OVW TV #686: "Terry vs. Crimson!"

Tonight at the Davis Arena, we saw the battle we had all been waiting for between Crimson and Rob Terry in a showdown for the OVW Heavyweight Title. Also, Alex Silva defended the TV Title against Cliff Compton, the Best Team Ever was in action, Johnny Spade was in a foul mood, and we saw the OVW TV debut of Sam Shaw.

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Match:

The Mobile Homers b. Ace Hawkins & Raphael Constantine. Both Ted & Adam must've spent the last few days drinking their sorrows away after not capturing the tag titles at SNS. They both staggered to the ring as drunk as could be. Adam started out strong against Ace, before each man tagged in their partners. Raphael took control against Ted after pantsing him, and him & Ace tagged in and out working over him until Ted made the hot tag back to Adam. Adam came in on fire and took Ace out of the ring, and then set up the Double Wide with Ted which they hit for the pin and the win. MY TAKE: The rocket fuel might not have helped at SNS, but the Mobile Homers did pick up an important tag team win tonight.

That was tonight's only pre-show dark match. I always suggest watching the show first before reading my full report. You can find the shows posted online late Thursday afternoons/evenings at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

OVW Saturday Night Special: October 6, 2012 Preview

The next Saturday Night Special is coming up on October 6 at the Davis Arena! Here is a preview:

CAGE MATCH:
 CLIFF COMPTON vs. CHRIS SILVIO
Silvio has a lot of heart and he has Compton in a cage where he can't run or hide. What started out somewhat harmlessly as a battle over who the better showman was, has now turned into an all out war. Will Silvio exact revenge over Compton or does Cliff have a few tricks up his sleeve?

OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS:
THE BEST TEAM EVER (C) vs. THE MOBILE HOMERS
Rudy Switchblade & Jessie Godderz do not look like the Best Team Ever, much less a team. They have been unable to get on the same page as they've racked up several losses over the past few weeks. Meanwhile, the Mobile Homers look like a well-oiled machine, thanks in large part to their rocket fuel. Will the Best Team Ever return to form or will their be a BBQ bash celebrating new tag champs?

JASON WAYNE vs. ESPY
Jason Wayne has demanded respect for his service overseas and ran down opponents in the process. He has also disrespected the fans, women's wrestling, and his opponent for SNS. Espy has stepped up and called Wayne out. Who will come out on top and prove that they are "man" enough?

THE WILD CARDS vs. JOHNNY SPADE & DOUG WILLIAMS
The Wild Cards cost Spade the OVW Heavyweight Title and now Spade wants revenge. It doesn't hurt that he has a great wrestling technician in his corner in Doug Williams. Have the Wild Cards learned enough from their "friend" Crimson to trump the Spade again, or does the "Smooth One" and Sir Williams teach them a lesson?

JOSIE vs. HEIDI LOVELACE
(If Josie wins, she will get a future Women's Title shot)
Heidi Lovelace has been on quite the run racking up wins over former champion Taeler Hendrix, as well as Epiphany, Jessie Belle, & Scarlett Bordeaux. Now she faces Josie who returns to action for the first time in over a year. Will Heidi's success continue or does the former 7-time Women's Champion Josie win with the experience advantage?

PLUS MUCH MORE!

OVW TV #685: "The Stage is Set"

Tonight at the Davis Arena, Trailer Park Trash put his foot down to get things back in order, Alex Silva defended the TV Title, the Mobile Homers clashed with the Best Team Ever, the reigning Women's Champion was in action, plus much more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Match:

Rob Terry b. Jeremiah Plunkett. Plunkett actually took the early advantage after giving Terry a few shots and taking him down after cutting out his knee. Plunkett tried to put Terry in a sleeper, but Terry fought back. He threw Plunkett off through the air and Plunkett landed on his stomach. He got up to a roundhouse kick from Big Rob and this one was over. MY TAKE: Terry is ready to get his hands on Crimson and regain the OVW Heavyweight Championship.

OVW TV #684: "Pop Goes the Weasel"

Tonight at the Davis Arena, Rob Terry was searching for Crimson, Alex Silva defended the OVW TV Title, the tag team division remains hot, the Femme Fatales were in action, and it was possibly the final night for the "Starmaker" Kenny Bolin..

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Match:

Adam Revolver (w/Ted McNaler & Brittany Devore) b. Jeremiah Plunkett. Plunkett called Adam a skinny punk and threw him down a couple times. He put Adam in a headlock and worked him over for a bit. Brittany gave Adam the rocket fuel, and he took a swig and came back on fire. He hit a dropkick and finished him off with a russian leg sweep for the pin. MY TAKE: The rocket fuel helps again as the Mobile Homers look toward their future encounter with the Best Team Ever.

OVW TV #683: "It's Clear To Me Now"

Tonight at the Davis Arena, Rob Terry was partners with who? Plus, Alex Silva defended the OVW TV Title, the new Women's Champion Heidi Lovelace was in action, and the tag team division continues to heat up.

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Match:

Moose & Michael Hayes b. Jeremiah Plunkett & Raphael Constantine. Constantine started with Moose, and twice tried to kick him, but didn't faze him and hurt his own foot. Moose & Michael tagged in and out with Constantine in the corner, taking turns giving him some shots. Constantine finally got away and tagged in Plunkett. Moose took him down and tagged in Michael. Plunkett was able to take advantage and kept Michael grounded. He tagged Constantine back in and Constantine worked over Michael for a while until tagging Plunkett back in. Michael was able to fight back and each made the tag to Constantine and Moose. Moose came in on fire, and Plunkett & Constantine tried to double team him to no avail. Michael got back up and hit the kneebuster to the face of Plunkett as Moose put Constantine in a variation of the Crossface for the tapout victory. MY TAKE: Moose & Michael remain hungry for their chance to once again fight for the tag team gold, but will they get the next opportunity?
