OVW TV 1033: Sneak Attack on Trinidad

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, May 29, 2019. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and on the OVW Network. In this episode, the TV Title gauntlet featuring new champion Randall Floyd, Justin Smooth & Ca$h Flo face Dustin Jackson & Michael Hayes, plus more!

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Entourage 2.0": Shiloh Jonze, Big D, & DL3 defeats William Alexander Moore, Chace Destiny, & "The Boy Wonder" Sam ThompsonMoore gets distracted by DL3 and Shiloh hits him from behind. DL3 tags in and hits the corner clothesline. Moore takes DL3 down with a slam and both tag out. Chace comes in, but gets a sidewalk slam from D. Shiloh tags in and hits the jiggy kneedrop. Chace comes back with a sunset flip for 2, but Shiloh regains control. D splashes him in the ropes. DL3 comes in, but Chace reverses a suplex and tags Sam as Shiloh tags in. Sam takes Shiloh down with the slingblade and goes up top. The ref is distracted and DL3 shoves Sam off the top, right into the Sucka Punch from Shiloh for the 3.

OVW Women's Champion Cali Young & Jessie Belle defeat Valerie Vermin & Thunderkitty. Jessie takes Val down. Cali comes in and hits a dropkick to a seated Val. Jessie tags back in and they hit a double elbow drop. Off the ropes, Jessie gets kicked from behind by Kitty. She tags in and clubs Jessie, but Jessie with a forearm back. Kitty gets her to the corner and Val comes in and works her over in the corner. Kitty tags back in and locks in a reverse headlock. Val tags in  and delivers a snapmare, then kicks Jessie in the face. Jessie grabs her foot, takes her down, and rolls her into a Boston crab. Kitty runs in and breaks the hold. She hits Jessie and charges her in the corner. She charges again, but Jessie rolls out of the way. She kicks Kitty away and tags Cali, as Kitty tags Val. Cali fights Val & Kitty both. She throws Kitty out and hits the fisherman's suplex on Val for the 3.

Jay Bradley defeats Big Zo. They lock up into the corner. Off the ropes, they collide and neither man budges. Jay with several shots to the face, but Zo gives it right back. Zo splashes Jay in the corner. Jay reverses a throw, but misses a big boot in the corner. Zo with some kicks to the side, followed by the SaZoan drop. He hits a big slam, then a roundhouse kick for 2 as Jay grabs the bottom rope. Zo goes for another slam, but Jay slides off and connects with the Boomstick off the ropes for 3.

"Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (w/Mrs. Marvelous) defeats Ashton Cove (w/William Lutz). Lutz gets on the apron. Melvin grabs him, but moves as Cove charges and knocks Lutz off the apron. Melvin throws him into the turnbuckle, then hits a shoulder tackle. He scoops him up for a slam, then hits a leg sweep for the 3.

"Category 5" Corey Storm defeats William Lutz (w/Ashton Cove). Storm with some quick offense early including a rollup. He also hits a sunset flip for 2. He delivers a kick to Lutz and goes up top. Cove tries to interfere, but Storm kicks him off. Cove gets back on the apron as Lutz charges, but Storm moves and Lutz knocks Cove off the apron. Storm kicks him and goes up top to hit the Eye of the Storm (double foot stomp to the back) for the 3!

Megan Bayne defeats "Amazing" Maria James. Maria charges at Meg, but doesn't budge her. She tries again and Meg catches her for a slam. Meg gets her on the shoulders, but Maria slides off. Meg takes her down and Maria lands on her neck. She hits a front face slam for the 3!
After the match, Meg grabs a mic and asks how many women and men she has to beat before she gets a shot at the Women's Title? She tells Cali that they used to be best friends and selfie and tan and gym together, but she is coming for her at the Saturday Night Special!

TELEVISION TITLE GAUNTLET MATCH:
"The Real Deal" Randall Floyd (c) defeats "The Veteran" Apollo. Floyd drops him immediately and locks in the Figure Four for the tapout!
"The Real Deal" Randall Floyd (c) defeats KTD. KTD with a dropkick and some kicks to the leg. Randall back with a scoop slam, dropkick, and the Figure Four for the tapout.
"The Real Deal" Randall Floyd (c) defeats Nigel Winters. Floyd with a takedown. Nigel tries for a monkey flip, but Floyd blocks it. Nigel goes through Floyd's leg and hits him in the face. Nigel tries a cross body off the ropes. Floyd catches him, but Nigel slides out and hits a monkey flip for 2. Nigel charges him, but Floyd blocks him and dropkicks him. He locks in the Figure Four for the tapout.
"The Real Deal" Randall Floyd (c) defeats Drew Hernandez. Drew kicks him, and Floyd tries to grab his leg and take him down, but Drew clubs him and then shoulders him in the corner. Floyd takes him down and tries to lock in a leg submission, but Drew hits him off. Drew with a waistlock, then a huge German suplex. Drew kicks him out and tells the ref to count faster for a countout. Floyd comes back in with a sunset flip for 2. Drew hits him back down. Floyd tries to fire back, but Drew clubs him down again. He tries to pin for 2. He has a headlock in and Floyd works his way up. Drew kicks him and goes for the Mayan Apocalypse, but Floyd rolls him up for 2. Drew goes for it again, but Floyd kicks him in the head. He hits him off, but Drew comes back for another German suplex. Floyd instead picks the ankle and takes him down. Floyd tries the Figure Four, but Drew claws his eyes. Drew with a backdrop, then sets up for the Mayan Apocalypse again. Floyd catches his boot and pulls him down. He gets the Figure Four locked in and Drew taps!
"The Real Deal" Randall Floyd (c) defeats Brandon Espinosa. Espy with a hard clothesline to the back of the head for 2. He kicks Floyd in the face and tries another pin for 2. Espy chokes him in the ropes, then delivers a leg across the back. He stomps him several times, using the ropes for leverage. Floyd tries to fire back. Espy charges him. Floyd puts a boot up, but Espy stops and pulls the leg down across his shoulder. He misses a kneedrop, then another, then a third. Floyd with a chinbuster, followed by a flurry of hits and chops. He hits the dropkick and goes for the Figure Four. He locks it in and Espy taps. Floyd survives the gauntlet!

OVW Heavyweight Champion Michael Hayes & Dustin Jackson (w/Lily) defeat Ca$h Flo & "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth. Dustin takes Smooth down with a big clothesline off the ropes. Hayes tags in and they deliver a double back elbow. A lot of tags in and out on both sides. It doesn't look like either team is on the same page to start. Hayes gets blindsided, but comes back with some headbutts to the abdomen of Smooth. Hayes tags in and fires away on Smooth. Dustin is back in and hits the corner to corner clotheslines on both Smooth & Ca$h. He dropkicks Ca$h, then kicks Smooth and takes him down. He goes up top, but Ca$h hits him down, then Smooth & Ca$h slam him to the mat from the top. He gets worked over in the corner and Smooth locks in a chinlock. Dustin tries to fight up, but gets taken back down. They continue to pulverize Dustin. Smooth goes up top, but Ca$h tags himself in. He slams Dustin, but Dustin rolls him up for a quick 2. Ca$h chops him and Smooth tags back in. Dustin is able to break free and tag Hayes. Hayes headbutts him and slams him. Dustin dropkicks Smooth, then clotheslines Ca$h and himself over the top rope to the outside. Smooth sets up for the bicycle kick, but the masked man runs out and tries to hit a Change Maker. Smooth shoves him off and goes for the bicycle kick, but the masked man ducks and runs off. Hayes has recovered and hits the Honorable Discharge for the 3.

This ended the TV taping.

DARK MATCH: Christian James defeats Freddie Hudson. Freddie clubs James into the ropes and chokes him. He locks in a rear chinlock. James back with a sunset flip for 2. He takes him down and goes for another pin for 2. Freddie throws him into the corner and charges, but James moves and rolls him up for the 3.

DARK MATCH: OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "Kings Ransom": Maximus & Leonis Khan defeat Amon & Kyle Roberts. The Kings are attacked. They throw them off the ropes, but the Kings come back with the jumping clotheslines. Maximus with some big punches to the side of Amon's head. Maximus charges, but Amon pulls down the top rope and he flies out. Kyle knees Maximus in the back, then pulls him by his hair. He tags Kyle and Kyle locks in a side headlock. Maximus with a backdrop to get out of it. Kyle hits him from behind to regain control after a distraction from Amon. Amon tags back in and delivers some punches to the gut. Maximus fires out of the corner, but runs into a clothesline from Amon. Amon stretches him out. Maximus works up, but Amon pulls him back down to the mat and licks his forehead. Kyle tags in and misses a legdrop and kneedrop. Leonis gets the hot tag and delivers a huge back body drop. Amon breaks a pin. He doesn't get out, so the ref calls for a DQ.
