm back with back elbows and chops. Hy back with a leg lariat off the ropes for 2. Hy chokes him in the ropes. He charges, but Storm leaps over him and charges right into a super kick! Hy stomps on the forehead. Storm reverses a throw and Hy flies out. Storm with a dive out. He rolls Hy back in and hits a senton from the apron for 2. Storm goes up top and Hy shoves the ref into the ropes making him fall on the top turnbuckle. Hy climbs up and Storm tries to hit him off. Hy rakes the eyes and hits a superplex. Hy goes for a backdrop, but Storm flips over and hits a leaping headscissors. He hits a step up enziguri. He charges Hy, but gets caught with a sitout blue thunder bomb for the 3.

DARK MATCH BATTLE ROYAL (Winner is last entrant into next week's TV Title gauntlet):

ENTRANTS (in order): Big D, Nigel Winters, Big Zo, Chace Destiny, KTD, Josh Ashcraft, Alex Zane, TV Champion Drew Hernandez, William Lutz, Tony Bizo, Ashton Cove, The Mexicutioner, El Churro, El Pinata.

Eliminations (in order): Big D by Nigel, Zo, & Chace, Nigel by Zo, Chace by KTD, Josh by Zo, Zane by Lutz, KTD by Drew, Lutz by Zo, Cove by Zo, Churro & Pinata by Zo, Mex by Bizo, Zo by Drew, Drew by Bizo.

WINNER: Bizo.

ANARCHY TITLE MATCH: Shiloh Jonze (w/Big D) vs. "The Warlord of Weird" Sinn Bodhi. Shiloh calls out Sinn, saying he has been waiting all week. DL3 comes out in facepaint. Al Snow comes out and stops it. He says Sinn still hasn't made it to the building and he's not sure what else to do. It's 10:10 and his flight was delayed. A fan yells out for him to kick their butts. He does and tells everyone to have a good night and he will make it up to everyone.
