OVW TV #680: "Fatal 4 Ways & Pick Your Poison"

Tonight at the Davis Arena, we had many fatal 4 way matches for opportunities to enter late (spots 26-29) in the Nightmare Rumble, as well as the dreaded #1 spot. We also had a bet between Johnny Spade & Jamin Olivencia on who was better.

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:
Taeler Hendrix (w/Dylan Bostic) b. Epiphany. A humorous spot early on as Taeler tried to clothesline Epiphany, but didn't even budge her. Taeler tried to regroup outside the ring and while on the ring apron, Epiphany knocked her off and Dylan failed to catch her, causing her to get up and yell at and slap him. She got back in to more offense from Epiphany, but Dylan got on the ring apron distracting Epiphany. Taeler was able to win with a roll-up while holding the ropes. MY TAKE: Although it wasn't a title match, Taeler continues to hold on strong to the Women's Championship. Will she have to defend at SNS?

Fabiano Rolento & Raphael Constantine b. Eddie Diamond & Elvis Pridemoore (w/"The Hype Man" Timmy Danger). Fabiano started off with Diamond as he showed off his karate skills. A little back and forth between the two before they each tagged in their partners. Constantine & Elvis went at it, and Elvis took the advantage after Danger tripped Constantine. Elvis tagged Diamond back in, and he worked over Constantine until a tag to Fabiano. Fabiano took the fight to Diamond, and was able to hit a finisher for the win. MY TAKE: Strange pairings in this matchup, but I didn't care. I got to wear my sombrero and watch Fabiano get a victory!

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. If you plan on watching the show first, you should pick back up reading later as I move into the main show. I will always recommend watching the show first before reading my report. You can find the shows online at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Congratulations to OVW's PWI 500 Representatives!

Many of the WWE & TNA superstars take the top spots, but PWI also considers wrestlers from Japan and the independents. OVW TV #679: "Tag Titles & Top Rope Takeovers"

Tonight at the Davis Arena, we found out who would get to be the lucky final entrant in the Nightmare Rumble at SNS, and we were also treated to an OVW Southern Tag Team Title Match. Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Match:
"The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal b. Eddie Diamond (w/"The Hype Man" Timmy Danger). A funny slip-up by Terry Boddie who called Randy the "Rated R Superstar" before correcting himself. Royal had the quick start on this match until he ran off the ropes and Danger grabbed his foot, temporarily distracting him enough for Diamond to get some shots in. It wasn't enough, though, as Royal came back and finished him off with the "Royal Treatment" for the pin. MY TAKE: Royal didn't let his loss against Crimson keep him down as he came back strong with a victory tonight. What does the future hold next for Double R?

That was tonight's only pre-show dark match. If you plan on watching the show first, you should pick back up reading later as I move into the main show. I will always recommend watching the show first before reading my report. You can find the shows online at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

OVWmania Presents: OVW Top 20 (15th Edition)

This is the OVW Top 20 for the week of August 14-20, 2012 exclusively on OVWmania. Which superstars made an "IMPACT" after their debut, and which ones took a step in the wrong direction?

OVW TV #678: "Spade vs. Jamin at SNS...Maybe"

We had another big night of action at the Davis Arena as we again found out more about the Heavyweight Title situation between Johnny Spade & Jamin Olivencia. We also had a "BIG" surprise with the OVW debut of a TNA Superstar. I also took a few extra pics tonight of some of the action. Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:
Alex Silva b. Arik Kristopher. Silva came out on fire and dominated the entire match. He kept yelling at AK to show him something, and said he was tired of the same guy and same story every week. Alex finished AK off with the Silva Surfer. MY TAKE: You can call it cockiness or arrogance, but the results don't lie. Silva continues to dominate in OVW, and you can't blame him for wanting more competition to prove why he's one of the top dogs. It may just be a matter of time before Silva is wearing gold.
Next, we had the hillbilly rapper, Elvis Pridemoore, come to the ring accompanied by Cyndi Snow. He talked about how he was from Down South, and said Cyndi was going to be in his music video. He then asked the fans if they wanted to hear a little bit of his album. He started rapping, but was interrupted by J. Best. Best came out with a "40" and a bucket of KFC. He said no one wanted to hear Elvis rap, if anyone should rap it's him. He asks for music, but the entrance music of "Bodyguy" Max Wolfgang hits as he struts to the ring. Bodyguy says no one wants to hear either of them rap, they want to see the Bodyguy pose. He asks for music, but the Assassin's hits. Assassin comes out and Elvis escapes the ring as Assassin takes out Best & Bodyguy with big clotheslines. Ricky Chevy sneaks out with a chair and hits Assassin from behind, but it doesn't faze him. Assassin turns and goes after Chevy, but Chevy runs out of the ring and to the back. Elvis gets back in the ring with Cyndi and celebrates as Raphael Constantine walks out and shakes his head before heading to the back.

That concludes the pre-show dark matches. If you plan on watching the show first, you should pick back up reading later as I move into the main show. I will always recommend watching the show first before reading my report. You can find the shows online at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

OVW TV #677: "The Champ Is..."

We had another big night of action at the Davis Arena following the controversy from the last Saturday Night Special. We learned more about the championship situation between "Smooth" Johnny Spade & Jamin Olivencia and had a TV Title Triple Threat between Ryan Howe, Rob Terry, and defending champion, Tony Gunn. Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Match:
BS 2.0: Joe Coleman, Jason Wayne, & Rocco Bellagio (w/Chris Bolin & Jack Black) b. Elvis Pridemoore, "Marksman" Nick Dumeyer, & Arik Kristopher). AK started out against Big Rocco, but didn't even faze the big man with any of his shots. BS 2.0 took turns decimating each opposing member of the other team, and made quick work in what was basically a squash. Rocco & Wayne hit a double chokeslam on AK, and Rocco made the pin for the win. MY TAKE: BS 2.0 gets back on the winning track following a bad night at SNS. What does the "Prince" Chris Bolin have in mind for his group next?

That was the only pre-show dark match tonight. If you plan on watching the show first, you should pick back up reading later as I move into the main show. I will always recommend watching the show first before reading my report. You can find the shows online at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

OVW TV #676: "A Preview of What's To Come?"

We had another great night at the Davis Arena as we head into this month's Saturday Night Special. We had the last semifinal in the Nightmare Cup, and emotions boiling over between "Smooth" Johnny Spade & Jamin Olivencia. Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:
Ricky Chevy came out with a picture of the Assassin. He said he's been trying to call out that "coward", Trailer Park Trash, for a match at Homecoming 9, but keeps getting interrupted by the Assassin. He said if the Assassin wants to come out and interfere in his business, he'll show him what he'll do to him in a match. Chevy then piledrives the picture and drops an elbow on it. The Assassin's music hits and as Chevy looks toward the curtain, the Assassin comes out from under the opposite side of the ring. The Assassin grabs Chevy's foot, and Chevy tries to get away. Assassin grabs Chevy's pants and pulls them off, and a little more, as Chevy scampers away in his underwear. This match wasn't all it was "crack"-ed up to be. MY TAKE: After we were blinded by Chevy's backside, it's hard to comment on much else.

Rob Terry b. Raphael Constantine. Constantine was upset to no longer have the ladies by his side, and was even more upset to learn that Big Rob was his opponent. Constantine brought a Book of Mormon to the ring with him, and told Terry to give him a second as he read about the "truth". Constantine tried to get in a cheap shot by hitting Terry in the head with the book, but Terry just stared at him. Constantine threw the book to Terry who started looking at it as Constantine ran the ropes. Constantine ran into Terry and knocked himself down, as Terry (still looking at the book) just stood there like a brick wall. Terry slammed him, and then placed him on the top rope and told him to bring it. Constantine jumped off, where Terry caught him for a big swinging side slam for the win. MY TAKE: Big Rob is back on a path of destruction making quick work of Constantine. When this monster is focused, can he be stopped?

That concludes the pre-show dark matches. If you plan on watching the show first, you should pick back up reading later as I move into the main show. I will always recommend watching the show first before reading my report. You can find the shows online at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
