Pre-Show Dark Matches:
Shiloh Jonze (w/DL3 & Big D) defeats William Lutz. D charges at Lutz, Lutz moves. He charges again, and Shiloh has to pull the rope down to duck out of the way. Lutz then throws Shiloh out of the ring onto DL3. He goes up top and leaps out on them. Lutz throws Big D into DL3 as Shiloh gets back in. Shiloh dropkicks Lutz off the apron, then throws him into the steps. Shiloh with some chops in the corner and a variation of an exploder suplex for 2. Shiloh with a sleeper. Lutz fires back, taking down DL3 and D off the apron. He high knees Shiloh and hits a driver. He goes up top and DL3 & D jump back on the apron. He gives them a meeting of the minds, then goes for the moonsault. Shiloh gets the knees up, Shiloh-roonie's back to his feet, and hits a Sucka Punch for the 3.

Adam Revolver (w/Shannon the Dude) defeats Nigel Winters. Nigel with a hot start. He hits a dropkick, cross body, a monkey flip, and is in total control. Adam flips him over on a second monkey flip attempt to the apron. He tries to jump in, but gets tripped up in the ropes, and Adam locks in the sleeper. Nigel tries to fight out of it, but finally passes out.
After the match, Justin Smooth comes out and has the OVW Rule Book in hand. He says it does say that titles can change hands by DQ. He lost by DQ at the Special, but last week, Michael Hayes got disqualified. Therefore, he is a 2-time Heavyweight Champion!
TELEVISION TITLE GAUNTLET MATCH:
Big Zo defeats Ashton Cove (w/William Lutz). Zo with a takedown and an armlock. Lutz keeps interfering, but it doesn't help Cove's cause. Zo with a spinning cutter that knocks Lutz out of the ring for good for the 3.
Drew Hernandez (c) defeats Big Zo. Drew goes for the powerbomb early, but Zo back body drops him. He misses the cartwheel butt bump and Drew kicks him. Zo comes back and hits the cartwheel butt bump and back elbows. He slams Drew and goes for the Zo bomb, but he pushes the ref into the ropes, then hits the Mayan Apocalypse off the ropes for the 3!
Drew Hernandez (c) defeats Chace Destiny. Chace fires away and boots Drew in the face. Drew comes back and knocks him to the outside and tells the ref to count. Chace keeps making it back in as Drew tries to keep him out. Chace starts firing back and leaps at Drew, but gets caught in a pop-up powerbomb for 3.
Drew Hernandez (c) defeats "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson. Sam with kicks and quick offense early. He gets flipped over Drew to the apron and tries to leap in, but gets caught in a powerbomb for the 3.
#1 CONTENDER for the HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Dustin Jackson (w/Lily) defeats Ca$h Flo. Ca$h attacks Dustin and chokes him in the corner with his own jacket. He chops him, then hangs him in a tree of woe. He chops him again and drops a big elbow. Outside, Ca$h drives him into the apron and then throws him into the ringpost. Back inside, he chops him again. Dustin moves out of the way of a charge and dropkicks him out of the ring. He dives out onto him. Dustin gets in and Ca$h rolls in at 8. Dustin goes for a pin, but Ca$h kicks out. Dustin avoids another charge and slams Ca$h! He goes up top, leaps for the splash, but Ca$h gets his knees up. Ca$h stomps the abdomen and throws him off the ropes. He hits a running cross body and locks in a submission. Dustin tries to fight up, but Ca$h clubs him back down. He headbutts him in the corner and hits another chop. Ca$h kicks him and goes to pick him up. Dustin with an inside cradle for 2. Ca$h plows him back down. He goes up top, but misses a splash. Dustin goes up and hits the splash, but Justin Smooth runs out and pulls him off the pin at 2.
He throws him into the ringpost, then bicycle kicks Ca$h. He gets a mic and says he wants his title. He says Michael Hayes is a punk and a coward. He calls him out. Hayes comes out and says if he wants to go 1-on-1 with the "GOAT", he'll do it right now. Dean Hill comes out and says to stop this right now.
He says they can have their match at the June 1 SNS, and it will be no DQ! Smooth attacks Hayes and pounds on him. The masked man from last week runs out and hits a Change Maker on Smooth, then Hayes hits him with the Soldier Slam.
This ended the TV taping.
DARK MATCH: "Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (w/Mrs. Marvelous) defeats The Mexicutioner. They lock up and Melvin clubs Mex down. He hits a huge Russian leg sweep and puts Mex away quick with the 3.
DARK MATCH: OVW Heavyweight Champion Michael Hayes defeats Amon. They exchange blows in the middle of the ring. Amon with a clothesline. He charges Hayes in the corner, and Hayes rolls out. He catches Amon with the headbutts to the chest and a swinging neckbreaker. He hits the side slam, but Amon gets back up and leaps at Hayes. He takes him down and bites him. He tries to pin for 2. Amon hits a knee to the head and clubs Hayes across the back. He chops him and clubs him again. He tries to pin again for 2. Amon applies a pressure point to the neck, then hits a sidewalk slam. 2 count. Amon pulls off the leg and puts it in the corner. He clubs Hayes down. Hayes avoids a kick and suckers Amon in to hit the Soldier Slam for the 3.

I do not like Justin Smooth but I do agree that if he can lose the title on a dq then so should Michael Hayes. Dean needs to apply the rules across the board and not have different rules for each wrestler.
ReplyDeleteWell the way I see it is with the TV title gauntlet every week there is no champions advantage and the title can change hands by DQ but last week was just a straight singles match where champions advantage is in play.
